Powerful Suction in an All-in-One Unit

I have tried a couple other robot vacuums, but this one piqued my interest as it includes two things I have been wanting for some time now, a cordless upright and a handheld vacuum. The eufy E20 3-in-1 gives me everything on my list in one neat package, reducing electronic clutter and extra things to charge or plug in.
Packaging
I have to begin by lauding the packaging. As with all Anker products, there is a well-thought-out design to the packaging, as well as large, printed instructions on the box to help unbox the product without struggle or confusion.
Set-Up
The set-up process was easy and straightforward. Simply plug-in the robot, download the app, and connect it to the internet.
Robot
The robot mode works as expected, although its navigation method is somewhat confusing. It cleans well, has no issue going from carpet to tile to rug, and depending on the chosen clean mode and amount of dirt, cleans well.
What is confusing about how it navigates is that, for some reason, it cleans one part of my house and then runs off to a completely different part before returning. The back and forth is confusing and seems like a waste of time and energy for the robot. It clean one area on one side of the house, then goes to a room on the opposite side of the house and just goes back and forth this way.
Nevertheless, it eventually gets the job done before returning home and has never needed to charge mid-session. As I mentioned previously, the cleanliness depends on the amount of dirt present and the mode it is set to. It has four modes of suction: ECO, standard, turbo, and max. When it was on standard it did not pick up everything from my kids’ carpeted room floor, but it did under turbo. It can also be set to do one or two passes of each room, and it makes a map as it goes.
Its map-making capabilities shocked me as it was done so well in a single pass. It’s quite good at discerning what is an object vs what is a wall and laid several room dimensions accurately despite furniture blocking some walls. It even placed lighter colored overlays in what it knows to be furniture. Additionally, the map on the app will show in real-time where the robot currently is cleaning as well as zig-zag lines of how it cleans each room.
It is very communicative and will let us know what it is doing whenever it switches to task.
Its object detection abilities are superb. It will stop just before each object and then proceed to avoid it, even assessing which objects are curved. It hugs my round coffee table perfectly to clean around it as close as possible.
App
The app is simple and streamlined. It allows me to tell it to clean the whole house or just a certain section. The map is customizable, and I can name each room, rearrange boundaries, and add no go-zones. Furthermore, I can also set what kind of carpet the bedrooms have for more accurate cleaning. Under the settings, the voice’s language, gender, and volume can be set. Cleaning history can be viewed along with a map, time frame, and square feet completed. I can set schedules, set do not disturb mode, child lock, and much more.
Vacuum Cleaner Head
This is the main vacuum component, which is essentially a transformer. It includes the suction and dust-collection bin. The cleaner head has a light strip that will show the amount of battery level whenever it is on. One thing to note is that the battery level depends on the suction power mode set. When it is on ECO and standard, the battery will last quite a while. But when it is on turbo or max, it may not last more than 15 minutes.
One annoying feature about the cleaner head is it shoots out a strong stream of air as it cleans. Now, I know all vacuums do this, but I have not encountered another robot that shoots it diagonally up. It gets me in the face when I am around it. Even in handheld mode, I have to be wary of which way I point it. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but it sure is unpleasant. Conversely, one pro about the cleaner head is that the dust bin can be removed to dump out dirt manually, thus extending the life of the disposable dust-collection bag.
Handheld Mode
The handheld mode includes two nozzles. One is housed in the robot itself, while the bigger nozzle, disappointingly, has no home but is the one I use and benefit from most as it has a brush and wide nozzle. I use the handheld constantly to clean up couch messes after my kids eat on the couch, to clean my car, windowsills, and of course to get hard to reach corners.
Stick Vacuum
The stick vacuum is fully capable of thoroughly cleaning my carpet. The height is adjustable, and the machine is so lightweight that I can now even have my little one help with the vacuuming. I do miss having the headlights that usually come in uprights though, but it is understandable that there is no power going down to the brush head to include them. The floor brush head is pretty thin, so it fits perfectly under a lot of furniture that my standard vacuum cannot reach, and the robot is too bulky to go underneath. I will admit, it feels almost toy-like, but so far it has worked just as well as a normal one would, especially using max suction mode.
Docking and Charge
The robot has no problems docking, even though one side of it has less than the recommended 1.6ft of space. It docks repeatedly while cleaning to empty out its bin and does so quickly. It also charges back up fast.
Overall, I am incredibly impressed with the eufy E20. Considering that this product can be detached, removed, and replaced constantly, it is made in such a way that it remains user-friendly and prevents user-error. Notwithstanding it has amazing power and capability to still work as a robot better than the other ones I have. I think this is an innovating product that will change the future of robotic vacuums and is definitely a worthwhile investment.

