Great AIO Printer with a small LCD screen

This is my first EPSON printer that I have ever owned out of the other brands I have used throughout the past few decades, upon receiving the printer, it was easy right after opening the box, there is the starter ink cartridges, and then the power cable, manual and the printer it self. Upon inspecting this All in one workforce printer, it was made to be light to move around if needed in a office or home setting, but one underwhelming thing I noticed about it was the LCD screen it very very small, its a tad difficult to see from just 10 foot distance, you have to get close within a few feet just to see if its showing any type of messages that may need your attention.
Overall, I have been using it for a few days now and I am pleased with how the initial set up process went, upon plugging the printer in for the first time, I was instructed to download the Epson Smart Panel app on my phone to make the set up way easier, after downloading the app, I was able to find the printer with no problem, connect to my WIFI and I even did a direct wireless connection from my laptop pc directly to the printer with no problems.
After getting the ink cartridges installed, it took a few minutes to get adjusted to the new cartridges then on the LCD screen, it instructed that it needed to do a print head alignment to make sure anything I print comes out perfect like it should.
Setup was complete and I was ready to go. I started with printing some documents that I needed printed, it printed them pretty quickly, the documents looked great, I then proceeded with trying out the scanner part, when opening the scanner, I noticed the scanner light inside flikers every few seconds, not sure if thats normal or if thats a flaw but overall, it didnt affect the scanning function of the printer, I went ahead and scanned one of the documents I had just printed and within about 10 to 15 seconds, the document had scanned and showed up nicely on my PC.
Now on to the fax part, I need faxing as I need to fax some documents every once in a great while and faxing went as expected with no problems at all.
Pros:
Prints fast
Good quality documents
Setup was a breeze.
Scanning/faxing was flawless.
Cons:
LCD screen too small for the eyes, must get close to it.
Overall, I am very pleased with this Epson AIO Workforce WF-2930 Printer and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one of these down the road. Hopefully if they come out with a newer model, they will make the LCD screen bigger.

Easy setup, full bleed printer

This printer is probably the easiest printer I’ve ever setup, even the unboxing process was simple. After turning the printer on, you have a QR code to scan on the display that prompts you to download the app. I had no issues getting the app to connect to my printer.
The setup is pretty self explanatory, I had one issue where the app timed out when initializing the ink, but other than that, setup was pretty seamless. One thing I found confusing is the location of the paper tray. I spent probably 5 minutes before I realized the paper feed tray was located on the back.
The ink cartridges are a bit small, so I anticipate having to swap them out a few times a year. The first thing I printed was a full sized photo of my cat, and I was stunned to see the photo printed in full bleed (meaning it prints edge to edge with no margin). This is a feature that you can’t usually get with laser printers, or larger ink here, and it’s an amazing feature for printing photos. The details in my picture turned out great, and I imagine glossy paper would make it even better.
The only real con is the size of the printer… it’s pretty large, and I doubt I’ll ever use the scan or fax function. This printer does have double sided printing though, which is a big plus.
In my photo I attached a printed image from the printer of my cat… it looks amazing!

Best printer i have seen in a very long time. I don't know if it's Epson listening to the public but this has got to be the easiest printer i have ever set up,both on my computer and on my cell phone for mobile printing. I had absolutely no problems setting up the printer. From opening up the printer taking out of the box and setting up on both my computer and my cell phone took all of less than 20 minutes. I have never had such an easy time setting up a printer. Normally im banging my head against a wall because i cant get my computer to see the printer or it will see the printer but you can not get it to connect wirelessly without some sort of issue. When setting up the printer it gives you several options for setting up to your PC all the way to setting up to your phone only if you dont want to hook it up for pc use. This was the first time i have hooked a printer up to my phone and it took less than 1 min to set it up. I downloaded the software from the google site installed it on my phone and it took longer to do that then have it connected to my phone. Once i clicked open it had seen the new printer in about 5 seconds i clicked on the printer on my phone and boom that's it. It gives you a plethora of selections for printed to 4x6 glossy paper to printing to standard paper depending on what you are printing. You can tell it to print a 4x6 but let it know its not glossy paper and it will print on the 8 1/2 x 11 paper just as easy. I have got to say this has actually been a joy setting up and using this printer. I had 0 issues setting it upi and you just follow the prompts and make sure you know your username for the ssd selection on your WIFI and your password. As long as you have that information you will be up and running before you know it. The quality of the printer is top notch. It's not flimsy or feel cheap at all. It is made with Epson's quality backing there product as usual. If you want a very good printer easy to set up and get your money worth you cant go wrong with the Epson WF-2930

The Epson WF-2930 is a compact four-function or all-in-one printer designed for home use and ideal for work from home, school work or simple general home or personal use. It is a fairly small measuring roughly 14.5” (width) x 11.5” (length) x 8.5” (height). It is sure to fit in almost any corner you would want to place it.
Being wi-fi enabled, this printer is no longer limited to being near your primary computer and almost every device can print through wi-fi as long as the corresponding app is installed.
Initial setup is a breeze for this printer as once you’ve removed all packaging materials and powered it up, the built-in lcd will present you with a QR code so that you can download the Epson Smart Panel app to your phone. (Of course you can also download and setup the printer via computer too.) Once downloaded all you have to do is follow the instructions given by the app and you’re good to go in about ten minutes.
Using the printer is fairly intuitive, first you have to download the Epson suite from the website to obtain full functionality of the printer. This includes the printer and scanner drivers, fax software, a photo print app and even a limited function OCR. Take note that the complete download is almost 500 MB. But of course, you can also specific modules you need. Unfortunately, Epson’s Windows Store app does not support this printer yet nor does it function properly on Windows 11. There is also the Epson iPrint app for your phone should you need to print from your phone. Unfortunately, I have noticed that the iPhone does not natively support this printer. As such you need to download this app if in case you want mobile printing,
Being a consumer oriented device, it is not surprising that print and capabilities are are on the slow slide. Printing though I can’t find anything in the documentation is as per my estimate at around 8-10 pages per minute. Scanning speeds are moderate which is typical for AIOs in this price range. In spite of that, performance is acceptable. I was no longer able to test the fax capabilities of this AIO for the simple reason that faxing is fairly minimal in today’s non-corporate environment. Nonetheless, this feature is still welcome for small business and home-based businesses.
I like the fact that Epson’s design is extendable meaning you release the paper trays only when you need them and tuck them away when not in use. This way the design is sleek from my perspective.
There is pretty much nothing to dislike about this printer as it simply works and is easy to setup an operate. I would recommend this printer for anybody who wants a functional and budget friendly AIO out there.

