Background: I was looking for an upgrade to my middle age desktop PC. I built this PC in 2014. i7-4790k, 16GB DDR3, Gigabyte GA-Z97X-UD3H-BK motherboard, Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB Windforce GPU. Had no real issues with this system. It was just time to upgrade the GPU. The EVGA RTX 1070 XC has greatly improved both quality and performance in games that my GTX 770 could not quite handle. The RTX 1070 also has far better cooling. It is silent in my setup. I also opted to take advantage of EVGAs extended warranty(requires registration and purchase on EVGAs website). I've had very good experiences with EVGAs warranty process in the past, so this was a no-brainer for me. I am happy to answer any questions if you leave a comment below.

This card has been pretty good so far. I know there are people who have issues with the micron versions of these but if you manage to bin a samsung card you'll be solid. Great performance in all games, oc is easy, rgb software is pretty 50/50 but I dont use it all that much anyway. A little disappointed that I didnt get the free advertised game, the code I was given was invalid and when I tried contacting support I never got a response, thanks nvidia. Aside from that the card runs well.

I have a good build and amd ryzen 2700 and this singe rtx 2070 I game a bit not much does games well. I mine GRIN it does 10% less hash then the gtx 1080ti I own but it uses 25% less power. So It earns a bit of coin while I amnestying not gaming and games okay. I got a good price for it. It is a nice upgrade if you have a gtx 1070 or a gtx 1070ti

Upgraded to EVGA RTX 2070 from a Gtx 1070. Really easy to install took maybe 15-20 minutes and saw a decent improvement In FPS so far.

This card paired with my CPU makes everything look crystal on my monitor. I can run games I love at max settings 100+ FPS no prob.

Was a fan of this 2070, runs great and has the same capabilities of a 2080.

Super easy install and decent software for it. Currently running Metro Exodus with RTX settings on and full ultra graphics and running at a steady 90fps.

I bought this card recently, but I am considering returning it to Best Buy. The card works well hardware wise, once I got it installed and working. Its does hold 2560 X 1440 resolution with a great frame rate in Fallout 4 with everything set to ULTRA. The card doesn't even seem to stress at that resolution. I haven't tested it with other games yet. However, I recently found out after buying the card that the Precision X1 app used to control overclocking, fan profiles, and the RGB LED on the card only runs on Windows 8/10. The card "says" its supported by Windows 7 64 bit on the box and the EVGA website, but you really can't take advantage of all the features of this card unless you are running Windows 8/10 and can use Precision X1. I went back to the EVGA website to make sure I'm not crazy, but I can't find anything that really calls this out unless you go to the actual download page for Precision X1. If you are already running your gaming rig on Windows 10, I would say go for it. But if you are still on Windows 7 for gaming, I give the card 3 stars because although it works well, it doesn't deliver all the features and tweaking fun under Windows 7 without Precision X1 installed. I'm also giving it 3 stars because the card just came with a install pamphlet that has basic information. There is no manual or documentation except for this small pamphlet with basic info.

i bought this card two months ago on sale for 478$ , it cam with the young blood wolfesiten game to download, i was not able to get it what so ever, very upset, feels like i have been taking for granted!

Video card is great. If the free game was good I would exchange it for the same card.