A true 3-in-1 robot

The Eufy E20 is not the robot vacuum of the past, offering the convenience of removing the vacuum module from the robot to be used as either a handheld or stick vacuum. Boasting 30,000 Pa max of suction power, five stage filtration and fast charging, the Eufy E20 is ready to replace your robot vacuum, your handheld vacuum and your versatile stick vacuum.
The unboxing experience was refined, presenting the instructions for unboxing, setup and installation as the first experience after opening the box of the new E20. In the box there is one of everything that is needed to run the vacuum including a dust bag for the base station, a brush for sweeping debris toward the main roller head, the stick vac attachment, the wedge attachment and the brush attachment. The app was very easy to install and register the vacuum (it tracks run info in the cloud). I was happy to see that the app offers maintenance trackers to remind you when the roller, dust bag and other wear items need to be replaced, but I would have loved to see an extra dust bag in the box as a complimentary replacement (all of my other vacuums came with more than one). Since the unit uses the base station to collect dust in all modes, I could see the bag getting filled more often than a standard robot vacuum. Another part of the setup that needs to be mentioned; that the base station comes with a long cord to connect to a wall outlet, but also comes with a feature in the plastic housing to wrap excess cord out of sight. A very helpful feature considering the length of the cord.
Using the E20 in Robot mode. After setting up the E20 with the app, the app prompted me to run a mapping sequence so the E20 could get acquainted with its surroundings. Moving around my first floor, the E20 robot used its millimeter-level obstacle avoidance through its three laser sensors. The whole process took about 5 minutes and finished by docking itself at the base station and pushing the map of my main level to the app. After naming the rooms I could set vacuum power, define a rectangular zone for cleaning, an individual room or the entire mapped area. I appreciated this flexibility as I could send the robot to clean the area near my cat’s litter box to sweep up instead of making it do the entire room. This is much more clever than most apps, as it allows you program areas to be avoided when doing the set up.
Using the E20 in Handheld mode. There is a large red button on the robot to eject the vacuum from the robot and it can be removed with one hand. There is even a fine-detail wedge attachment built into the robot housing so it is harder to misplace. The handheld mode is where you can achieve the max suction power. There are marketing videos online that show people picking up small laptops and tablets with the suction power, but frankly once an attachment is installed it was hard for me to really notice much of a difference from other hand held-vacs; aside from the amount of suction when nearly covered. The sole user interface is a single “power” button that you have to press and hold to turn on and off, with momentary presses to change power. I find the hold time to be just a little too long, I would have preferred those functions to be flipped since the button is not easy to press accidentally.
Using the E20 in stick vac mode. The E20 being able to be attached to a stick attachment allows for easy touch ups without dispatching the robot to clean automatically. I find that suction is good in this mode and the head could be articulated by twisting the grip just like any other stick vacuum. One thing that was disappointing was that the head of the vacuum did not have a lock into the stick to lock it at 90
degrees for transporting room to room. Most other stick vacs will lock the head if the stick gets pushed all the way forward and it allows for the brushes to be lifted off the ground when pulling the stick back. The E20 does not have this, and I found it disappointing. This would be an easy feature for Eufy to add.
Final Thoughts
I love this robot vac, I've used it every day since I got it. It's especially great to pick up after pets. It runs exceptionally quiet and I can easily watch TV while it is running. The E20 is easily the best robot vac I have ever had the pleasure of using. I wish the stick vac had the locking feature I mentioned, but it is a small inconvenience that is made up by the ease of use in the app.

Neat design, 'almost' there

So I've seen similar ideas in the past, although the ones I've seen with included stick vacs usually have a separate motor for the stick vac. This design is an interesting concept whereas you use the motor from the robot for the stick vac itself. So lets get into it.
Packaging:
Packaging was actually very nice, although it was complicated enough that they felt the need to include instructions on how to unpackage it, so that's interesting. It did not include instructions on how to use the clear hard floor mat, but fortunately since I've had robot vacs in the past, I understood that it's not for the carpet, but a person new to robot vacs may not understand what the purpose is. Eufy also does not currently have the manual available online so there was no further documentation. The only manual included inside the box was a safety manual that just explained not to plug it in to wet areas and to use it inside and such, not very useful for initial setup.
Design:
The motor being used for both the robot and the stick is interesting and I don't "hate" it, but they didn't think it through entirely. Strangely, there is no place to store the stick vac or the small vac brush attachment, but for some reason the narrow nozzle stores on top of the robot vac itself. It's like half thought-out... Very strange, but this also leaves me with needing to find a place to store those items that is convenient enough to be near the base station since I have to use them with the motor from the robot vac, but I don't want to just leave them sitting out. If it could be attached to the side or even collapsed (since it ships collapsed) and attached, that would be far more useful. The idea of the high power vacuum being both on the robot and stick vac is something I like and hopefully translates to very good pickup for the robot itself. I've run it a couple of times and have had no issues with the vacuuming.
As for the base unit, aside from storage concerns, I don't love the replaceable bag inside, it's just one more consumable that I'll have to buy and eventually wont be supported anymore when Eufy stops making this vacuum or ones similar enough to use the same bag.
Use:
The mapping is quick, I hit start and within minutes the areas I intended to use it with were mapped out, the mapping in the app is fairly dynamically updated so it was cool to watch it do its thing. Cleaning is fast and efficient, it hasn't run over anything that it has gotten stuck on, and overall the locational awareness is excellent. The stick vac is nice, though I wouldn't put it on par as some of the more expensive stick vac only brands, but the mobile vac is a nice touch.
Overall:
It's "almost there" the lack of storage for the accessories feels like a rather huge miss, the missing documentation and the need to buy another consumable bag for the base are all not great. But if these things dont bother you, it's actually quite an excellent addition to the rather crowded robot vac market.

