Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the picture quality, brightness, easy setup, and price of the Home Cinema 880 projector. They appreciate the high-quality images, good brightness even in well-lit environments, simple installation process, and affordability of the product. However, customers are negative about the fan noise, lack of proper zoom, limited HDMI inputs, manual focus adjustment, and contrast ratio. They find the fan to be loud, express disappointment in the absence of a proper zoom feature, wish for more HDMI ports, and mention that the focus and contrast ratio could be improved.

I wanted something just to hook up a Roku device to and a blu-ray player for my occasional use outdoors when its hot and for a more Theater like setting once in a while. Overall, picture quality is excellent, brightness is really good, even at sunset. Accesibility to some of the settings is a bit tricky but once you are there, it is easy to work with (and you only have to set it once). I love that it has the automatic bezel based on the angle of the projector, but it does lack the ability of a mechanical zoom lens (it is only for focus). Of course, it only has one hdmi input and a stereo output, so it very simple, not really customizable in that way, the usb port I haven't tried. I think this is a great buy for simple use and to enjoy a good movie on a big screen.

Fair warning, this is a first impression review. I am blown away by this thing. My only real expectations were based on the 2-3 thousand dollar projectors I remember as a kid. This absolutely blew them away, the picture quality in my basement, even on just the wall is excellent, the colors pop, the brightness is great. I’m projecting about 150 inch image and it’s still as good quality as say, a 65 inch tv of the same price. It was incredibly easy to set up and use out of the box with a google play attachment. Casting is effortless and all setup is incredibly simple, pretty much plug and play. The only thing is the audio volume is very limited, but I expected that, and it has a 3.5 mm jack so setting up a speaker system should be as effortless as everything else has been with this device. TLDR, For the price you absolutely cannot go wrong and this device has my 100% recommendation, although I’d recommend investing in a sound system.

Great projector for the money. We got ours $100 off MSRP. We had a no name projector from the big box online retailer that claimed to have higher lumens but it could not play during daylight. We treated ourselves to this Epson C880 and are very impressed. This projector can project a full image in our backyard entertainment space in daylight and has even better quality at night! The fan is audible but if you used an external speaker, thank you aux port, the external speaker drowns out the fan easily. For the money we decided to spend a little more for known quality and for a brand we know we can get replacement bulbs for whenever we end up needing them. The photo is from a cloudless sky at 5:30pm, on a dirty projector screen. Setup was super quick and easy, the auto focus works, and the little adjustable legs are also helpful.

This was my first entrance into using a projector for the purpose of an outdoor movie. I paired it was a 120" 1.3 gain white screen with a dark back. 4k wasnt in the budget and i already had some speakers on the back of the house. We were able to start the movie while the sun was just starting to set -- it sets directly into our faces, so that didnt help -- the movie was viewable, but a little light even on the brightest setting. Once the sun set behind the trees and as night began to fall, it was a different story. The picture quality was amazing and all the colors popped! It was an animated kids movie, so there was no shortage of good visuals and animation. The kids and adults were all very happy with it. Is it the greatest projector in the world...probably not (esp if you wanted more kick out of the built in speakers or more lens adjustments) but for the very short money I spent after the sale price and BB points, im thrilled at the results. The wife is having a "Mom's night" tonight for the neighborhood ladies, so hopefully it'll go off well for them too. ****the attached picture is from cable TV and I didnt take the picture showcase the image....it looked far better in person****

Made my backyard a drive in theater and THE hangout space of the summer! We have even played video games on the back of the house. The backyard neighbors are jealous but love the free movie screenings.

Decided to finally upgrade my old $200 projector. I mostly used it indoors and outdoor for movie night with my son, however waiting until 8:30 so it was dark enough had become too much of a burden. I bought this based on reviews that it works in brighter light. The difference was drastic as you can see in the photos. These were taken :05 apart in the same exact lighting. The sound is okay, totally acceptable for casual viewing. I use an aux cable into my old bose with makes for an easy movie night set up. I would give this 6 *'s if i could.

