Nice compact printer

The ET-3700 is a small footprint printer, it fit easily upon my desk and didn't take up too much room at all. Thumbs up for the compactness.
Initial setup was straight forward, instructions were clear and easy to follow, ready to go in less than 30 minutes, from start to finish, that includes unpacking the printer, downloading the drivers and installing the software, filling ink tanks, and charging the ink.
Disappointed the LCD screen wasn't touchable, it was a bit of a hassle manually typing a long wifi password using the arrows on the panel but it was relatively painless.
Printing was a little noisy, but really not much louder than my usual printer. The output looked great. Text was sharp and legible, photos were nice and clear. I did notice an occasional black ink smudge on some of my printouts however.
Scanning was super quiet, I could barely tell it was working, and scanning to a computer or to the Cloud from printer itself was a breeze.
The ability to print or scan from your tablet or phone via Epson Connect is a handy function and I really like being able to see the ink levels at a glance.
One thing noticably missing for an office printer is an Automatic Document Feeder, also lacks a fax although fax usage these days is much less than it used to be.
Ink bottles are relatively inexpensive, and appears to be a cheaper alternative to cartidges. Box includes "up to 2 years worth of ink" however I don't know how accurate this claim will end up being. I've printed about 60 pages so far and I'm already two-thirds the way through the first black bottle.
Overall, the ET-3700 has good print quality with decent speed, would be great for a home office. The lack of ADF and a fax does limit it's capabilities in an office environment, however definitely not a deal breaker. Seems a bit pricey for what you get to be perfectly honest, there are cheaper alternatives.

This printer have been exceeding my expectations. I love its size because it's perfectly fitting on my desk and It is not heavy. The whole set up and installation process took me about 25 minutes and was easy, I just followed the recommended steps .
What's inside the box ? The printer; 2 sets of ink (that can last 2 years according to the information on the box); the manual and the drivers CD.
I didn't use the CD to install the drivers , I went to the website and downloaded them so no need to have a CD reader to use this printer.
The ink used here is different from cartridges, it's 4bottles of liquid ink, at first I thought it would have been messy but it wasn't.
I took a pleasure while exploring all the features : print, scan and copy. You can actually connect the printer to a phone or a tablet and print from there no need to have a computer. Connect up to 4 devices. I didn't use a USB cable to connect it with my computer once the drivers were installed everything went fine.
The feature I like the most is scan to cloud it is very useful. You can actually scan something and send it directly to your email. Isn't it awesome ?
I love and recommend this printer and would have give 5 stars if it has the fax

Comes with Lots of Ink

My new Epson ET3700 arrived with a Quick Start Guide, a manual, a software CD, power cord, and 8 bottles of ink (2 of each color - Black, Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow). This Epson model uses a new ink well system design to lower printing costs. The thought of filling the ink wells from a bottle made me a little nervous, but I soon discovered I was able to quickly fill each of the 4 reservoirs without spilling a drop. Just held each bottle on the tank nozzle until the gurgling sound stopped, removed the bottle and the ink was ready.
Connecting the printer wirelessly for other buyers will probably be easier than it was for me because I already have so many devices on my router. Once I turned off a couple of my other devices I was able to quickly connect the printer to my router following the instructions in the guide. I can now print from our Mac or other tablets easily.
The ET3700 prints, makes copies, and scans photos and documents, but it does not have fax capabilities. Also, the display is not a touch screen, but has easy navigation buttons next to the screen. I’m excited that this printer comes with so much ink. Looks like I’ll be printing and making copies for a long time before it’s time to refill! Oh yes, it does a great job scanning to our MAC!

This is a great Epson printer. The setup was very easy and took no time at all. I used WPS setup to get the new printer connected to my network and it was very easy. It took a little getting used to the screen not being a touch screen but overall the printer seems very well built. When opening the main compartment to get to where you fill the ink chambers I felt like I was going to break it off with the amount of force it took to get the lid to stay open, but after the first time it was much easier. The new ink bottles are much better than the previous generation, I still had a drop of ink spill, but they are designed much better than before. I also really like how the windows to see how much ink is left are on the front of the printer so I can always visualize how much ink is left. The printer prints very fast, but is somewhat loud, almost louder than my laser printer which is somewhat surprising. The only thing I wish this printer had was a document feeder for the scanner. Overall I would highly recommend this product, especially if you are sick of ink cartridges (especially the cost)! Excellent Printer with Great Features