Almost a Five Star Vac

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I wanted this vac to replace a relatively new robot vac form an “i” brand that I loved at first and over time have become increasingly frustrated with. I initially gave the 18 month old i-vac 5 stars but I would now give it 2. So far the Eufy E20 is so much better in ways that frustrate me with the i-vac, though it has one flaw so far.
First, I can’t talk about the E20 without mentioning the innovation packed in the box. This is a robot vac that will automatically clean your floors. It will also convert into a handheld and stick vacuum very easily! All you need to do is grab the motor portion of the robot while pushing the red button and you’ve got the base for a stick vac or handheld vac. This offers great versatility and could potentially be a big money saver. The stick and the handheld attachments easily go on and off. Unlike the stick vac I have from the D company, you don’t have to hold the trigger down the entire time you vacuum.
Next are the app features. The Eufy Clean app is extremely easy to use and so far works flawlessly. It maps out the area it cleans very well, much better than the three other brands I’ve used in the past. You can even see where the vacuum is on the app, in real time. Setting up a schedule is very easy. Just select your time and tap each day you want it to run. You can also adjust where the vac cleans, for example, you can send it to clean only a single room if you want. The app uses the map created by the vac to divide the area into rooms, which you can also adjust if you’d like.
So all these great things I have to say but I am only giving four stars? The main reason for this is the suction level on the vac is not quite as good as others I’ve used. I let this vac run four times per week for a week and a half. A couple hours after it had finished its daily vacuuming, I took the motor unit out and attached the stick portion. I then vacuumed the big area rug in the living room. I didn’t get too much in the can so I thought the Eufy was doing a great job. Then my wife grabbed the D stick vac and vacuumed the area rug again. I was surprised how much was still on the carpet. We have a dog and cat that both shed all the time (it seems like) so we need a vac that works really well. On the wood laminate floor (most of the main floor where the vac runs) it does a very good job.
Since then I looked deeper into the app and found settings that increase the suction power of the vac and that has helped. We still need to vacuum the area rug ourselves weekly (or more) just to make sure we get all we can off the rug. My only other gripe is that I wish it had a dust bin in the base instead of a disposable bag. That way I wouldn’t have to spend money on replacement bags and it would be more environmentally friendly.
If you have less shedding (or less/no pets) you will likely be very pleased with this vacuum. It seems very well built and the app integration is great. It does sort of look like the robot is missing its top cover because of the ability to remove the motor portion, but that is very minor. It empties into the dust bag when needed - everything just works. Even if you do have pets, set the vacuum to the highest suction level and use your regular vac once a week on carpet and you’ll be fine. Also don't buy the "i-vac" brand!