Upgrading from an old 720p projector, I knew I would be getting a better picture. However, I did not expect such a massive difference. It is pretty much plug and play. I had it working in less than 5 minutes of opening the package, with my Amazon Firestick. I attached 2 photos showing the image quality. Both are taken in the middle of the day. One is with shades open, one is with the shades closed. They are on a beige wall, with no screen. My only issue is with the sound; the fan runs fairly loud. Though, once I get the sound system and projector mounted properly, I don't see that being as big of an issue for us. I just want others to be aware if you planned on using onboard speakers.

This is an excellent projector for the money! We painted our living room wall with Behr jet black matte paint and the image is awesome, even with lights turned on. Yes, our living room is always lighted up! See photos for yourself! I would like to note that this projector's fan makes noise, but you get used to it within a week.

I knew for a long time that I wanted to replace the TV with a projector and I knew that I wanted an Epson. When I was in school I always liked how we could use the projector with all the classroom lights on and still see it clearly and all the colors. The fan is quiet, the speaker goes up to 10 in volume and sounds just fine. We use the internal speakers when the bluetooth is charging. I have a Bose bluetooth speaker that I use with it and it sounds like the sound comes right from the screen. In the daytime, which I’m most excited about, it shows great. Now it truly is my TV because I can watch live TV anytime or day and there’s no real difference in performance. Once it starts to get dark and the lights are on, it’s the same thing. We usually prefer to turn the lights off and it’s so bright, the room just glows. All around best purchase I’ve made all year. And playing the Nintendo Switch has really made it even better. Game night is everything.

Great 1080p projector, colors are very vibrant and pop on screen. Very easy to set up and also has mountings holes for various types of mounts, the only draw back I have found is when running on max brightness (vibrant) and eco mode off. I run in on cinema mode and eco mode on, cinema mode has most accurate colors. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants a good entry level projector.

This projector exceeding all my expectations. I didn’t even use a screen and have it playing off my wall. I love how it changes between dynamic and bright cinema. For the movies I use dynamic. I have it set at 50 for brightness. If you are considering one I promise you can’t go wrong with this one.

I bought this for outdoor use while sitting outside next to my fire pit. I’ve watched a few movies so far and it’s been working fine. It takes me a little while to set it up only because I have to get a power cord out, set up a table, hook up my phone or my iPad to it, set up a makeshift screen, lite tiki torches and fire. Once this is all done it’s a fun time. It really lights up the back yard so I try to angle it so the neighbors don’t get blasted out from the back light. I also hook up an extra speaker through a plug in cord off the back of the projector because it has no bluetooth and that is just fine. Just make sure you ask what kind of cords and hookup wires you need to buy when you purchase it. I use it off my phone, iPad and with a speaker.. so you’ll need those wires. I took pictures on everything you’ll need while your ordering things and how I hooked it up… so you owe me one!

Great picture quality, Looked really good right out of the box. Only has 1 HDMI port, but is a non-issue if you are using a receiver for all your sources. Speakers are absolutely garbage on this thing but this is not a concern if you are using this as a home theater projector and have a dedicated surround sound setup, I purchased this specifically for the image quality and it does not disappoint when it comes to that! Use it in the eco mode and it still looks amazing.

Wow! That’s all I have to say! I had purchased a junk basic rca in October and the picture sucked! I upgraded to this bad boy, and it met my expectations and more. Even on my grey wall this thing is bright and the resolution is top notch. I hesitated because of price, but so glad i went ahead with it. Do yourself a favor, purchase this and go enjoy your new movie nights.

For the price the clarity is absolutely amazing! Extremely Bright and doesn't need to be pitch black for the projector to work outside. Had HDMI input which I use for a Chromecast and has audio out for an external speaker (I run JBL flip 4). Could not be happier

Bought this projector to watch a movie inside my home. But the quality was sooooo good that I decided to test it on my house exterior wall and OMGGGGG. It was 1080p quality outside. I decided to have a movie night and invited the neighbors and we had a movie night for everyone. The kids loved it ans the adults had a blast. I highly truly recommend it. My pictures don’t give it justice. But it’s MARVELOUS.
