I was looking at a couple of different projectors from Epson and eventually chose this one. The price is great for what you get A nice bright screen at 3300 lumens, a resolution that matches a 720p screen and it arrived very quickly. This projector does not have all the auto features have the more expensive projectors, but it's not too difficult to do everything manually. The lamp life is rated at 6,000 hours and no remote and 10,000 hours in eco mode. I will be putting this to the test as I had a vivitech DLP projector that was at 5,060 hours and it was definitely timed upgrade. Yes, there are better projectors out there, but if you want a nice 720p multimedia home theater projector look no further The price can't be beat. I am very happy with the screen size, clarity and the audio isn't too bad either. I would note that there is no audio jack out for sound, but the easy workaround with this is by a Google Chromecast and TV and that has Bluetooth capabilities so you can connect right to your soundbar or stereo receiver. My wife and I are very happy with this projector, but let me tell you it is a bright screen so get ready for that hahaha.

This is perfect for my inhome theater. I don't own a TV and don't need one. My current layout is a 10ft screen in my living room of my 1Bed1Bath apartment. This is the best setup I've ever had. See photos.

This is review of Epson VS260 XGA (1024 x 768) 3LCD Projector.
The projector has the basic combination of interfaces delivering delivering above average sharp image for small as is.
As side note, I am not technical expert on the subject, and had to do some research about technical’s terms. But the review will be mostly focused on the experience.
The small hardware accomplish its design prospect for mobility and office use but delivering sharp image that impress. I projected in the plain white wall without the screen, and as is it was good enough to get lost in image and movie. And this is with resolution of XGA (1024x800 pixels, 4:3 aspect ratio) based Epson 3LCD, 3-Chip Technology according to Epson.
First, it has three type of interfaces, computer/component video D-Sub 15 Pin, USB connector Type B, and HDMI.
I attempted to use with Google Pixel book that has USB C via adaptor for USB Type B, but I couldn’t make it work hence I need to check what missing. Then tried with HDMI via adaptor to use with iPad Pro and same Google Pixel book. This last one has worked seamlessly upon connecting.
Resizing image wasn’t that bad after first or second time. It support about 7 sizes from XGA to SXGA +, brightness color/white output up to 3,300 lumens. The most impressive from its specification is that support color reproduction up to 1.07 billion colors. Naturally I can’t verify that, but a video from YouTube about nature and cities, does make to feel the vivid and reality of them. The sharp and crisp differences between color was more than needed and superb for the size and type of projector defying its main purpose for office usage.
Regarding the hard controls are only few on the top simple and self explanatory. Its remote control is alike most TV remote control bunch of keys. Only noticeable is it has volume control which is relevant for movie or video purpose.
To list what liked:
- Compact and simple to control without getting lost in the intend of use;
- Image is good enough and more than I could understand;
What I feel it was bit short which are more details:
- As being nearby during use, can feel the noise and heat that does get to disturb in the experience;
- The remote control include source LAN which is not supported. Either they wanted to add or just same remote control for all of the same line of projector but feels unnecessary distraction;
- Doesn’t have output for audio. Understandably it is made for office use, but I think at this stage maturity of projectors in the market, could have added as base as are the three type of sources of interface. As is have to rely on the projector speaker during the conference call or movie;
- Doesn’t have a cover for the lens.
The projector is optimal for small office team work and remote working, and as bonus for multimedia and movie streaming experience.

I have never before owned a projector or even been exposed to them since I was in school many years ago, with that said I was truly impressed the first time I powered the VS260 up and projected to a plain white wall in my home. I could not believe the clarity & being a fan of any type of huge screen it had me hooked immediately. My plan was to eventually use this in my office at work to project blueprints and other documents as well as for weekly safety videos and orientations. I purchased a 110" screen which arrived last week and spent a few hours installing the projector, screen & an apple TV together. I wish I would have thought of this setup before now because it has already changed things for the better and my employees love the setup. I have no issue at all with brightness even with the lights on, clarity is exceptional, noise is minimal and setup/adjustments are quite simple. With the addition of the apple TV I have no issue at all streaming from my phones, Ipad or laptop and the process is very smooth. As much as I truly love this new setup I have found myself desiring ONE essential specification that was not included in this model & that is the lack of an Audio Out connection. The only option is to use the built in speaker which leaves ALOT to be desired, I can not believe that in 2020 that even a mid-range device would not include this. I own MANY Epson products and will continue to purchase from them but as pleased as I am in every other way with the VS-260 this sound out issue keeps me from loving the unit.

Epson - VS260 XGA (1024 x 768) 3LCD Projector - White
I got this projector for the work that I do. I intended to use it in small group settings. I believe this projector will work very well in a room with 20 or 25 people. I might even be short changing the potential but I have not had the opportunity to do extensive testing.
The projector is modestly sized and very light. Setup was easy, as well. I have connected my Surface Pro 5 to the projector through a HDMI to USB connector. I have included a photo of a projection I did. You can also connect the projector with a USB cable or a VGA pinned connector though I did not try to do so. What I did find was the default color and brightness was very good with the capability to adjust both to taste. I am sure this unit will meet the criteria for any small project whether it be slideshows or videos. :Up until now, I am very satisfied with capability and results from this projector. The price seems reasonable compared to other projectors in the same class. I would have no problem recommending this projector. The output is good, the unit is portable and it is priced competitively.