Super functional and very versatile vacuum

The eufy E20 is a very versatile vacuum, and I feel like it's a swiss army knife for its versatility. The vacuum is a 3-in-1 wifi connected robot that works very well and does a good job at suction and cleaning. The accompanying eufy app is simple enough to navigate and use, which allows for easy setup and operation of your robot vacuum.
The unique part of this eufy E20 is the built in FlexiONE design which gives you the handle operated style vacuum. Release the handle from the robot vacuum body and quickly attach one of your accessories. In doing so it allows me to clean with a stronger suction while I use a more traditional cordless upright vacuum cleaner. Attach the smaller accessories and I can easily get the small debris on blinds or couch crevices. This multiple use vacuum allows for a complete home clean with one machine. The flexibility it allows for is unmatched because you can do automated cleanings and handheld cleanings with one machine. Overall the robot vacuum seems to operate at a very efficient level. The noise level is quite a bit less than my other robot vacuums I have owned. The robot has nice obstacle avoidance capability and does a good job at dodging loose items that may be on your floor. The eufy E20 also has AeroTurbo five stage filtration to help ensure that the dust and debris are being contained within your vacuum body. The self emptying base is a nice size and fairly compact, which allows for an internal bag to capture the dust and debris from the robot's cleaning. The suction power offers 4 levels of intensity on the robot, controlled through the app. I've been using this for a week and have noticed good consistent suction on each outing and feel like it's doing a good job at keeping my home clean. The mapping on the robot has been pretty accurate and has learned my home space fairly quickly. I have noticed this vacuum tends to be a bit more gentle when approaching walls and corners, and I appreciate that level of detail since it's not hitting them hard or scuffing up its body or the baseboards.
The app tied to this vacuum will require a download to operate the machine. Wifi connectivity will require 2.4GHz wifi, as the 5GHz bandwidth is not compatible with this robot vacuum. The app will guide you on controlling the machine for manual cleaning, or setting it up on a schedule that suits your daily habits. The app is also very nice with an attention to detail that I haven't seen before, because it allows me to see in real time all the places that have been vacuumed so far in that session. It will also allow me to track the location of the robot vacuum on the map so I know which room it is in.
I'm liking the functionality of the vacuum, because there are times when I need all 3 types of vacuums such as stick, handheld, and robot. This one unit gives me all the options I need. I wish there was a way to store the wand and the accessory, but those will need to be placed in a separate location while not in use. Overall a great vacuum that works well in all its forms, and will help me declutter as I get rid of other types of vacuums in my home. The eufy E20 can do all the dry suction cleaning you need.

Innovative and Effective!

Normally I reserve 5-star reviews for products that don’t give me anything serious to complain about. With this new Eufy robot vacuum, I definitely see some areas for improvement, but I’m still giving it 5 stars because it’s blown me away with its innovative design.
Overall, this is a decent robot vacuum. It’s got a lot of power, the brush system is quite effective at picking up debris including hair and sand tracked in on shoes, and it does a thorough job of mapping and cleaning complex floorplans. For me, there are three points where it really shines:
1. The obstacle avoidance technology is top-notch. I no longer have to be vigilant to pick up everything off the floor and tuck wires into their assigned spot. This vacuum is very cautious approaching obstacles and clearly recognizes a stray sock or a garment that fell out of the laundry basket in the bathroom. When it does bump into something, the front bumper usually hits softly and the robot responds appropriately. Amazing!
2. The suction power and brush system do a great job. This is definitely a more powerful than average robot vacuum, and everything seems carefully designed from the digitally-controlled vacuum motor to the brushes mounted on springs with seals that give optimum contact with the floor while providing excellent debris collection. Nothing to complain about here.
3. And the most impressive design feature is the fact that it’s not *just* a robot vacuum. The same high-powered vacuum motor turns into a stick vacuum to get into those nooks and corners where the robot can’t reach. This promises to be the only vacuum I’ll ever need!
And all this at a price point that puts it in the middle of the pack for generic robot vacuums that don’t have these benefits! With that said, the rest of my review touches on some of the downsides. There are a few, but none of them are serious enough to make me stop loving this tool.
As a handheld vac, this is a little bit awkward. It comes with a tiny crevice tool which is so tiny that when it’s mounted on the relatively bulky vacuum motor it’s a little hard to use properly. It has a brush attachment which is a little bit better and doubles as a detail tool when the brush itself is retracted. It also has a floor vacuum which is great for stairs or for rooms where you don’t want the robot to operate. Too bad the pole for the floor attachment isn’t compatible with the crevice tool to make it easier to get into corners.
As with any robot vacuum, the dust bin is not very big—although I’d say it actually seems bigger than others I’ve seen. No matter, because it will auto-empty into the base (which works really well!). The downside, though, is that even the dust bag in the base is not very big. I don’t know how often it will need to be emptied or replaced, but I can see room for improvement here. It could easily be 2-3 times larger, and I would have preferred that.
The first time I ran this robot on my floor, it wanted to map out the space without doing any cleaning. This was no big deal, it didn’t take that long. It did a good job, too, even sort of identifying some separate rooms. But then the first 3 or 4 the robot actually went out to clean, it kept changing its mind about how to divide up and label my space into rooms. Weird! Eventually, I went into the app and divided up the rooms the way I wanted, and gave them labels, and it seems to have stuck since then. A nice bonus is that I can manually add carpets to the map, including how thick they are. The robot will then adjust its cleaning technique to work best on each carpet. I’m not sure exactly what this means, but I can hear the vacuum motor increasing speed when it goes over a carpet.
The vacuum motor has four settings: Eco, Normal, Turbo, and Max. The Max setting seems like it drains the battery *really* fast, and might also be overheating (?). Not sure, but on the Max setting it cut out on me for a second before starting again, a few times. Even so, it seems like most of the time it cleans just fine on the normal setting—and I would guess I’d get over 2 hours of cleaning with the robot out of a single charge while using the normal setting.
Other than occasional rattling, this vacuum is relatively quiet (except for the dust collection at the base). Even though it is relatively heavy, it glides across the floor smoothly (even the uneven wooden floors of my antique home).
Overall, I really like this robot vacuum. It seems thoughtfully designed, the app works well, and I expect that it will perform well for all my vacuuming needs into the future.

