I have only used this monitor and an HP f1503 and I will always choose this monitor over the HP. I use it as my main monitor with the HP as monitor 2. I absolutely love it. I will totally buy another emachines monitor if I ever need to buy a new monitor.

If you are in the market for an inexpensive monitor and are not too picky about picture quality, this is a good buy. I've had it for like three years and it came with a computer bundle also from eMachines. The strongest point of this monitor is that it's a no-frills, inexpensive monitor that will fit any basic purpose. There are probably better options for just a bit more money, however. While the picture is sharp, the overall color is dark and a bit muddy compared to more expensive monitors. I've tried three different video cards and all have had the same darkness. The factory setting of the contrast is at max (wow) and turning the brightness up only makes matters worse. Also this monitor is a flat-screen CRT. Meaning you get the picture of a flat-screen, but the bulkiness of the "old-skool" monitors. But if neither of those two comments bother you and you have a strict, under $100 budget, this isn't a bad way to go.

Bought the unit to replace a 5 year old 17" CRT monitor. Unit looks really nice and it was slightly smaller that the old one. Out of the box, I could sense there was going to be trouble. The blue indicator light was a little too noticeable for me, especially where it is located. I've had it for about 3 weeks and now it looks like it is going to be a dud! Color is flickering and just last night, it switched to a yellowish hue and stayed there for most of the evening. I will be returning it and will buy what I should have bought in the first place for just a few dollars more. 8o(

Recived this monitor free with the purchase of a Compaq. I recently bought an XFX geforce 7900gs, and i noticed a red 1px line outlining the screen, didn't think too much about it. After about a year or so, this monitor became flickering occasionally and i thought it was the video card. Until just this morning, the screen started 'freaking out' and went completely black. after several reboots, the screen would stay black, but the entire screen image was compressed into a simple 5px. line going across the screen, thus becoming un-usable. Right now im stuck with a 15in (i think) IBM monitor from 1997. i guess it works for now. Overall this was a great monitor when we recieved it, but its a big letdown that its gone so quickly.. I suppose its served its purpose from getting it for free.

Works good with most of my graphic video games, but some of the higher ones have some problems, other than that it is perfect.

Great Monitor Crystal Clear Images (But it's not Hi-Def) Worth the price completly.
