I recently rediscovered the joy of building your own PC. I purchased my first 960 back in September of last year before I knew much about good configuration options, as in, a single 970 instead of dual 960s, etc. There are plenty of opinions around the web on the 960, but I found this one at a good price, and dual 960s beats a single 970 on FireStrike and does all the gaming I want at 1080p. The money I spent on the first 960 was long forgotten, and I didn't want the hassle of selling it, so I purchased this second 960 to fill out my system. Say what you will about the 960 being under-powered but it serves my needs perfectly, and I like EVGA design and packaging. I can play Wolfenstein New Order on High settings at 1080p and I get 60 FPS. Just Cause 3 would almost get 60 FPS, but with VSYNC on, it throttled down to 30 FPS, but the experience was perfect. Best Buy had what I wanted in stock and for a great price.

Great Budget-ish Video Card

I realize that in today's world there are plenty of less expensive video cards and frankly, I made the mistake of buying some in the past based on the guy at a computer-electronics store telling me that I didn't need anything more powerful based on what I'm doing with my PC. Truly I would have been better just spending the money on a better single card vs. 2 cheaper cards. Additionally, he just made me reluctant to ever buy the brand or chip type again. Not wanting this to be an x vs. y rant, I don't think I want to get into specifics "asus hd7760", I digress. So I wanted a few specific features and benefits and basically got there with the Nvidia GTX 960 and up. A local best buy had them on sale and I went and bought one.
I had just put together a dual xeon workstation multiple monitor setup and needed something better the the old cards and this installed easy, setup was easier and the performance is truly fantastic for what it is.
I am not a gamer, but rather a person that is always on the net, using work programs and anything else for that matter.
Overall, very happy with the purchase.

I upgraded from a 750Ti to this 960 FTW, and what an improvement it is. Sure it only has 2gb of VRAM, but this FTW edition is insanely overclocked and can run any game I throw at it. In the description it says that it runs at 1304MHz, but mine runs at 1443MHz straight out of the box, and the temps are low enough where there's still room for some overclocking of my own. I'm running games like Dying Light, MGS V, SW Battlefront and Fallout 4 at High to Ultra settings and getting 60+ FPS at 1080p.
Now keep in mind that this GPU is not really made for 1440 or 4k. If you want to play games at 1440 or 4k, you're going to need a 970 or a 980ti.
But if you just want to play some solid 1080p gaming, then this is deffinately the card for you. And for around $200, you honestly can't find a better mid-range card.

If you want to run maxed out 1080p gaming, this is the card for you. If you are wanting to do max 4k gaming, or VR, this card IS NOT for you. Great price, runs cool, very quiet.

This card is outstanding. My GTX 560ti fried and needed something that day, so I went in to grab something.
I decided on this instead of a 970 because I'd save a little over $100. I now realize that for my gaming and design needs, the 970 would be complete overkill.
I do work in Photoshop, illustrator, video editing, and gaming. I've maxed out nearly every game I play with 80-100+fps. I don't own many AAA games that have came out this year, however.
And this thing is QUIET. The cooler on this card is awesome. Doesn't even kick on until it's needed. Read that again. I'm not kidding, it doesn't even turn the fan on until a certain threshold is reached. To be safe, I turn mine on to around 40% and it keeps my temps under 60c at load.
My specs for my pc:
i7 4770k
16GB ram
This GTX 960
Corsair 750w modular psu
4tb bulk storage
128gb Samsung pro ssd.

My new PC needed a video card better than the stock AMD R7 250 card. This card had a significant performance boost from the AMD card according to the online benchmarks that I found.
Installation was easy and it even works with my stock 350 watt power supply (box calls for a minimum 400 watt PS).
It's run flawlessly and I'm able to run Battlefield 4 at 1920x1080 with all features on at a fairly good frame rate.

I started playing Fallout 4 with my old graphics card and quickly realized I needed a new one. This is exactly what I required to play on ultra quality, and Best Buy's website even had it 30% cheaper than anyone else. Easy to install, cheap, and an absolute beast. I'd recommend this to anyone.