The Epson ET-3700 is a phenomenal printer form the time I have bend able to second with it.
Unboxing the printer was very quick and easy. The setup guide wasn’t long, and tells you exactly what to do as terse as possible. At first, the ink bottles worried me, and made me nervous because you have to fill the ink tanks inside of the printer. There are no removable cartridges. Luckily, the process is very easy, and there is zero chance of spilling ink anywhere.
Removing my old printer I took out the cartridges and looked at them. The amount of ink in them looked like 25x less than the Epson bottles, and the Epson bottles are cheaper. I was absolutely assontished to see the difference. This printer may be pricier up for the, but it will save you in the long run.
Once the ink was all filled, the actual setup was very easy, it took me about 2 minutes to connect to Wi-Fi and set everything up. Within five minutes of the ink being filled, I had a speech printed from my iPad.
The amount of ways that you can connect to the printer and print is astonishing. If you have a Google account, you can print from anywhere by simply signing in. If you have an Apple device, connect it on the same Wi-Fi network and your good. Even on Windows and my Mac the connection was instant. One of the surprising connections was the email. Epson gives you an emails address for your printer you can print from.
The quality of the printing is also great. I printed some family photos from vacation in DC on a 4x6 glossy paper, and the photos were sharp and the colors were very accurate. Looked much better than Walmart for instance.
My only complaint would be that the printer can not detect the size of appear automatically, and after a refill, you have to set it again. Other than that everything is great.
One more thing I would like to mention is the iPrint app. The iPrint app makes it very easy to send files to the printer and print them. You can select photos from your camera roll and send them right over with ease. This is really nice for family photos.
Overall, I love the printer and would defiantly recommend it to a friend. This is a review for the Epson Expression ET-3700 EcoTank All-in-One Printer that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.”

Great all-Around Printer

I have been looking for a printer for awhile now that can do it all. When I say that, I want the printer to print, copy and scan while using little ink. This printer definitely has it all. I love how the printer does not take ink cartridges and it's as simple as pushing an bottle with ink into the lettered tanks. I am excited to see how long this ink will last me since I do print a lot.
I also love the easy to read LED screen and the simple set-up of the printer. I have recently tried printing from my smart phone and was so happy at how easy it was. This has literally changed the way I use my computer and complete my tasks. My daughter is 10 and even said that this printer is amazing. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone who is over fooling with cartridges. Whole Lot of Printing!

This is an excellent printer that can print up to 14,000 black pages w/out buying more ink refills! Seriously, that will last me a long time! It can copy, scan and color printing is awesome. The EcoTank holds a lot of ink which will save me a lot of money and time. I hate changing printer cartridges and the EcoTank solves that issue.
The box contains the driver CD, power cord, and ink bottles for each color. Very simple to load the ink but be very careful not to spill and make sure it goes in the tank correctly. It could get messy. After that, it's just running through the setup and then you're off and running. The longest part of setup is usually entering the WiFi password and connecting. It took around 10 minutes total for me to set it completely up. You'll find the 2.4" color LCD screen easy to navigate through but it's not touch screen so you utilize the arrow keys.
Great printing of grayscale and color documents. This is still ink but this is the greatest achievement in a long time! Very simple operation to scan and copy virtually anything that will fit into the printer. Easily print from your mobile device using Epson Connect. High color resolution produces great images. Very nice compact size that fits nicely on my desk.
The ink is equivalent to 30 sets of ink cartridges! This will definitely help me to keep my costs down and not worry so much about printing too much or letting the kids print everything that they ever see! Great buy and will definitely recommend to my friends and family. If you print a lot of text, decent print quality photos and don't need high speed, then this is what you need. Plenty of ink comes with it (8 bottles) and it doesn't break the bank to refill either.
I've owned several inkjet printers over the past 20 plus years and they have all had one thing in common. Expensive little ink cartridges or ink tanks that didn't last very long. Cheap printer up front and expensive ink subsidizing the printer's actual cost.
Looks like Epson is bucking that trend with the EcoTank system (Canon with Mega Tank) and that pleases me. I don't mind paying more for the printer up front and less for the ink. So far I have printed plenty with it in the past 5 months. It's worked perfectly and my ink levels are at about 75%. This printer replaced a Canon Maxify which was an ink hog and Canon went up on the ink price too. One of the reasons I went to Epson.
Text Print Quality is pretty good. I believe it uses dye ink as opposed to pigment ink. The Maxify used pigment ink which printed sharper, blacker text and a little more vivid colors. However the Maxify didn't print very good photos. Over saturated colors.
Photo Print Quality is very good considering it's just 4 colors. When used with good photo paper and proper print settings. Note that I also own Canon Pro-10 (pigment ink) and Pro-100 (dye ink) professional photo printers to compare the ET-3700 to. It holds its own ok but it will Never equal the photo quality of either those printers. Nor was it made to. However Epson does make some EcoTank models beyond the ET-3700 that will print photos much better. But still will not match Canon or Epson professional photo printers. But for general purpose photos to give away to friends & family it is prenty good enough for that.
Speed is ok but not as fast as the Maxify and some other printers. Keep in mind that the Maxify was built for speed in an office setting and this isn't. Read the specs for the exact numbers and settings.
Scanning and copying is on par with similar all in ones. Looks nice and clean to me. Scanning software could be a little better.
WiFi works fine. No problems there. Easy to set up It can use a router or direct to device. No touch screen but navigation is easy and the display has good resolution. Control panel tilts. Only 1 paper tray. Printer updates itself when needed via WiFi.
Overall I'm very satisfied with this printer. It's made pretty sturdy overall but certain parts do feel a little cheap. I have printed more with this printer in 5 months than I did the Maxify in 3 years and 3 sets of ink cartridge replacements! Replacing all 4 runs $100 now. It's apx $60, last I checked, to replace all 4 ink bottles for the ET-3700. It prints SO Much more for So Much Less!
If you do a lot of printing, occasional scanning (lacks auto feeder) and don't need a FAX then I highly recommend this printer.

