I like it a lot, but it scans unevenly sometimes..

I've noticed that the scanner tends to scans documents slightly crooked, especially the back side of a two-sided paper. This happens fairly often and sometimes I have to scan a paper 4 or 5 times and never get scanned evenly. (Yes, I made sure the paper wasn't folded or put in crooked. I also used the grey tabs to ensure the paper stays straight.) Other than that, they quality is very good, the scanner itself is fairly light and easy to move. It also scans in color and scans both sides of a double sided paper. P.S. Make sure you select if you are scanning in black/white or color. If you scan a black/white paper and you leave the color option on, your papers will look ugly! Of course, not the printers fault. Just an FYI! P.S.S The picture I posted shows a page I scanned and the grey is the part it unevenly scanned. I cut it so you can't see the entire page, but a large portion of the page has the uneven grey area.

I really like this scanner. I have another printer scanner and aways have trouble when I do multiple pages with the printer scanner. This Epson Workforce scanner handles that with ease. The set up only took about 5 minutes.

the scanner works great, it does several sheets and is pretty fast. the image is good and clear, easy to read. no lines so far like the last single scanner I bought. I gave it a 4 star instead of a 5 due to having to adjust the paper width every time I put paper in to scan even when its the same size.

This is one of those things where it works on it's own time sometimes. I'm not sure if everyone else has issues with anything "Bluetooth,Internet" related components. I love the sleekness of it and the small space it takes however, I sometimes have an issue with it scanning when I need it to. I have to sometimes (most times) disconnect it and reconnect it from the power fo pit to work. All in all I'm ok with it bc I really do not use it everyday so the minor inconvenience is tolerable.

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. When I first received the scanner I was amazed at how compact it was. I was going to hook it up to my desktop but there is no room on my desk so I took it to my Windows Tablet/Laptop to hook it up there. In the box you get the scanner, the AC adapter, USB cord and step by step instructions. Everything you need to just plug and go. The instructions are pretty clear. You first have to download the software. Then you have to connect the scanner and poof! It was connected. This scanner is so quick! I had tons of fun just seeing what I could scan and how fast it scans. The scanner can hold up to 20 pages and auto-feeds them through one at a time. This is great for people who have presentations that need to be scanned and emailed to other people. My son who is in college was asking about a scanner the other day. (If my husband doesn't keep this one I'm pretty sure my son will get it.) One of the features on the scanner is that you can power it with the AC adapter or the USB cord. This is helpful for those people on the go that just want to keep up with one power cord. It is also a great feature for people working with this scanner at a desktop. You're computer is always plugged in so you can power the scanner through it's USB connection. You can also adjust the settings by the push of a slider to scan credit cards or business cards so you can keep everything together and stay organized. There are sliders in the middle to adjust do different paper sizes so if you want to scan an envelope, or a picture you don't have to worry if it will come out twisted in the image. These sliders hold the item in place to help keep it straight. One thing I didn't like about this scanner is that there is no where to tell you what the buttons on the top do. I knew because I have an Epson printer with the same buttons. The first button is the power button, then there is what looks like another button, but you can't push it, this one seems to let you know if the document isn't in correctly or something to that effect. The third button is the Cancel button and the fourth is the scan button. Overall this is a great little scanner and one I am happy to have in my electronics line up!

I am not sure if your like me but I tend to get a lot of mail in my mailbox containing things like bills and just useful information about other things. I was the person that always felt the need to hold onto this information in filing cabinets and such, but what this did was cause an overflow of paperwork that I would have to go into and remove every few months. Now that I have this scanner this has solved alot of the headaches I have had about the safe keeping of my documents and also space issues that I was dealing with before. So quick note before I go into further detail on how I actually use this device, the setup was very straightforward and easy to do. The instructions are all laid out and easy to read. One thing to note is that it doesn't come with the latest driver so you will have to download it at some point. Also recommend doing the updates once downloaded so that you can get some of the option software choices that they offer. Not having a driver in the box I feel will be the biggest annoyance with the setup that people may have. As for the size of the device it fits perfectly on my desk and takes up virtually no space at all. This allows me to have a monochrome laser printer and a self contained scanner instead of one giant bulky unit. Now that I had it setup, I started using the scanner software to input my information into my computer. One tip of advice when scanning in your documents have them pre divided up into the groups that you want. When you use the software you will notice that you choose the output of where to put the documents when your done. I have opted for saving all my documents locally on an encrypted drive and also backed up on a flash drive that can be stored in a fireproof safe as well. This gives me double protection of not losing the items that have been scanned so that I can shred the actual paperwork and not have to hold onto it anymore. Now this is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I have to say even though I did a beta test on it I would still be inclined in purchasing another one for my actual office setting as well.