I know this card isn't top of the line right now, but I am very satisfied. It's quieter, cooler, and runs on less power than my previous 760. A whole 100 watts less. The card is slightly more compact as well.
The only issue I had installing on Windows 10 was that if I manually installed the drivers, my nvidia control panel stopped working. If i uninstalled and let windows install, it worked fine. Also, I kept getting incompatibility with update 361 even thought my pc is current.

Card runs anything i throw out with ease. Runs GTA 5 on max around 40 fps 1080p which isn't bad at all. I do have an I7 processor though. Video card is a tad bit big but i still managed to fit it into my dell xps 8700 with ease. Great job nvidia, just hope it last long.
Also the card is virtually silent. Even running gta with it i barely hear the fan which is a HUGE plus.

The video card work stellar does every thing that the GTX 960 stated on the box and does lots more. the Clock speed is under rated by the details on the package. the software that came with the gtx960 and has the be downloaded off the internet really makes the NVidia card shine. the overclocking works off power target right out of the box. no need for adjustment. the video card boost clock and than over clocks even more, automatically like a automatic gear box in a Car. I've seen speed up to 1569 clock speed in benchmark valley and 40 Fps on extreme HD preset. and seen over 120 fps with out AA and couldn't tell the difference. which was included on a driver CD in the box. but still this video card is meant for people that want to stay at 1080P

For a casual gamer like me this card has plenty of horsepower to run the games I play in 1080p. The card is fast enough for constant gameplay and has zero bottle necks, even on my older system. Compared to my GTX 660 SLI this is an upgrade and I have seen significant FPS increases in all games so far. Witcher 3 looks awesome with this card. EVGA has the best customer service, which played a huge factor in determining that I buy this card. Go for it!

For the price this is an amazing video card.
Easy to install.
You would need to make sure your computer has enough power (watts) to handle this card. It comes with all the cables you need.
The only thing I should've done was spent a little more and get the 4gb, as it would've been even better.

I bought this video card to allow a 4K Samsung 40" TV to be used as my computer monitor. I was amazed at the clarity I could achieve as well as over my TV resolution options, I could not be happier. Now my internet videos are amazing, Netflix is WOW and no motion blur and the video card puts the sound thru my TV (HDMI) and I can clear my desk of speakers!. Truly I can have 4 monitor 24" views on this one at a time plus I kept my 24 inch as the second screen and works seamlessly on Windows 7 and Windows 10 ( I upgraded after this purchase, made it even better ). One video and 4 internet screens with no issues. The salesman said this was the best bang for the buck and he was totally right.
Bought a ASUS ac-3100 router which has really ramped up my internet experience. Even with the kids playing streaming PS4 and the other one the computer games, and the wife on the Tablet watching another Netflix stream this new setup sees no lag or stuttering.
A+ to the guys at Best Buy!!

Has no trouble playing the latest games with high settings in 1080p. Some you can even play ultra on depending on the game. Stays incredibly cool and uses very little power thanks to the maxwell architecture. HDMI 2.0 is also a plus.

I have a standard HP Envy 700 PC Series desktop and it has a cheap 460W PSU. I am not so into performance that I wanted to replace my PSU in order to get a high end graphics card but I also wanted to be enjoy my MOBAs and Blizzard titles. This graphics card met all of those requirements in that it doesn't require more than a 400W power supply and can be found on sale (just price match) frequently. Be warned, the EVGA card is huge and I didn't have the foresight to take measurements although it just barely fits in my case. If you want to future proof your system though it's best to look at a Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or higher although you're looking at a significant increase in cost (imo).

I was looking for a replacement graphics card for my old GeForce 550 that I've had for several years, but I also didn't want to spend $500+ for a graphics card. I found the GeForce GTX 960 and I was not dissapointed in the performance of the card. Everything looked sharper, no lag in displaying images, motion, etc.
There is one thing to be aware of and that is this card is extremely long. Make sure that the case that you're going to put it in is big enough! I have MS-7737 Big Bang-XPower II motherboard and the case is a Cooler Master HAF X case and the card just did fit. This case is huge.

I upgraded from a gtx660ti to this card. The bench marks weren't a huge difference but there is a noticible difference when gaming. Runs quieter and cooler than the 660. You can't go wrong with evga and nvidia
