I purchased this card to build my gaming PC. This 980 Ti is currently handling The Division on Ultra settings without an issue. It is fairly quiet and looks good in my case. I know the next generations of video cards are fast approaching but this card can handle the current games with ease.

...and I am very pleased. I have two & I am running them in SLI. To say a little more they are 99% silent & perform as advertised. Had to save up $ but I am very excited and pleased with the performance. This card is said to run & have better specs then the Titan X. Must say the Titan X does have 12GB VRAM. I will update this review in time.

    Fast, but faulty

I purchased this card on 7/16/15. Now that I've put it to use with some graphic intensive games (DOOM, Dark Souls 3, Fallout 4) I've noticed some issues. ---TEMPERATURE--- I found that my card crashes once it reaches 66°C. For those unaware: NVIDIA's official specs state that you can operate this card at a max safe temperature of 92°C. I downloaded software to make a more aggressive fan curve in hopes I could keep it cool without dampening visual quality. It still crashed, and only bought a few more minutes in game before my computer would shut off. I had to enable GPU throttling at 65°C with an aggressive fan curve to stop it from crashing. ---FAN NOISE--- Even though my card is in the heart of a pure steel, and sound dampened case, the fans get really loud. Starting at ~50% fan speed, the noise no longer blends into the background, and anything above 80% makes it difficult to converse using my microphone. ---SPEED--- This baby can get really fast before it starts throttling. Games that use a lower amount of VRAM (ie: CS:GO) can stay cool consistently. I can max the settings and pump out 300fps@1440p for hours; however, other games only run for a few minutes before throttling. ---CONCLUSION--- This is a powerful card, with a great manufacturer (EVGA). Had I received the non-faulty card I was expecting, I'm sure my review would've been only of admiration. There would've been no issues with capability, temperature, or even the noise this card creates. The noise is only an issue because I have to max the fan speed starting at 60°C, when your standard 980ti won't max it's fans until 85°C by default. With the settings I'm forced to run with...I would've been better off purchasing a card for $250 and saving over $400. ---RECOMMENDATIONS--- To anyone who is planning on purchasing this product, or has purchased it recently: I recommend stress testing it after your drivers are up to date. If you confirm it's faulty, take the proper steps to return the item. Most of you won't be able to reach the temperature where things start going haywire without overclocking. If that person is you, just know I'm super jealous. Cheers.

Not much to say about this. It's a badass card that can assure 60 FPS on 1440p Ultra settings on all games.

This is a very powerful graphics card. As it should be, based on how expensive it is. It handles 4k gaming on it's own at medium to high settings. The 6GB of memory is cool for higher texture packs at sub-4k resolutions, but at 4k the processing power of the card will bottleneck you before the memory will.

I upgraded to the 980 TI from two 660 TIs in SLI because the VRAM of the 660s was becoming too little. While expensive, the 980 TI has been a great addition to my PC. Rise of the Tomb Raider runs easily at 60FPS with everything maxed in 1080p, and the awesome details in The Division's NYC are shown off at every turn.

This replaced my r9 290 crossfire setup. It wasnt pushing 4k as well as I had hoped so my plan is to get two of these 980ti's. One down! And the single card itself is as fast as 2 r9 290's. Temps are good - but I was hoping for better with the backplate. im still seeing high 70's under load.
