I hate to be so harsh, the camera and monitor are great when it works. Problem is we have constant connection issues. The connection is fine when in "range", but we have found the range to be so short, it's basically unusable. We own our own house, and when placing the camera upstairs, the monitor loses connection when we are down stairs and one room over. We tried trouble shooting and will keep doing so, but the range isn't acceptable.

The eufy Spaceview is a no frills, easy to use, quick to setup baby monitor that is perfect for anyone looking for a camera that "just works." It has some downfalls, but overall, it's a solid performer. Setup is a literal "plug and play" situation; the monitor comes pre-synced to the camera, so powering both on is all that's required to get up and running. They've included some mounting hardware that can be mounted in a couple of ways (though not too common, I wish they would've included tripod threading on the bottom of the cam to increase potential mounting options). That's it; there's not much else to it, which is a good thing because it just works like it's supposed to (which is more than I can say for some of the alternatives from Motorola, for instance). The monitor works incredibly well from a functionality standpoint. There is zero lag (which again is present in many of the alternatives) and the settings are straight forward and easy to use. The powered camera is a nice touch as well; this lets you rotate the camera to get a different look at the environment. I probably won't use it much, but if I ever need to, it'll be great to have. There are a couple of downsides here. First, they're using a micro USB connector for power. Being 2021 at this point, that's fairly inexcusable in my opinion. USB C is much more convenient and should've been used here, but in reality, it's mostly just an issue for the monitor since the camera will be plugged in and left alone. Another issue is the picture quality. It's merely ok, but comparing this to modern cameras like a Nest, it seems quite dated. Additionally, the field of view on the camera is quite narrow, so while the camera is powered so you can adjust the angle with ease, you're well served to mount the camera with some distance from the crib. Finally, there's a light on the camera which I wasn't able to find an off switch for; since this is a baby monitor, this should be a setting so you can turn this light off if desired. Finally, there really aren't many extras here. One feature that's feature is a remote viewing protocol, so you're locked in to using the monitor only. eufy says this is done in the interest of security, so it's a valid trade off, but one worth mentioning for those expecting to use their phones to view the camera. Overall, this is a solid unit. It's very easy to use, and the monitor works very well. You won't get great picture quality, but it's likely a tradeoff given "closed circuit" nature of this unit, which has an incredibly solid range. It doesn't contain any extra frills (like remote viewing) but it does its job exactly as you expect it to. If you're looking for a straight forward and easy to use monitor, this is an incredibly solid option.

Great HD baby monitor, long range & battery life

The Eufy Spaceview Pro is an excellent baby monitor offering bright HD video, a pan & tilt camera, true whole house wireless connection, long battery life, and an easy to use interface. The kit comes with 1 wireless camera and 1 monitor, but you’re able to add up to 3 more cameras for a total of 4 per monitor. However, with a wide view and the ability to remotely pan 330° and tilt 110°, 1 camera can cover a whole room pretty well. It also offers a fairly clear 1.5x and 2x zoom with a dedicated zoom button on the monitor to quickly get a close up of what’s going on. The live stream keeps up well with a sharp HD picture and only about a ¼ second of a delay (like an echo), so you know what you're seeing is actually happening now. In terms or range, I’ve tried using the monitor from the furthest point away in the house from the camera and it was still able to maintain a strong connection. This is in a 2 level SFH, so I don’t know how well it’ll do going through multiple levels, but it’s been reliable around the whole house for us. The fit and finish are high quality, but what I like best about this baby monitor is how responsive and well thought out it feels. The menu system is snappy, easy to read, and makes enough sense that you can figure everything out without having to read the manual. There’s settings for 3 different time alarms, adjustable audio alerts, 5 different lullaby tunes, night vision, and of course pan and tilt for the camera. There’s no touchscreen here, but we never know when our hands are going to get messy anymore, so we prefer buttons anyway. There’s dedicated buttons for zoom, volume, power, menu, mic/speaking, and a directional pad. They’re all clearly labeled with nice and clicky tactile feedback that offers a high quality touch. There isn’t much to figure out here, which I think is key for every new parent as there’s already enough to take care of. Overall, it’s an excellent baby monitor, but there’s one issue I have that should be a pretty easy fix. There’s a room temperature gauge displayed on the monitor, and there’s supposed to be a way to program room temperature alerts, but I can’t find it anywhere. I think the Pro is Eufy’s newest model so hopefully they’ll put out a firmware update to fix that soon. Outside of that, the Eufy Spaceview Pro is a well designed baby monitor with a bright and sharp HD picture that does just about everything well. Highly recommended! PROS - Bright and sharp HD picture - Low latency live stream - Responsive remote camera controls - Long range wireless connection - 36 hour monitor battery life - Adjustable sound alerts - Good audio quality on mic and camera - Snappy controls - Easy to use and figure out - Excellent fit and finish - Compact CONS - Missing room temperature alarm setting

I was under the impression I would have an app and monitor connected camera, solely based off the eufy name. Unfortunately this is only monitor connected, which might be nice for some. The clarity was alright, but I prefer the Hubble camera so ultimately returned the device

Stopped working after few weeks of use, just past return date at best buy. Manufacturer required us to update the software prior to sending a new one out. Updating the software was confusing and time consuming especially for sleep deprived parents of a newborn. Dont buy.

As nice as it would be to have this baby cam connected to our phones, the disconnection from the internet entirely is really nice for our piece of mind. We need to carry around the monitor gadget but that's not a huge deal. It's the same thing everyone has been doing with baby monitors (before cameras) forever now. Setup was a piece of cake. The monitor and camera were already paired so I just charged up the monitor as recommended and was ready to go. Hanging this camera on the wall was quite simple as well. It comes with drywall anchors if you need them and the plate just screws into the wall and the camera attaches to it. I attached mine to the wall but the way the anchor plate is shapes leads me to believe you can mount this in the corner and have the camera hanging upside down on the mount plate but don't quote me on that one. Setting on the monitor are pretty limited in a good way. There's not a whole lot you need to do so it's nice that it "just works". You can adjust some of the settings like how long the screen stays awake but I think that was one of the only things my wife really cared to change (she wanted the screen to always stay on). Default settings work pretty well but there are a few options you may want to play around with. Functionally, we continue the "just works" aspects of this camera and monitor. The monitor sleeps with the press of a button (or a timer if you have that option still enabled) and wakes up with the same press and does so quickly. Moving the camera around is as simple as pressing the arrow keys. I wish this was a little more responsive. It seems like you need to hold the button for a fraction of a second and then the camera jumps a bit more than I wanted but I also think I got used to the delay pretty quick. Picture quality is pretty good for a 720p camera. I wish we'd have a higher resolution for this price point seeing as it's 2021 and cameras (1080p cameras) are everywhere now so I don't image it would have added too much to the cost but it's good enough and doesn't NEED to be much better for what it's used for. It just would be nice. I don't have any issues seeing the baby and that's all you really need. The sound on the monitor is fine too. The sensitivity of the camera is good enough. Our home isn't crazy big so we can hear the baby from the bedroom if she really starts crying but the monitor will pick up if she's having a little talk with herself or something. You can also choose between 5 different lullaby tracks (or play them all randomly) for 30 minutes. And if you want to talk to you baby, there's a speaker on the camera where you can talk to from the monitor. Overall, this is my second baby monitor camera and I like this one better than the first one. The screen looks good. The functions are simple and "just work" out of the box. It doesn't blow me away with anything but I'm also not unhappy about anything really either (the bump to 1080p, again, would just be nice but isn't necessary). If this is in your budget and you're looking for something that just works with little fuss, you might want to look at this camera.
