Power Armor Helmet is amazing!!!

I bought this collectors edition for the helmet with no intention of playing the game. Too many other great games out right now and Fallout 76 itself looks very mediocre.
The helmet itself is amazing, huge and fully wearable with an adjustable frame inside like you would see on a construction hard hat. The plastic used for the eyes are a bit foggy, so hardcore users may want to replace that with something else. It is sturdy and well built but still light enough to be comfortable. It also has a cloth transition around the neck to help conceal any skin. The moving eye piece feels a bit flimsy so be careful with that.
The map board and figurines are nothing special, just plastic army men type figurines. Bag is OK but I probably won’t use it.
Not sure where I am going to stick that amazing helmet though it is almost too large.
Took a star off because the game is lackluster and BestBuy shipped the entire thing in its retail box and it got all wet and dirty due to snow and bad weather. I probably won’t keep the massive box but would’ve been mad if I wanted to. I would only recommend this to hardcore fallout fans who want the toy and already have Pip Boy, lunch box, mini Nuke etc.

This game has flaws, most fallout games do, it's not ok for Bethesda to do what they did and not give customers a Canvas bag instead a Nylon bag, they've really lost trust of their fans, and the "compensation" is beyond insulting since it's only 500 in game credits which don't even give you much of a choice in purchase options.
All that aside, as a game, this game does not make completing quests easy due to bugs, there are no NPCs who deliver decent dialog, only robots who act as vendors and trading is very poor, the only thing that does bring a smile and the only reason i'm giving this game 4 stars is because i enjoy gunplay no matter how laggy it can be, i enjoy building, and i enjoy meeting other players and them being very kind and trying to find some optimism in this game.
The helmet is nice, very hard to see through but i like it as a decorative piece, the map barely glows in the dark, the little pieces that come in the baggy although cheap, are nice to have around my desk at work, the infamous nylon bag that you get and not the canvas bag, does what it does, it's a bag, i was never gonna use it for anything serious...
Don't get the Tricentennial, or collectors edition UNLESS all you want is the helmet. The bonus skins you get in game are not worth an extra 20 USD.
I really wish i had more friends who played this, but sadly nobody wants to touch this game due to the controversy, maybe wait a month or two before getting a copy for any patches.

Not fun for the solo RPG gamer

I'm a big fan of the Fallout and Elder Scrolls RPGs that Bethesda previously published. When this game was announced at E3, I was pretty apprehensive but figured that if the solo play was like they described it would be ok.
I received my B.E.T.A code for the PC version and then waited. I had preloaded and when the day came that the PC servers went live, well I couldn't play. The preload had been deleted by their launcher and was downloading at a measly 2mb/sec. I should have cancelled my preorder then, but darn it I wanted that power helmet.
Day 2 of PC BETA, I did finally login and went through the character creation hoops. Very little was customizable, but off I want into the WV wasteland. And after about three boring hours I turned it off. This continued for the next two rounds of the BETA availability and I was really close to cancelling but again I wanted that helmet.
So the day before my copy was ready for pickup, they release the digital download version. I didn't think much of it at the time until I picked up my copy. Got home and took stuff out of box. Opened up the second steelbook (BB gave me one with my box) to find a digital code not a physical DVD. Really?? So I had to wait to get a code they could have emailed me when they released early?
Anyway I fired up and played for another two hours until I built a camp (complete with turrets) only to be overrun by Protectrons. I rage quitted and have not logged in since.
I hope that Bethesda will listen to fans this time. Minor bugs are one thing but this thing shipped as a broken mess with too many problems to list. To call this an RPG is an insult to good RPGs.
I would not recommend anyone buy this for the full price. Oh wait they already cut the price a week after launch. Thanks Bethesda.

The game is not bad, but it might not be the fallout you know and love. As for the contents of the box, the little army men are cool, the helmut is wonderful, I wouldn't be able to make something like this of my own, but it is a little too plasticky? But the bag is certainly not the bag that is pictured. It's nylon, and not canvas. So be aware.

