I recently bought this dehydrator and was undecided if to buy this Excalibur brand that supposed to be the best. Nesco, a more affordable version, was less than half the price. After reading some reviews I decided to invest in this product due to not wanting to have to buy another one a few years later, as the motor runs for over 12 hours on end, depending on what you want to dehydrate. The dehydrator comes with mesh screens which was a good surprise as I did not read this was included. Nice food dryer, does what I expect it to do. Lots of trays give me ample room, and it dries very evenly. Love the variable heat settings! Nice looking, and doesn't take up too much room either. Recommended! Overall, I am pleased with the product.

This Excalibur dehydrator has exceeded my expectations. It makes great organic, "less sweet" fruit rollups and dehydrates cooked broccoli to a crunchy treat. It does make more noise than a fan so make sure to put it away from your bedroom if you will be running it overnight. Make sure to buy the Paraflexx sheets sold separately if you intend to make rollups. The recipe book is very helpful and quite extensive. I'm delighted with it and wish I had purchased this dehydrator sooner.

Item worked well but needed to run at the max. Hours suggested to totally dry product. Fan is a little too noisy too.