This printer is an absolute time saver for anyone. This printer has everything you would ever need for a office. This printer comes with great fully detailed how to to set up so it made it easy. It did take me a few minutes to place the inside because of error on the user. Takes a few minutes to set up with little to no issues depending on how well you are with technology otherwise. Easy to set up with your phone with an app. Perfect for any one who needs to print quickly for any presentations for school or work. The prints are high quality and bright font that gives you work appropriate looking paperwork. This printer is a sleek black color that gives you that professional look. It is a tad bulky but this printer gets all the jobs you want done. Looks professional and will fit in anyones office. Between faxing and copying it is fast and easy. Easy to use buttons to type in numbers for faxing with easy sending with no worrying. I love that you can print dual sided which many printers do not do. You can print wirelessly from your phone or laptop with just a click of a button. Absolutely wonderful printer for anyone!

Great All-in-One Printer for Working from Home

The Epson WORKFORCE WF-2930 AIO PRINTER is a suitable working from home all-in-one printer. Right off the bat installation is pretty easy where you set everything up though the Epson app and just follow the steps through the phone and on the mini screen on the printer. Takes about 5-10 minutes to set everything up. It integrates well with your smartphone in that you can print photos and documents right from you phone which is super convenient in today's world, so your not having to email a picture or document to yourself from your phone to your computer. Connecting your PC to the printer was a breeze, in that all you have to do is download the Epson software from their website and the software will find the printer on your network. Copying documents was super easy in just putting the document on the the tray and it hitting the copy button. My real complaint which made me give it 4 stars is the lack of a USB-B to USB-A cord which does not allow you the ability to scan something directly to your computer. You have to use the app on your phone to scan the document to your phone then save the file and then email that file to yourself in order to get the document on your PC. This is just way too many steps to go through for one of the main selling point features of this printer. Overall this a good all-in-one printer for working from home and will get the job done.

Great compact multifunction - Epic print Quality !

Overall - This is an inexpensive compact unit with all of the functionality you might need at home, working remote
or for general schoolwork. Versus years past, you get incredible printing and scanning quality at a really low price.
Black Printing - Is faster than I expected for an inexpensive multifunction machine. The edges of letters are crisp
on bond grade papers and in a week of sporadic use we have not had any paper jams.
Color printing - Fantastic ! Epson inks are vibrant and deliver bright and crisp results.
I tried a few photo prints on this on photo paper - They are slow to print but the end product is worth the wait.
Scan and copy - One touch scanning and copy works as it should. High resolution scans take time but
the resultant scan is very clean with the expected level of detail.
Pros:
-It does everything - print/scan/copy/fax, I could even send faxes to 1986 if I still had an analog phone line.
-Epson's inks produce stellar results.
-Fast black prints ! Fast copies !
Cons:
Built in screen is tiny and setup and navigation are is clunky.
Standard and 2XL Ink cartridges are expensive. If your main is printing - consider an ecotank unit !

We were just looking for an inexpensive alternative to our dying HP all-in-one printer. We may print ten sheets a month. This has been good for us. The quality of printing is very good. There isn't a paper tray, so you have to load the paper at the back, which seems a little old school, but again, with the amount of printing we do, it's not an issue. The ink cartridges are very small. I expect smaller color cartridges but a double-sized black cartridge. Not so. All are the same small size, so if you print a lot, you might want to look elsewhere.

Living without a printer at home seemed lovely...for a while. But as work has become busier, and I travel around the region more frequently, I recently relented and added an All-In-One (AIO) device to my apartment. I like Epson products for their print AND build quality. The WF-2930 met my expectations in terms of performance, but didn't wow me.
First, the positives. Connecting the device to my WiFi network was super easy with the Epson Smart Panel phone app. It offers control of print, scan, document capture (phone or tablet scanning), copying and maintenance (print head cleaning), among other features. The app allows you to stipulate the type of document/image being scanned or copies and offers relevant setting adjustments for size and quality. Nice. There other settings for printing and copying projects as well. In levels are graphically shown, and of course you can have it notify you of low levels and order refills directly from Epson.
A nice feature was "Guest Connection" allowing you to more easily have a friend print or copy.
Remote internet use of the printer and scanner is possible with the Epson Connect feature.
Mechanically, it's a compact device with trays that pull and tilt-out manually when needed. The touch panel "buttons" feel ok.
Print quality was ok on a relative basis. That is, for the price, quite good, but not the best I've seen.
I didn't like the small size of the screen on the printer, but Epson clearly intends for the user to employ the App instead.
Ink catridges are Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. The manufacturer estimates yield to be approximately 140-150 pages in Color or Black. You can obtain an XL Black cartridge to achieve up to 380 pages.
Overall, it's a good quality printer and scanner that can fit nicely into a small office/home office (SOHO) environment for reliable, decent quality printing.