This is a review for the Epson ES-200 Portable Duplex Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I would also like to say that I am a bit technologically challenged when it comes to putting things together and setting up new items!! but this machine really did impress me!! This is so small, weighs only a couple of pounds, works on AC power or a computer's USB 3.0 power (including a powered USB 3.0 hub), and scans business cards, receipts, and documents incredibly fast! The only complaint I have is that I would like the USB cable to be a bit longer, it is only 3 feet so I may end up buying an additional one. But I love that It is so light and portable!! It works with both PCs and Macs, scans two-sided documents in a single pass, and it will auto-feed long, thin grocery-store receipts of varying lengths. This little scanner so perfect !! it will scan (and auto-feed) documents of many widths and weights, and business and plastic cards of different weights (as long as the documents and cards fall within certain specified limits). It did take me a little practice to master the feeder, but document jams are easy to clear. (You turn the power off, pull up a horizontal guide, and lift the document out.) IT was easy to set up ( since I happen to be technologically challenged and even I managed to do it myself!!) You can easily scan to online storage accounts and rid your home or office of so much extra paperwork!! Talk about organizing!!! WOW!! This scanner comes with the same software as some bigger, non-portable Epson scanners. I felt I had to familiarize myself with the User Manual before trying to scan anything. The settings are a little confusing since there are so many choices and it did take me some time a while to figure out how to set the destinations for my scanned files. But as I said, I am not really good with these things.. But I was able to do it!! So if you are a bit knowledgeble about these things it will be a breeze for you! And just remember... be sure to download and install the installation software BEFORE you plug in the scanner! Which is, again.... easy to install!! Now I feel that I can get rid of my big, ugly space using printer with it's built in scanner and get a nice, compact portable printer to go along with my nice, compact portable scanner!! What a pleasure!!! I really am happy with this!!

    Perfect small-form document scanner

My father passed away recently and I was left with mountains of paperwork and files (he kept everything) that I didn't necessarily want to get rid of, but space was a premium. I keep good backups so the option of scanning all of it was attractive, but all I had was a flatbed scanner, meaning it's very high-touch. After researching document scanners, this one looked like it would fit the bill. And it does. It's fast - it seems to have internal memory so it'll keep scanning even if the computer can't keep up with the data it's receiving. It scans both sides of each page at up to 1200dpi. And you can put a pile of pages in it and it'll just scan all of them in order. You do have to kind-of arrange the pages so each page's edge sticks out a little more than the last, but you get the hang of it quickly. This made quick work of the paperwork I was drowning in, and let me get rid of the physical copies and reclaim a lot of space. I use it on a Mac with macOS's built in "Image Capture" app, so I can't speak to the quality of any included software. However it's nice to know it works great with Image Capture, and all the features, even duplex and combining multiple pages into one PDF, are available.

I was looking for a portable scanner that could scan a higher quantity of pages and this one fit the bill. So far, it's been great - I have it packed up with a portable printer, and set up is quick & easy. I have two issues with the scanner, otherwise, I'd give it a "5." The first is the price - $250 is a big price tag for the scanner. The second is it's impossible to get a replacement cord connecting it from the scanner to the computer (I thought I'd lost mine.) I contacted Epson to buy a replacement cord, they referred me to a parts distributor, and the parts distributor said there was no such product as yet. Yikes! This model is not Bluetooth capable, so if you lose the cord, your $250 scanner just became an expensive paper weight.

I bought this little scanner to go paperless at home - and it's very quick! Setup was fast and easy and the size is perfect - doesn't take up much room on my desk at all. Very happy with this purchase! I've already scanned hundreds of pages and haven't had a single jam or mis-feed.

Due to it's small size, it uses a small amount of desk space and the quality of scans is very good. Sometimes I have trouble getting it to feed the paper so you have to make sure it isn't just quickly placed in the scanner rack, but rather, gently push it into the feed area.

I have had this for over 2 years now. Being a mobile loan signing agent this does a good job for what it is. Scans driver licenses with ease. I can use it plugged into laptop to scan documents - just slow. I can plug it into outlet and it scans faster. Very transportable, fits in my notary bag easily.

I purchased this to scan hard copy photos into a slideshow for an event, and after I figured out it could batch process it worked great! 300 photos in less than 1 hour. If using for this purpose, make sure to sort pictures by size, and batch photos of the same size. Wallet versus 4x6' together caused an issue. Overall great quality scan, and very portable! Used with a MacBook PRO.

What a wonderful scanner. Light weight, user friendly. Connects to your phone. Holds up to 100 pages for 1 file. Yes, it doesn’t have a feeder but for me as a Mobile Notary Public that have many occasions to scan back from the spot is very convenient. Love it.

This scanner is the perfect size for traveling which is one of the main reasons I decided to keep it. Easy to transport and store. The software that you download from Epson is not user friendly (especially if you want to OCR your PDFs). But the scanner itself is pretty easy to operate. The card slot does not work well and causes frequent jams.

Only need to scan a few pages at a time? Don't have tons of space for a scanner? This one works great for small businesses and folds down real small. You can put it right in front of your monitor on the desk and it won't get in the way. The scan interface is ready to use as well. Scan, save, attach to email, done.

I purchased this compact scanner because I wanted to get rid of a lot of paperwork from over the years. I have a bigger unit that I used originally to start scanning several years ago with success. But, wanted something to put on the table for daily bills or for instance the end of 2018 stuff. Been using this everyday almost since purchasing it a couple of months ago with wonderful results. I highly advise anyone that wants to rid themselves of paperwork to buy this unit. Its very very easy to use and can scan back and front of page, do more than one page at a time and even photos.