Helmet is better made than most of the collectables generally included in these collections. Nice map. Terrible game. Would have been a GREAT single player game but they left out the NPC's and bogged you down with requirements such as CONSTANTLY needing to find food, water, meds...what was an optional play style in other games. And to make matters worse frustrated PVP players find the need to grief other players that just want to do quests (most of which are poorly set up). Nothing like someone jumping in front of you while crafting or throwing grenades at you when you ignore their antics. So if it's just about the game take a pass on this. If you just want the collectables...go for it.

The game itself has it's problems. But this edition has it's problems too. The canvas bag isnt canvas it's made of nylon. ... I was pretty saddened by this. For the price you would hope you would get what you pay for. But ... sigh. There ain't a physical game disc. Theres no soundtrack theres a cool map and nice mini figures. The helmet itself is ok. The harness inside is not so great. But the outside piece is pretty cool. Not really something to cosplay in. But a good display piece.

The collectors items: Everything in the collection is pretty nice, except the bag is not what was originally promised. It's nylon instead of canvas and much smaller than originally shown.
The game: It's not your typical Fallout game. It would be better to compare it to a game like 7 Days to Die, survival crafting game. There are no friendly NPC's except for some robot vendors. Quests come from items that you find along the way, holotapes, etc. Some local group events will spawn randomly in certain areas and occasionally you will see other players. I'm not sure how many will spawn on a single map, but I've seen maybe 20. There is base building, but you can move your base across the map to new locations as you scout your way across the wasteland (for some caps). It's starts out a little dull, but over time I have grown to enjoy it. Once you get over the shock that it's a not quite a Fallout game, but still a Fallout game it's actually fun. Bethesda promises future updates, so we will see what the future brings.

First game is buggy but hopefully will get better, true Fallout fans will grow to like it. The helmet that comes with this bundle is pretty cool. The helmet bag is a joke, rest of the items are what ever. Its Fallout but different, Ill still play it for a while.

I had really high hopes for this game, but it was very disappointing. The game was super glitchy. It came with a nylon bag instead of a canvas bag. The helmet voice changer did not work, and you cannot see out of it. If you are a Fallout fan, it's worth trying if you see the game on sale, but do not pay retail price.

I bought this as a christmas gift for my wife because she loves Fallout, but this game is a joke. It's not fun to play, the devs don't care about the players, and it's just a horrible experience. The only good thing about this version is the wearable helmet that came with it. Everything else was lies, like the canvas bag that wasn't made of canvas but rather some vinyl crap. Bethesda is going down in flames. They are a shallow shell of what they used to be.

Unfortunately, the latest Fallout game, Fallout 76, is not a good game. On top of that, this premium edition did not include what was shown. The bag in this set looked like a canvas bag and what was included was not. It was made of a cheaper material. Totally unacceptable and disappointing from Bethesda, who put profit over creating a good game and premium edition.

The last two games I've got the special editions and I wont again they lied about the bag you get to hold the helmet. It was supposed to be canvass, but its nylon. The one I got from best buy there were batteries in it already really badly beaten up ones. It came with new ones too. I don't know why it had battieries in it, but they are same brand and the ones that were prepackaged in the box.

The product listed is not what is sent. The bag is a nylon bag instead of the promised canvas and the game is not that good. It is pretty but is also pretty darn bad. It's a jack of all trades and doesn't even come close to competent in any of it. I wish this was different and I don't think they'll ever be able to fix.

The game was released clearly unfinished and conceptually flawed. I've been a Fallout special edition collector since F3. Sad to see the promise of a delightful canvas bag versus the crushed thin nylon bag they included. Sadder still has been the communication and poor response to the community of loyal fans Bethesda has essentially grifted in this roll out. Hard to imagine being a day one buyer or even interested in a new Bethesda game again. You have lost karma!