The Epson - VS260 XGA (1024 x 768) 3LCD, is a nice entry level projector. I'm using it for movies, rather than presentation. Although, because of its light weight, either would be suitable.
Let me first say the only reason it doesn't get the 5 stars are two issues; first the fan is on the loud side due to, second how warm the lamp gets. I had it on for 30 minutes and the area on the front corner where heat is exhausted was pretty warm.
The picture does not appear to be 4K but it is very clear, and I didn't see any lag time in the scenes...albeit this wasn't an action packed movie I was watching either.
The body is a hard white plastic, with an HDMI, VGA port or USB to connect to your computer. It comes with a quick start guide, power cable, remote and batteries.

Upon opening the box for the Epson VS260 projector, it had the following items. [...] I noticed it’s compact size and clean look right away. The projector was fairly easy to set up. I was able to fine-tune the picture height with a front adjustable leg and internal picture angle adjustments when the screen is above the projector. It was easy to adjust the focus and zoom. I noticed an over scan of the picture, but I was able to turn that off. There are 5 picture modes to choose from: Dynamic, Presentation, Cinema, sRGB, and Blackboard. Once I adjusted all the picture settings to my needs, the picture was bright and had pretty good quality. Although not HD, it gave a picture that was clear and easily seen from all angles of the room. The manual said there was a lense cover, but I was not able to find it. The internal speaker was ok; it could be better. However, I was able to connect it to my surround sound system.
It would be an advantage to have a laser pointer within the remote for presenting at a distance; which is usually when one uses the remote. The fan noise was not noticeable while in use. The compact size allows me to carry the projector, a laptop, remote and cables all in one backpack.
Overall, the Epson VS260 projector worked well and I was satisfied with how it performed. This projector would work well in many settings. I can see it used in simple home theaters, offices, as well as classrooms; anything that needs a simple set up and nothing complicated or high tech. It’s a good all around projector. This is a review for the Epson VS260 XGA projector that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

Great Little Projector

The Epson Projector VS260 3LCD Projector in White has been useful in my self-employed, education-based, small business time, as well as for my relaxing personal down time family entertainment.
The image quality is remarkably crisp and clear for an affordable projector at this price. It's perfect to use for educational or business presentations (which is what I use it for).
It features manual focus lens. For best results, use this projector in medium sized rooms up To 12' X 14'.
It does come equipped a built-in speaker, which is convenient, but I do suggest the use of added speakers or a sound bar for better audio. Note that this unit does NOT come with Bluetooth.
The projector fan is not overly loud. You can hear it running in complete silence, but when watching a video, or listening to a speaker talk, it is not bothersome.
I'm very pleased that it has an HDMI port which makes it easy to have online conference calls projected, as well, as stream media from Roku, FireTV, etc. It allows for a wide range of devices to connect to it such as gaming devices, digital cameras, tablets, and laptops, for example.
The "E-zoom and image shift" features allows for convenient adjustment of the picture with easy zoom-in and zoom-out modes accessible from the included remote control (batteries included).
Besides the projector and remote, a power cord, and easy to follow quick start guide is included in the box.
Unfortunately, it does not contain a carrying case to protect it. Buying a separate carrying case for this portable projector would be a wise choice.
Speaking to it's lightweight portability, I like to also use it for entertainment outdoors in the evening, on our covered patio, where we have installed a roll-up screen.
It measures 11.9" x 9.3" x 3.2", and
this projector has several projection modes and one is for mounting on the wall or ceiling upside down using a separately purchased mounting system of your choice.

After review of this projector I find it very adequate for a person wanting a 85 inch or larger tv but unable to afford it at this time. I generally test projectors with an Apple TV constant through the evaluation process.
I found this unit to be a great alternative and would recommend it. Very sharp video quality and responsive remote along with a variety of inputs.

Great projector very bright especially in the dark but the speaker is not that loud unless you sit around the projector. I suggest you connect a speaker through bluetooth if you are gonna watch a movie. You also need a separate HDMI cable cuz they dont give u that

Good overall projector for presentations and occasional movie watching. The projector does have its own internal speaker which works fine for everyday presentations. It does not have an audio out, so you will need to determine a solution if you want to use external speakers for movies (which I suggest).
Image is acceptable, sometimes difficult to get a sharp image, especially with smaller text. The throw distance is good but larger images in well lit environments may not be as bright as you need for a really great image.
Easy to use. There are only 2 source inputs and only one is HDMI. Again, no audio outs. Remote is responsive and it is easy to use. Menus are a little crowded but it is not hard to find any needed settings.
For the price this is a good buy for a general use projector. If you are looking for a dedicated home theater projector for high quality images, keep looking.

So I had a overheating projector at home and decided to get a new one. I wanted to get one with composite inputs (The Yellow, red, and white wires) So I could play some older gaming systems. I even picked this one over projectors with better specs like 1080p resolution and LED bulbs that last 3x longer than this one.
Now the product arrived on time and in good condition. So that earns some gold stars...
However, it's a bit unprofessional that a week after I reported this issue, the product is still listed as having inputs it simply doesn't posses. It didn't even have an adapter included to provide this functionality.
If you're looking for a projector that has HDMI/vga/usb and projects a bright image, I recommend this product for you!
If you want to use a projector with Older game systems/ cameras/VCRs/etc this IS NOT the product for you.
