I was going to do 4 stars because 5 stars is like a perfect score to me but I can’t really find anything substantially wrong about it. It sounds loud, and no distortion at highest volume. The built in subwoofers on each end are a nice touch but look like a debris trap in the future or that something could damage or puncture them if just thrown around inside a backpack. The rope for you to hang it from a tree branch is great, but not a continuous thread… it’s tied at the end which I found a bit odd. The included aux cable and USB-C cable appear a bit cheap and basic, and no power brick is included. However, all of these things can be overlooked considering the quality and overall solid feel of the speaker. The built-in internal sounds for device connection and powering off/on are pleasant and not cheap sounding like some off-brand units. I can’t find any settings or anything in the manual about adjusting bass or any presets or equalizer adjustments but that’s okay. If you are considering taking a gamble with it, just run it. I got it on sale for $75, but even $99 stated MSRP would have been fine now that I’ve heard it in action. There’s a reason we’re all posting 5 stars. Can’t speak for how long it will last, that’s the only thing. But everything is being made poorly in our economy so I’d be happy to get 3 or 4 years out of it. We’ll see! It sounds really good across the board. I also use Klipsch, Harmon Kardon, JBL, Bose and Ultimate Ears (UE) products. If it’s not as good as those brands it’s a hairline beneath them. No noticeable differences. I actually prefer this speaker over my Bose units because Bose will dampen the volume during higher bass moments in order to avoid distortion. This speaker keeps the same volume throughout, and doesn’t distort. I prefer the clarity and bass of it over my UE Boom 2. It can also be paired with a 2nd Etekcity speaker from what I read in the manual, and thus will automatically make one a Left and one a Right speaker. Very cool and a possible upgrade for me in the future would be a 2nd one of these. 5 stars, thanks for keeping my music experience interesting and alive. Lastly, we have THICK walls in our home. It stretches farther than even our home WiFi router will reach without cutting out. Several times have walked to the other end of the house with phone and music still plays continuously. Just remember to place it in a corner or projecting “outward” if that makes sense. Sound only comes from one side of this speaker, so if it’s facing directly at you or the room then it sounds GREAT and can fill a huge space. But move to the side of it or face it backwards on accident and you feel like the sound is pointing away from you. Not all Bluetooth speakers project 360 sound anyway, in fact most don’t, but thought I would mention because the mesh material of these types of units on the outside really make you think sometimes that the whole entire thing will spit music from every side and orifice. Still a sleeper unit for $99… don’t pay more for name brand! It SLAPS!!!!

This speaker is great! It feels durable and I like that it has a strap on it, making it easier to transport if you need to clip it to the outside of a backpack. It is slightly bigger than my other portable speaker, but I think it is definitely worth it for the sound quality. It was also very easy to pair with my phone. Can't wait to take this on a trip to Vegas in a few weeks!

Got this for $40 to replace a 5 years old Bose SoundLink speaker. Packaging is higher quality. Not as much bass as the Bose but very clear. I listen to music and podcast in a loud environment so I appreciate the extra clarity. Gets louder than the Bose with minimal distortion. Battery life seems to be pretty good but I haven't let it go more than 4 hours off of a charger. I wouldn't spend $100 on this speaker but for $40 I like it. Wish it had an app with equalizer features. JBL clone?

This speaker sound quality is amazing! The volume goes loud enough to entertain outside, and I love that it's waterproof so I don't have to worry about it while in use outside. Unboxing to Bluetooth connection took less than 5 minutes with simple and short instructions. The perfect portable speaker!!

This speaker is good for the price I use it everyday I got it for 70$ and don’t regret it at all

When I first tried it, I didn't seem to like it. I didn't realize it iss directional. Once I set it upright and audio pointed towards me, I was very surprised how good this speaker sounds. Another reviewer said it's as good as or better than name brand. I have to agree. It has an SD card slot as well as a 3.5mm jack with included cable, in addition to Bluetooth. It pairs easily, however, if you switch between devices, it can take a little effort to reconnect to the prior device. You can also pair it with a second etekcity speaker for stereo sound. I am impressed, worth the sale price for around $60; especially considering how it sounds compared to name brands. It's loud, not super loud, and doesn't sound distorted at higher volumes. Pick it up on sale and try for yourself.

Speaker sounds ok. Not good if you play random tracks from the micro sd card. I have over 200 songs on the micro sd card.It plays same tracks over and over.

For the price I bought it for , it’s a really nice speaker. I was hoping for something a bit louder but it does the job. It’s built really well, it’s definitely not cheaply made , I use it for work and I attached a water bottle pouch bag that attaches to my backpack cooler. This speaker fits like a glove!! It’s the perfect size. Now it’s even more convenient to carry around. I use it everyday and like I said , it does the job and serves its purpose, since the speaker on the iPhones are absolute garbage ..

Bought 2 of this. One for friend’s birthday gift and one for myself. Haven’t use it yet. Bought them while they were on sale. I’m enjoying checking my BB app everyday to see what’s on sale.

Much larger than expected. Mid range not very clear. Good price but I return the speaker mainly due to being so big.
