good series hard to find but found them here at Best Buy

I love dystopian survival stories, and this show offers it up in spades. In short, aliens have invaded earth, destroyed most of the military, occupied the largest cities, and are capturing kids and attaching control harnesses to them. I like that the show starts off several months after the invasion, focusing on the struggle of the survivors. This is the story of a small group of military and civilians, who've come together as the 2nd Mass. Tom Mason (Noah Wyle) is the father of 3 sons, one of whom has been harnessed. And I love the fact that he is a warrior and historian - he constantly compares the desperate situations the group faces to real examples from our history. The show focuses on not only his struggle to survive but to keep his family together. The hard choices that need to be made, how desperate situations can turn the best of man, I love Sci-Fi that makes you think. What would you do to survive?

I bought this to rewatch and own the first season. Nowhere could I find if this particular set came with a Digital Copy (UltraViolet). I was so very pleased to open the package and find a Digital Copy (UltraViolet) redemption code. I started downloading immediately, and put the first disc in my machine, and let the journey begin. I convinced a friend to watch the first episode, and we ended up watching them all together. Good Purchase, Good Times. As for the story, well: aliens, guns, interpersonal drama, intrigue, hope and sorrow, romance, and aliens. The aliens deserved another mention, there are different types of aliens, and you will see the different roles they each serve.

I already had a Blu-ray set of the first season, but loaned it to a friend who never gave it back! Now it is on sale, I had to replace my copy. I like this show – Is not a typical alien attack in the earth movies or TV show like others. The shows begin by letting us see what people who either survive or trying to survive the aftermath. The children were kidnapped and were forced to become slaves and the adults (the parents) struggle to rescue them. There are moments of white knuckles so I watched an episode and give myself a little break before the next one. There are some very likable characters – and there are some not so nice ones. I think the script is very good and the acting is great because it seems so believable. I am enjoying this show again!

DVD is quick to load with minimal disclaimer pre-load time. Behind the scenes were fair at best but not having to worry about commercials for things I will never buy, it didn't matter. Definitely worth the price and looks and sounds great with a home-theatre set up. You can't beat Best Buy's price either! And no,..I do not work for Best Buy!

Pretty darn good sci fi tv show especially with whats already out there. Reminiscent of the show V for me. Acting is ok but the plot and action are very well done. Id definitely recommend this to anyone who is a fan of sci fi and alien apocalypse events!!!

"Falling Skies" is definitely a sci-fi worth watching. From the minds of Mr. Spielberg and starring Noah Wyle, the alien invasion series was a fun ride from the beginning. The special effects weren't as great in the middle episodes, but still good for cable.

I believe this series has some good reviews. However, it reminds me of the pace of the Walking Dead series - the only way you can create some excitement is by deliberately creating it and creating a new peril. I guess I am the sort of person that likes to have some excitement and unexpected twists here and there in some shows and not a long storyline development or obvious attempts to create tension or peril. It's too "soap-opera" for me as you watch people live each day. The threat is the same - aliens. If it were the first show of it's kind, it might be different for me. I'm sure many will like it because they like this type of story development. Special effects are okay and average.

We got into this series because my husband decided to try watching it. I wasn't too sure about it, but it's nice to see something a little different from the typical shows on TV. We got it at a good price...I just wish the season was a little longer! It seems to go by too quickly.

Do I really need to say more about this extremely well acted series, this is one of the most well produced SciFi series out there, good acting and it's visual scope is bigger than most TV shows.

I missed the first 3 seasons and bought this on faith. Sure glad I did. It's a great series and not to be missed. If you haven't seen season 1 it's important you start here as each episode plays off the previous ones.

the series has a very good collection of actors. the filming also makes you feel like you're involved in the action. it is very fast paced. they did a very good job of location selections to make it look very realistic

Keeps you hooked and eager for the next episode. It is a sci-fi based series so don't expect the graphics to be spot on but highly recommend it.

This show is pretty out there, but in a good way. My boyfriend loves this sci-fi stuff. It's actually pretty good. I could see myself continuing to watch it with him.

This is a amazing show that really catalogs the struggle after an alien invasion. The show has memorable characters and stories. Very dynamic cast. If you havent seen it yet you must own this.

This was on sale, had not seen it in a while, and it has been added to my library. It has been fun to watch these episodes again!

This is a good Sci-fi TV Series. It has a good plot and some great characters. Also, it continues to surprise you each season.

I really like this series for the original storyline and great special effects. Really has a feature film feel to it.
