 I have 675feetin my small home. I bought this unit and I put it in the bedroom and I have one in the living room. Between these two units it cools my entire home to a pleasant 75° even though it’s 93 outside. Noise? It’s no louder than a fan running. Actually I find it quite soothing to listen to. cooling? I will not sleep in a hot bedroom again thank goodness! It feels so pleasant in there. Easy to set up? Yes! I am 64 and very arthritic. I was able to roll the unit over and assemble it in approximately 15 minutes. Now it’s in there quietly, my room is super cool and I’m a happy camper. Absolutely love this unit! When winter comes, I will simply store it and shut the window. Way better than window unit who wants to lift one of those heavy things into the window and secure it? Not me. This was a great for, the price.

Bought this unit for the bedrooms. It is quieter than my GE unit. It does work well and easy to install. I do wish the piece that fits in the window was deeper to allow room for hose part. We used the foam but still had to add a towel in the window track to raise enough to fill in the gap.

It’s good to use for dry the wall and air in the room but the noise is Extremely loud:/ everything else is nice and easy to use

Works great for the money. We use it when we sleep and it makes for great white noise too.

I ordered a new item and recieved an open box item, missing parts to put in the window and to put on vent hose. I paid full price and got an open box that was re taped and strapped with corner guards…once my bestbuy credit card is paid off im never ordering from bestbuy again.

I purchased the Emerson Quiet Kool portable air conditioner. I just did a trial startup to see if it worked. It was as noisy as most portable air conditioners. Set up was easy. Just put the kit together & place it in the window. I do not know what the energy costs are yet. I know it will be more than a window unit. Would like to see a portable in a budget range with both intake & out going vent hoses.That is more energy efficient. This 5k btu should be sufficient for a smaller space. The 5k btu window units can cool a much greater area than the specs indicate. I hope this can too. You must hold the power button down for 3 seconds to make it stop. That is counter intuitive. I liked that it has wheels so I can move it to bedroom, if need be. good price on sale at best buy. It has not been hot enough yet to evaluate how well it cools the space. will report back later.

This is a great unit for an 11x11 room. Cools quickly and is relatively quiet when compared to other portable models I have purchased previously. The only downsides to the unit are that the led display which shows the temperature does NOT turn off when you turn the unit off and it is very bright which can be distracting when trying to sleep. Also the unit does not tell you the temperature of the room like other models I have had, this is not a deal breaker or awful, but it is a nice feature that would complete it.

Cools good, but programing is confusing. Got this as backup to central air conditioning in event the main house unit goes out, then there could be a cool spot.

A good unit but it stays on low…..The fan is low, medium, and high which is backwards to me because the purchase is more for the air conditioner than fan….therefore you are not getting the high or medium air you are suppose to get but low mode, not hot air…the air is nice and cold. Although it stays on low I believe a customer will still get satisfaction out of this unit…..

It cools great only problem is that the controls on the actual AC suddenly stopped working and only works from the controller.

Amazing for small spaces. We love ours. We use it in our sons room and its super cold for hit days. Would totally recommended!

Luckily I had a Dremel and after some cutting and screwing the window plate was affixed properly. Had to research on YT how to connect the hose properly, so I wish Emerson had better installation videos. Operation of the unit is good for our small bonus room.

Got this for my home office because my wife and daughter like the house warmer than I do and it does great keeping my room a comfortable temp. We'll see how well it keeps up once the full heat of an Arkansas summer hits.

It is quiet and cools the intended room, Elegant design, works as advertised

Very quiet motorized vents are ok but would like a overide feature to keep in one place. No problems it does the job. The 24 hour timer is a great feature

This portable AC is able to reduce the temperature of a small dorm room from 74°F to 68°F within 30 minutes. I have been very happy with the performance of this AC. One downside would be that when the compressor kicks on at night, it is rather startling. Although this isn't an issue in the day.

This AC is okay if you are sitting down and you place it facing you directly. It doesn't do a great job cooling the entire space but does blow cool air directly at you. The window vent is not very sturdy so you really have to place it and leave it without moving it or the window vent comes off. I got it for a small office area I have so I positioned it to hit me directly while I work and its fine for that. Other than that, I would have returned it if I wanted to use to cool the entire room. You also have to turn it on at least 30 min before to cool enough to sit comfortably.

Cools off my bedroom perfectly sits perfectly in the corner of my bedroom.

This particular product is very nice to have in a small apartment and it get the job done.
