This projector is fantastic. The picture quality is better than you would believe. Company gaze at it in amazement. The setup was easy and it's very flexible to whatever you choose to project the picture on. The brightness level is very good, even in a well lit living area.

After spending hours of research on projectors, I decided to go with the Epson PowerLight Home Cinema 2030 and I am so glad I did. The image quality is very sharp, colors very vibrant despit the fact that I tested the projector on my white wall. You don't need a projector screen to take advantage of its image quality. Very easy to operate once you choose your video source the Horizontal and vertical image correction makes it easier to make minor adjustments. Shoots in full HD. Is 3D ready. I haven't had the chance to test yet. The fan is a little noisy but once your movie starts you can't hear the fan. I'm not sure if all projector get really hot but this one does. You have to wait at least half an hour before putting it away. If you're going to mount it don't even worry about it. The projectors speaker is not loud at all with all the volume up specially if you're outside where there's noise. You definitely need external speakers. Overall, excellent purchased, great price and excellent image quality. This projector performance was beyond my expectation. The reason I gave it four stars was because it didn't come with 3D glasses. It already comes 3D ready why not include the glasses.

At a full 1080p, this projector has great picture quality. Even in eco mode, it displays well even when the blinds are open or the lights are on, as long as the light isn't shining directly on the picture. Setup is pretty easy, and there are plenty of options to adjust picture size, orientation and quality. It also does quite well when you can't aim the projector directly at the wall, allowing you to compensate for picture distortion both horizontally and vertically. As for the sound quality of the speakers, as long as you don't expect the built in speakers to match a real sound system, they're not bad, and are certainly useful for when you can't connect to another sound system.

I have enjoyed the output from this projector by watching professional quality TV and movies in a completely dark media room for about two months, a replacement for a Mitsubishi 3800 that had its HDMI capability blown out by a power surge. This is a fine projector--well worth the investment. Its picture quality is superb and it was easy to install and connect to my Onkyo sound system. In hindsight, though, I would have spent more money to get a projector with lens adjustment that would have allowed me to size the image and mount in the same position as the previous projector--We had to move it forward about 18 inches. This machine is also a bit noisy, even in eco-mode. Sound from the audio system does drown out the projector's noise, but it still is noticeable during quiet periods in the originating tract. If you want to spend a bit more, it probably would be worth additional investment to get a quieter machine. If not, this is a fine product for the money.

Great image right out of the box. I use cinema mode for TV and movies and could not be happier. Projecting onto a 100 inch screen 3d is awesome. Get the Samsung 3d glasses much cheaper then the Epson glasses. Tip; Use HDMI two to watch 3d. HDMI one with has MHL compatibility would not play 3d movies. Lack of lens shift can make placement a challenge, but not impossible. If that feature is important then Epson 8350 is what you want, but without 3d support. Features and image make this a great projector for the price.

I owned a Marantz projector that bit the dust and I was not looking forward to replacing the $5000 must have toy....I found this projector and thought for 800 it would be worth the try. It is bright, great color, and better clarity than my old Marantz, which I know is due to technology continually evolving. If you are looking for a good buy this is it. The only negative is the projector is a little noisy but even my $5000 was noisy so it comes with the territory.

I love this projector. I had an older generation projector from a different manufacturer, but had to upgrade to a projector with HDMI inputs. The picture quality of this Epson is amazing. It's very crisp and bright enough where the room doesn't have to be completely dark to watch most movies. The throw ratio range is also very good. The projector doesn't have to be very far away from the wall to get a large picture.

For the price, this little projector does a great job. Plus points are brightness (both Color and White), clarity, 3 LCD; and nice 3D reproduction. Negatives are fan sound, and lack of options to select background or wall color. And Not so negative is that it's one step down model with 200 less Lumens is much cheaper. However for the price, this projector does a great job; and I'd rather go with it's one model smaller for significant sticker saving.

This is an excellent projector especially if you like 3D. this blows my TV 3D away. I was forced to get a new projector, was mad at the time but now I'm very happy they did. This blows my 2 yr old projector away. It is a little noisier for some reason then the other one, but I only notice on low volume things. love that it has an external speaker

We picked this up for Christmas to use as a portable movie projector for inside as well as outside movie nights. We use it on a 120 inch portable screen, and I am impressed with the overall quality. Naturally, the quality of the video input greatly impacts the image, but a Blu Ray on this thing is nice!

What a huge improvement over my prev DLP proj !!! After comparing DLP and LCD, I decided to try this. I was blown away by picture quality and color accuracy right out of box. I am projecting about 165"(yes) in dark basement from about 15 ft and picture is bright and awesome. I have watched content from bluray, dvd, Netflix, YouTube and all look great. Fan noise is noticeable in quite scenes but with sound system, I hardly hear it. One prob i have is in hdmi port conn, you can't change aspect ratio. So I use my ps3 comp cable to pc connector in hdmi mode and then can change aspect ratio. You can use this with lights on as well. Great proj for money with great warranty from Epson !!!!

I truly love this projector. I bought this instead of going with a large flat screen that would have cost double or triple the price and a smaller screen. The setup isn't to bad. Took about an hour to get my mount up and wires ran and I was up and running. The colors and clarity are amazing for projecting a 120" picture. The blacks however is the only down side. They are not horrible but could be much better if you want to spend the extra $ to get a better model. Overall I would say I would buy this projector again.

I purchased this for 900 for a pay per view fight and didn't get a backdrop/screen. Just positioned it on the wall and it worked perfectly. Had it expanded to about 70-80 inches and I must say I was surprised with the quality even when using a red textured wall for the backdrop.

The fan sound and the fact that I can't leave my heat on and watch a movie are my only issues. Considering what you get for the price though, this is the best projector on the market. On cinema mode the colors are beautiful, and the fan is quiet.

I purchased this projector appx. 2 months ago and have no major issues. The picture quality is excellent even projecting against a blank wall. There is a small amount of fan noise but it's not enough to distract from watching movies. I would highly recommend this product.

Wanted a powerful, but portable projector for work. While it's heavier than a specifically built travel-projector, the quality of the picture (especially in low light) more than makes up for the added weight.

Great price for a 1080p 3D projector. Beautiful picture, good zoom range, the fan is not at all obnoxious all in a small package. The replacement lamps come in pretty cheap as well! You need this epson!

Has everything you need in a projector. Looks great in the dark but washes out with average outdoor light coming through. The eco mode is quiet enough but normal is too loud for the little bit of extra brightness you get. All that said.... The price I paid from best buy was amazing and helped me to overlook the slight negatives. 3d is really great!

After researching different brands of projectors over multiple websites for about 30 days, I decided on the Epson 2030. The only darkness the room gets is in the evening (don't even have blinds on 2 over-sized windows yet). The picture quality of this projector is excellent (even during the daylight hours)! It is currently projected only on a painted wall, so expect the picture to REALLY pop once I finish my research on Grey, Black or White screens. Worth every penny!