Impressive Suction, Adaptability, Small Container

I have always enjoyed trying out new robot vacuums and was really excited to try out the E20 EUFY. This was the first time seeing a 3 in 1 combination that allows for flexibility of whatever the cleaning needs are. Right out of the box I was very impressed with the packaging and easy setup. Like many other robot vacuums its all handled within an app.
The robot itself was very impressive, it has radar and camera sensors that are pretty accurate. It was able to correctly navigate around objects and under tables without getting stuck. The path finder was impressive and the software always optimizes the route so its not going over the same areas multiple times. The base station works great and clearing the contents within the robot. I just wish the container was larger so it could handle larger rooms. Overall I would say this handles small to medium rooms for the most part.
Hand Held Mode - it was pretty easy to pull out the main vacuum within the robot and use it as a hand held. The attachments connect very easily and the suction is great for those hard to reach corner places. It also is a great and easy way for a quick clean or carpet stairs. The battery drain feels the same as it would if using it as a robot cleaner.
Long Neck Vacuum - The roller works well and like the other modes the vacuum suction and battery is great. I found it was easy to clean the roller and turn along corners or wherever it is needed. I was very impressed that the neck extender is reinforced with metal to prevent wear. The only challenge is where to store that long neck attachment as it a clunky item to place .
Cleaning - The robot and the base station are very easy to clean. All the parts are easily accessible with instructions very clear. As mentioned, its a small container so I find myself cleaning it very often. The robot roller and long Neck Roller are easy to wash / clean as well. It is especially handy whenever coming across yarn that may get tangled up in it.
App - The app itself was easy to use , setup and map out. I like that it allows designation of zones and provides a great map out of the room. It provides real time status of cleaning and links to the product page for support. Speaking of the product page, those little replacement bags for the base station are pretty expensive. I personally just reused the one I have by cleaning it out very well on each use.
Overall I was very impressed with this product! I love the concept of have that flexibility however I do with the storage was a little larger to be able to go over larger rooms. I would still recommend this for anyone interested in trying out a robot vacuum!

Eufy keeps innovating with useful products

Summary:
The Eufy E20 3-in-1 is a truly useful product that shows their innovation and practicality. The E20 robot actually does a good job of navigating your room with out getting stuck. I've owned 4 robot vacuums and the E20 so far beats the previous models I've had that always some how continuously tries to go through the wall or just can't navigate around certain chair legs, or getting itself stuck in a corner for hours, only to get notifications that it needs help. When you need to spot clean a small area you don't have to pull out another vacuum, you can just pop off the handheld unit and use the roller attachment. Not having to buy another vacuum or have enough space doesn't need to be a worry anymore. This vacuum is really worth recommending for both automated cleaning and when you need it, manual cleaning.
Setup:
Unpacking the E20 can start to intimidate the non-tech savvy person, but Eufy has a self guided setup for any one that can operate a smart phone. Setup was simple and easy. I'm not sure if you're like most people that do not read the instructions, but I just setup the base station and vacuum intuitively and the voice guided app did the rest. No need to setup another account with Eufy, if you already have their security system your account can migrate over. It couldn't get any simpler than how Eufy has done.
Robot Vac:
The robot vac function flawlessly without getting itself into any issues with mapping and navigating your room and around objects. It might be that Eufy used three sensors (top, front, and side) to be able to get around every corner and navigate around objects, but it's been able to get my top floor cleaner than other robo vacs.
Handheld Vac:
This is what I like most about the E20, that I can have it automatically clean my whole floor while I'm at work, but also use to pick up loose hair or pick up a mess from my kids. I love being able to have this robot do other functions and not having to purchase another piece of cleaning equipment then having to have additional storage space for it when not in use.
I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a robo vac.