We've had this printer for about a month now and are very pleased with it so far. Does great printing - even on photos, is really fast, prints on two sides flawlessly and has used almost no ink so far. Love the fact you can see how much ink is left from the front panel of the printer. Only a few small complaints - first, the small LCD screen isn't a touch screen, you have to use the arrows and keypad to work your way thru the menus. Seems like they should be able to provide a touch screen now a days. Second, it's really noisy if you're in normal mode - it was so bad it scared me every time it would start to print as it came on and positioned the paper. So we only print in quiet mode, but that works great. And lastly, it's not the easiest to load paper into or switch paper on when you want to print on different size sheets or photo paper.
Overall, though, we're really happy with how it's working, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from buying ink every few months when all you do is normal printing.

I've owned more than a dozen different printers over the years, but it was the Epson EcoTank ET-3700 All-in-One that was the breakthrough product for me, and hands down the best printer I've ever had. After two years, I love its print quality and its advanced and generously stocked ink system, in which you can load individual colours when and as you need them. Epson EcoTank printers really do minimize the cost of ownership. I also feel relief that in using it I will not empty some puny little multi-colour cartridge of one colour, and have printing stalled until I spend $40 on colours I have not used, in cartridge that seems to last only a few pages. This printer comes with super ink capacity. It prints double-sided, scans fast, prints evenly, and can do great photo printing on glossy premium photo paper. If I need more yellow ink, a large bottle of yellow ink is only $14. Therefore I am finding that I own the printer rather than being owned by it. Here's what I like: It comes with (in my case) about four years worth of ink. It has ink fuel gauges on the front where you can see them. It is wireless (Wi-Fi), and with a very simple setup, it found my home network and formed a secure connection that is rock-solid, and surprisingly fast, even when printing photographs (which it is very good at). It feeds everything from the front and can sit on a shelf out of the way. There are several new EcoTank models now, but from what I hear everything I said here applies to them too. I would be a repeat buyer in a millisecond. The only minus is that the on-off button is flush with the surface, which makes it difficult to find in the dark.

This printer has good quality prints (not photo quality but still good). The speed of the prints is not very rapid, and the copies make a lot of noise during the printing process. However, the printer is eco-friendly with the refillable ink cartridges (user has to set it up). The printer can function wirelessly and is able to accept prints from remote locations. There are a few convenience items that would be welcome (i.e. turn off remotely and/or with a single button push) but I would buy this printer again and it works well and the price was right.

I have had many Epson printers. They all worked great. I expect the same from this printer. I especially like the concept of ink tanks. When performing a long print I do not need the waste ink by changing low level ink cartridges. The printer is small and compact, takes up less desk space. It is a little louder than most Epson printers I have had in the past.
