I'm certain now that my old video card was going, so I decided to get something that would perform better and last longer, so I upgraded to this one, and it's fantastic. Everything's running at maximum settings, ultra high graphics quality, and flawlessly. No lag or ghosting or crashing or anything. And I managed to install it myself with absolutely no issue.

Well I had a GTX 970 and it ran great until I went to best buy and upgraded my monitor to the WQHD Lenovo, so I bought this card and its handled everything I have thrown at it at 2560x1440 res plus it runs very cool. I have a In-WIN 303 which isn't the best for cooling and this card gets to max 68c with stock fan profiles. again this card is a great value.

I purchased a 2k 144hz Gsync monitor at a good price and wanted to get a card that could take full advantage of it. The 1060 did a pretty good job maintaining 70-80 fps on most games at high settings, but I wanted more. Caught this 1080 on sale for under $500 ($469) and pulled the trigger. Right now I am averaging 115-120 fps with games on high to ultra settings. The card runs cool (around 55c) and with Gsync the graphics are buttery smooth.
My current setup is this:
NZXT Phantom 630 case
Asus Sabretooth z77 MOBO
Intel I7 3770k
32 GB DDR3 Ram
Corsair 850w PSU
Sandisk 480gb plus ssd
WD Black 1tb HDD

The card was awesome. But I did not receive my Destiny 2 code. It has now been days and still nothing.
I put this issue up on the forums and was told in a post on the forums to contact a certain moderator. I did this and heard nothing back. I reposted i had heard nothing and they deleted that post and I got a private message to me saying it would take up to 10 days for anyone to help me. The card is awesome. The customer service is horrible.
I will not buy from Best Buy again. If I had bought this online else where I would have the promo.

Well - where do I start.
Had a forced upgrade when my evga 980 stopped working, but evga was willing to RMA it and replace it, but in the meantime purchased this card.
My monitor can now be super sampled and it doubled my resolution virtually to give me so much more desktop space.
All games run better
The card came with a free copy of Destiny 2!!!
Also evga has a step up program where for 90 days you can get the 1080 ti if you pay the difference between the best buy price and retail of the better evga card - you just have to make sure and register with evga within 14 days.
Great product and service from evga and best buy!

I recently had a gtx960 on my custom pc. I couldnt play certain games at even high settings. Now with my gtx1080 I could play any AAA rated game on ultra settings and get 60+fps with no issues. I may have to buy another and SLI them. Love this card. The LED lighting on it is a nice touch as well.

I bought this to replace an older 780 Ti. Wanted it to be capable of running VR games. It does that.
I did manage a decent overclock, but it is not like the performance cards available on online vendors. This has one power plug, which means it will be limited on extreme power demands. Bugs me that it costs the same as the high end cards, but doesn't have the added benefits.

Great Card and Manufacturer

So this card in general is great for playing most if not all AAA titles.
A reason I'd buy this card over another manufacturer is that EVGA is AMAZING with warranties, and will sometimes even help you outside of the warranty period. They support overclocking and will not void your warranty for doing so. They support water cooling and other custom cooling solutions. Modifying the cooler will NOT void your warranty.
Are you sold?

At the time this was and still is imo a good video card or gpu for the money, it’s also well built and runs cool and quiet plus the evga warranty is good for peace of mind.

I am a flight simmer and when I upgraded my dual AMD cards where only one of the cards was recognized limiting me to 4GB of video memory to this card with 8GB on one card, the difference in frame rates tripled. That is what I bought it for and it delivered as advertised. No complaints.

This card crunched folding@home (to find a cure for COVID), and has played super-demanding games at 60=fps on ultra settings. It overclocked like a champ, but has now been relegated to yomen duty solely as a cruncher in my backup build, in order to make way for my new 2080ti.

Nearly the top of the line. Prices inflated due to crypto-mining, which I don't do. Outstanding performance and with a G-Sync monitor, is like a hot knife through warm butter. Can't make it choke, but I'm not a super-gamer. Just nice to not have any lag, no matter what the load (thus far).

Evga 1080 is a must who`s on a budget but want a 4K experience. While on some games you might have to crank down the settings. The 1080 will hang with the best. This also don`t mean anything if you don`t have the hardware for the 1080 to go to work with. The 1080 needs a good motherboard, a good CPU and ram as well, and a 4K monitor or TV. I recommend for the MB a Z370, for the CPU Intel Core I5 8600K or the Intel Core I7 8700K , Ram DDR4 2400Mhz or 3200 Mhz and watch how the 1080 show it`s.... Well you get picture.

Solid Build quality. Easy Install for both hardware and software (drivers). Installed in an Asus Maximus IX Hero system board. Works well with my Oculus Rift games.