I have owned several robotic vacuums over the years from various brands, and the latest addition to my home cleaning scene is the Eufy E20 3-in-1 robotic vacuum. This is the first vacuum I’ve owned with a self-empty station – and I absolutely love it! I literally emptied my previous vacuums 2x a day, so whether that’s because I have a Labrador Retriever and a cat or just carpet that seems to be coming apart – it was annoying and sometime time consuming. Those days are no longer, as this little robot auto-empties a couple times during a cleaning cycle! The base station bags should last 30-60 days depending on how many pets you have and how dirty your floors are. As of yet, I haven't found a good place to buy these bags (they don't appear to be reusable) and Eufy is Out of Stock online. Also haven't determined if other Eufy vacuum model bags are compatible - maybe Eufy could comment on this if they read the review!
OK – setup was a little tricky for me, and I had to take the vacuum and place it literally 3 feet from my Orbi router. Also – I had to enable the IoT network feature on my router to ensure I was getting a 2.4GHz signal vs a 5GHz signal as well. Just know that in advance and make sure you can support both frequencies.
Once connected – it has worked great. It started out by mapping the perimeter of the floor and I’ll admit I’m quite IMPRESSED with the details of the floor plan. Other vacuums gave you a map of the home as well – but none nearly as detailed and complete as this. See the attached photo. After mapping, it did it’s first cleaning cycle with was fun and interesting to watch. Nice straight lines on the carpet is what my wife noticed. I noticed it was significantly quieter (on the standard suction setting – there’s ECO, Standard, Turbo and Maximum).
The 3-in-1 feature is quite handy for quick cleanups using the integrated nozzle right onboard the robot, or using the extendible floor head you can attach to the motor. I find this is perfect for stairs, and I don’t even extend it out as the smaller and more compact size makes cleaning the steps easier and lighter than any vacuum I’ve used before. While using it with the floor head, you can change the suction levels by pressing the power button. Simply hold the power button to turn it on/off as needed.
Yup – quite impressed with this little vacuum and it and won the coveted primary robotic vacuum spot on my main floor. Nice job Anker!

Robot Vacuum Amazing - Stick Vacuum Not As Good

The Eufy Robot Vacuum 3-in-1 E20 Innovative Multi Function Design is a bit hard to describe because I love part of it and hate the other part. The APP makes it so easy to start before you even get out of bed in the mornings. It is easy to set up and no need to measure rooms because it does that for you. The Robot itself does a great job. It vacuums until the container is full, then it goes and empties it. Once it is emptied it begins vacuuming again.
The battery charges itself in its “home” deck. The robot will tell you when the battery is getting low and it will go back (home) to the charging station and start charging by itself. It talks loud enough that I can hear and understand it very well. It is actually fun to watch it do its thing. It comes with a plastic piece that sits on the floor called a deck assist mat that helps the robot get into the perfect position. I have zero complaints with the robot. I had to make sure the shoes were not just sitting where the robot could grab the strings but that is about it. It is fairly quiet and does not bother either the dog or cat.
The stick vacuum and handheld vacuum does not have much sucking power. They are cheaply made and I do not like either of them. They come with three attachments. The box says they are for spot and stair cleaning but they just don’t have the power to suck up dirt or pet hair off the carpet.
I do love that robot though. It cleans very well and does everything by itself. I do not know how long the dust bag will last as I have only had it a few days. It only comes with one dust bag.

Nice Combo Robot Vacuum

Having owned a few robot vacuums i found this ones unique 3 n 1 features to be pretty beneficial.
The ability to be able to handvacuum from the compenents of the robot vacuum is a neat feature. If I notice anything on the stairs i can quickly pull this out and get to the steps easily.
Pros
3-in-1 is a pretty nice (robot vacuum, handheld vacuum and stick vacuum)
easy to use app to map the floors and setup vacuum features
app has pretty good features cleaning times, zones and maps etc
the unit does feel like it has pretty good suction overall which is nice in these sorts of vacuums
Cons
these are probably more personal gripes than actual issues but
the Stick vac doesnt stand up on its own,
the base station doesnt have any accessory holders for the additional accessories, leaving you to store the remaining items that makes this a 3in1...
Overall, I would start off that its a good idea vacuum, it does function decently and i really don't have too many complaints. The suction power is adequate and the ability to pull the base apart and turn it into a stick or hand vacuum makes this a much more appealing unit. The battery life on the unit is also pretty good. I would recommend checking this out if you are in the hunt for a multi functional vacuum.

You have to SUCK to be great.

I really wanted to like this but the suction isn’t great. It uses a separate app than the Eufy app. No place on the unit to hold the stand alone vacuum or its extra parts, comes with only 1 bag and no extra dirt collection bags offered, like other vacuums I’ve had in past.
One of the first things I noticed upon opening the unit was that there were no places to hook or attach the hand held part or extra accessories. Why are brands still doing this. We don’t want the extra bits and bobs just laying on the floor or thrown into the back of the closet.
The suction sucks. Now I wanted to like this tons. But you need to suck to be great. And this left areas still in shambles. Ok it wasn’t that bad, but yes it did leave tons of things on the rugs. On the bare floors it did just fine. This was a huge disappointment for me. You have one job. So that’s why it lost 2 stars.
Because I didn’t experience great suction in robot mode, I didn’t expect much when I used it manually. But it did a good job. When using it manually obviously we can go over an area multiple times but when it’s mapping your area on the robot it misses key spots to go over again.
You will have an upfront cost almost immediately because the dust collection bag isn’t huge and they don’t include extras in the box. Maybe I’m just vacuum spoiled, but I’ve had a couple new vacuums throughout the years and they each came with atleast a 3 pack of vacuum bags to hold you over. It’s the experience you want when you purchase something new. Well this unit only comes with the one they supply in the dust collection part. No bueno. These small bags fill up in no time.
Ok now for a personal grief. We have many Eufy products, that use the same 1 app, so we expected and were excited to add the vacuum to the fold. We didn’t expect for it to use a whole different app. I understand that it’s a whole different framework, but I have other brands that have security, appliances, switches, etc. on one app. So it’s possible to merge all your offerings on one app. We are always trying to reduce the amount of apps we use daily, not adding more.
The positives. Well it’s not loud when in vacuum is going. The hand held portion is lightweight. It’s good for low traffic areas.
It is seemingly quiet while in robot mode. I wasn’t distracted by loud noise while operating until it returned to base to self clean. But that is to be expected if you’ve had other robot vacuums that self clean. So no points deducted there.
The handheld portion is not too heavy. Seems to be made completely of plastic. So if you have wrist issues or can’t hold heavy vacuums when cleaning, this is good.
For us, this unit will be best suited for our low traffic areas and so this will be used in the lower portion of our home. Because it would drive me crazy having to vacuum behind a vacuum on our main level.
I’m totally impressed with Eufy as a brand when it comes to cameras and security, but for me this particular vacuum missed the mark. I would go for a more powerful unit if they have one. It’s a great concept though. I do like the idea of 3 in 1. It’s great for people with very limited space, who rather not have multiple vacuums.

Awesome product. For a first time owner of a robot vacuum this one is amazing and will definitely recommend. Might I forget that this is a 3in1 which makes is more flexible. With the handheld that came with it I even use this for my car. Two thumbs up for this product!

Nice device, easy to setup right out of the box, does a good job keeping loose dirt from remaining on our floors. We havent tried it on carpet yet, but hard flooring seems to work good.

Works great but the robot needs better suction. The stick vacuum suction is excellent. Also you can't use the stick vacuum and the robot at the same time which is also a letdown. Other than those 2 issues it's a solid vacuum

It's a robot... it's a stick vac... it's both, and a hand vac, too! I have to admit I was surprised when I saw Eufy's E20 revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year. I hadn't considered it might be possible to combine a robot and a handheld/stick vac into one chassis, and I couldn't wait to try it for myself.
I've been using robot vacuums for years, most from the well-known brand that created the category. As a cat owner, I've found robovacs essential for keeping cat hair and cat litter in check. I run my robot vacuum almost every day and it makes a huge difference. I also appreciate knowing the robot cleans all the corners and underneath furniture so I don't have to wonder when the last time I vacuumed beneath the sofa was.
The Eufy E20 arrived tightly packed in a solid cardboard box, with no styrofoam but a fair amount of plastic wrap and padding. Everything was well-packaged but easily retrieved, and Eufy included a variety of (removable) reference labels to assist with setup and first use.
Setup is as easy as plugging in the base and placing the docked vacuum pod/robot unit onto the charging contacts. Eufy's included "docking assist" pad is a nice touch for those with carpet, but I have the base on hard flooring and have had no trouble at all with the unit docking and charging. Speaking of charging, Eufy's advertised quick-charge feature is a nice touch, getting the battery back to full in a noticeably short amount of time, not that I've been able to fully drain it cleaning my modest apartment.
The Eufy Clean app was similarly easy to get going. It found the E20 right away and connected everything on the first try. The app is key for tweaking the E20's settings and mapping in robot mode, and allows you to connect the unit to Google, Alexa and Siri Shortcuts for voice control. I've been using the E20 primarily with Google and found it responsive to start/stop and return to dock commands, although overall control seems limited to these basic instructions.
This is my first robovac with laser navigation, as opposed to the camera-based navigation of the brand I'm most familiar with, so I was excited to send the Eufy on a mapping mission and see how it did. After charging to 100% I sent the E20 on a "quick mapping" run and was delighted to see the robot creating a map in real-time on the app. As the E20 moved through a room I could see walls and other boundaries leap into existence with remarkable accuracy. The robot sought out the edges of each room, pausing periodically to scan its surroundings with the top-mounted LiDAR sensor. After the quick mapping session concluded I was able to draw boundaries and label rooms and in less than an hour I went from delivery to cleaning-ready with minimal effort.
With mapping complete I sent the E20 out to clean for the first time. At the default suction level the machine is tolerably quiet, enough to easily work or watch TV without struggling to hear. My previous robot vacuum, although powerful, was loud enough that I only ran it when not at home.
What most impressed me watching the E20 clean is how methodical and gentle it is. The LiDAR navigation system is a clear upgrade over the camera/bump and reverse system of my last robovac, both in speed and accuracy. The E20 quickly finds the edges of a room, cleans all around them, and then methodically sweeps back-and-forth across the entire room before moving to the next one. Instead of ramming into table legs and door jambs the E20 scoots right up to them and moves around them, only gently tapping them from time to time. Even with a camera and mapping abilities my previous robovac preferred to ram each and every obstacle before turning or reversing, and my furniture and baseboards have the marks to prove it.
I've found the E20 able to clean my 650-ish square foot apartment in just under an hour when left to its own devices, which is very similar to the speed of my previous robovac. After cleaning the E20 easily returns home, backs up to the dock and auto-empties its dust bin, then turns around and docks for good to charge. With frequent vacuuming I've never had the dust bin fill completely, and the auto-empty feature seems to get the vast majority of the dirt out. I appreciate the "deep" dust collection option for more thorough cleaning, and the overall auto-empty noise on either setting is not objectionable, though certainly noticeable.
The E20 would be pretty satisfying if this was the end of the review, but with the push of a big red button it transforms into a hand vac and a stick vac, so there's more to say. Docking and undocking the suction unit is quick and easy, and the included tools cover most typical use cases. As a hand vac the E20 is very lightweight and maneuverable with either the crevice tool or multi-tool attached. And you'll need to attach tools each time you undock, as the inlet of the suction unit is shaped in such a way that it's useless without a tool attached.
There are four suction levels available in both hand vac and stick vac modes, and I've found level 2 (standard) to be fine, but level 3 offers noticeably better suction with only a bit more noise and still plenty of battery life. As with most battery-powered vacuums the E20 relies on its attachments to dislodge and direct dirt toward the suction inlet, and this is especially true in stick vac mode, where the spinning brushroll has to catch debris and fling it toward the tube. There's not a lot of "raw" suction power, even on level 4/max mode, so temper your expectations here. That said, the stick vac attachment has a nice telescoping metal wand and quiet, useful powered floor head, and the multi-tool is surprisingly adept even on fabric.
I found myself surprised by the effectiveness of this robotic vacuum's handheld and stick vac modes, and the E20's small size lends it well to quick cleanups and tight spaces. That being said, I would be hard-pressed to recommend this machine as your only vacuum, especially in larger spaces or with pets. The E20 includes only three tools, and while they cover most bases, you'll quickly tire of trying to clean an entire sofa with the multi-tool or reach far-away corners with the short crevice tool. Moderate suction aside, I two main issues with the E20's accessory design. First and foremost, the handheld tools only attach directly to the suction unit, and the floor tool attaches only to the base of the wand. You cannot put either hand tool on the wand, nor can you attach the floor tool directly to the suction unit. This is unlike pretty much any other cordless machine, where the tools are designed to universally attach and interchange with each other. It's particularly frustrating that you cannot attach the hand tools to the telescoping wand, as this really limits your reach with the machine. I'm also sure folks with carpeted stairs would have appreciated the ability to connect the powered floor head directly to the suction unit.
My second issue with the E20's attachments is storage, or rather, lack thereof. While the crevice tool interestingly slots into the robot body, the multi-tool and wand/floor nozzle have no in-built storage methods of any kind. It seems to me Eufy could have easily included clips on either side of the base unit for these attachments to slot into, even if that meant making the compact base unit just a bit larger. A visit to Eufy's website shows an optional wall mount bracket included with some purchases, and at least one tech website mentioned this being available for purchase separately at some point. I'll likely invest in the bracket if/when it becomes available -- I'm already tired of looking at the attachments leaning against the wall -- but for the price I really think Eufy should include a bracket with every purchase, or have designed a simple way to store the attachments on the auto-empty base.
Overall, the Eufy E20 is a very good robot vacuum with the added bonus of being a useful hand vac and stick vac. I am really impressed Eufy managed to design a suction unit that fits within a typical robot base but, at the push of a button, becomes a small cordless handheld with a decent selection of tools. In robot mode the E20 impresses with its mapping and maneuverability; in handheld and stick vac modes it does a very decent job, but it's hampered by small, non-interchangeable tools that (save for the crevice tool) have nowhere to go unless you find and purchase the separate wall bracket. All told, this is a very good robovac that offers you a bonus hand/stick vac, but I wouldn't recommend it be your only vacuum unless you're in a very small space that doesn't get very dirty. What a neat idea the E20 is, and I have a feeling the next generation of this new product category might really make you sit up and take notice. Let's hope Eufy (and others) keep developing what might someday become the only vacuum system you need.
