Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with Fallout 76's gameplay, open world, and action-packed features, citing the beautiful scenery and many areas to explore. However, some players have reported issues with bugs, server stability, and occasional lag. The lack of a compelling storyline was also a common criticism. While many found the price reasonable, the game's technical issues remain a point of concern for some.

Well it finally goes online. So is it good or bad. Right when the game came out it was bad. But after several updates the game is good but not great especially if your a die hard fallout fan. I like it way better playing with ur friends then playing solo. Plus I caught it on sale for 5.99 plus got a blu-ray Steelcase case with it. So its worth getting the bestbuy app so you can check the deals. FALLOUT 76 7.4 OUT OF 10 BEST BUY APP 9.5 OUT OF 10

The game is fun, but it DEFINITELY has its bugs and glitches. With the additional content since launch added for free, the "main storyline" is now extensive, there's significant endgame for both PvE players and crafters/builders alike. And between collectibles, daily quests/challenges, and multiple currency systems, there's always something to do. But...expect glitches, expect crashes, and expect quest-ending bugs. At least once an hour. The game is not the train wreck everyone says it is, but there's a LOT of smoke pouring out of the engine.

There are not many games I deeply dislike, but this is one of them. Bethesda Game Studios's first multiplayer was a complete disaster. Which is really sad because I do love there single player games. This game just had too many technical & graphical errors to be enjoyable. Avoid at all cost and look for another game.

Being an avid gamer and proponent of the Fallout series going back to Fallout 2, Fallout 76 is a great addition to the series, and adds the spice of immersive multiplayer to the radiated wastelands of West Virginia in 2101, 25 years after the bombs fell. So far, haven't had any major glitches and the multiplayer system is smooth. You can choose to play single player or team up with other humans (You can also choose to fight them). Interesting world to explore with some hard enemies to fight. VATS system has been updated and you must fight enemies in real-time (no pausing, which I somewhat miss :)) Crafting and building has been streamlined with a portable CAMP system and crafting tables everywhere. While there is plenty to read for the story, my one qualm is that they need to have more roleplaying and interaction options with NPCs, or perhaps this is coming later in the game. So far it's just been robots.

I was really excited for this game. I preordered it and came home to play the beta over the weekend. They shut the beta down but still allowed me to purchase it including the code. Okay a bit miffed but okay.. Game comes out with a huge update. Okay so we wait. Finally get to play... Aaaannnndddd it’s lag city. I have to aim at least a half inch to the right to hit anything accurately. I thought maybe the guns were faulty since they were so low leveled. I’m level 18 now still having the same issue. Getting kicked off the server multiple times makes it really tough to keep interested. I played 4 hours last night...Didn’t see another human player the entire time. The map is so vast but there’s nothing in it. They charge sooo much to fast travel and caps are few and far between. But who wants to wonder around the wilderness of WV by themselves with no other means of transportation but your feet? Meh the stash only holds 400 which is totally insane. I have to keep purging items that I want because I’m too heavy and my box is full. I understand this is their first online game, but they really needed to take a page out of Red Dead or GTA5’s books and learn something. Also the game is so dark. I find myself getting attacked by things with no clue where they are because it’s so dark. You just gotta run and hope for the best. The story line feels secondary to just grinding through loooking for items and food. It’s very monotonous. Overall. I’m not too happy. I wish it was as good as it could have been.

Fallout 76 is an incredible game. There where and still are some glitches that show up. Most of them are just funny and give you something to laugh at. The gameplay is enjoyable. I will write a list for the biggest pros and cons PROS: Immersive co-op play: Play with your friends! It's how it's meant to be played! Diverse enemy and weapon selection Graphics are better than ever Progression now feels more important than ever Overall enjoyable game CONS: Very dull when solo, and very challenging Glitches occur sometimes Carry weight is very stressful. One of the biggest downsides No new Hairstyles If you get stuck with radiation and no radaways, you are finished. Hope this helps!

I LOVE this game and you should too... but I can see why you don't like it but I will make an attempt to tell you why. First of all I have played hundreds of hours of the Franchise over the past 10 years or so. Fallout3, NV3 (twice), F4. Who cannot love the franchise? So far I've played about 55 hours. Most of it was solo and about 8 hours in group. I LOVE that there aren't NPC's and I honestly don't think that takes away from the game. The basis of the game and many probably didn't even read the Vault76 first quest on the PC that literally tells you as the player that all humanity as they know it is dead and the folks in Vault76 are the best of the bunch and need to go out and re-establish humanity. The game lives up to that. I haven't met one live 'intelligent' human being. The scorched I wouldn't consider human but human-like. I really enjoy the quest/mission part of it and there are plenty that come up from seemingly random places that I couldn't care less where they came from and this was mostly solo. Without doing a lot of the main story line quest I can see where the power-players would find a lack of depth. There were deeper story lines in previous fallouts to some degree but I read most of the notes and computer terminal stories, it's fascinating and sad because you really feel a sense of horror and sadness for those that experienced the nuclear holocaust. To me they really achieved that sense of destruction and seemingly lack of life but that's not totally true which I'll tell you about in a bit. The time I spend with co-op was a total blast and romping through the wasteland with a pal or two or three is absolutely fantastic. There are really amazing things that happen and random things and encounters that are totally spontaneous and that's not even with the player base. If you ever played the series and ever wondered what it was like to play fallout with your buddies, I truly believe this is it. As it stands right now without any future content this is awesome stuff. Fallout has always been cheesy and the fighting is cheesy which is what I loved about the game. As far as PVP? It's a thrill to me. Wanted tags are great, free hunting but hunter beware. You can claim resource sights and I although I haven't been raided from players I hear they do come about in attempting to take it from you but you will need resources to build defenses and you also need to find/buy plans for better stuff which in and of itself is a great mechanic..but that takes time and the base needs to grow which it will. This is pre-patch which is bringing faction PVP and other things. There's nothing more fun than going through the wasteland and coming up on an abandoned factory or temple or town and it's overrrun with baddies. Super fun. All in all I think they nailed what they intended to do. Their focus seemed to be on a cohesive multiplayer experience, the communication, consistency in connection with players and interacting with them is awesome and mostly flawless. They also focused on a larger picture experience which they can flesh out easily over time like most MMO's.I look forward to just playing/living in the wasteland. This is primarily a survival MMO. You have to watch your resources, your health and keep weapons/armor repaired and balance inventory. At first it is a pain and never seems to end but as you gain levels and spec in certain perks that all becomes minimal really. It's easy to get diseases and all kinds of other affects that have a real affect on your experience WHICH I LOVE about this game. The Perk system is really amazing. It's the most fleshed out of them all and it was another big focus that paid attention to and you can see it. I can't wait to flesh out my character and the levels go pretty high. People talk about the game feeling empty but it is and it isn't and that depends on where you are. There are times when I am walking through the and it's pretty quiet and nothing going on even coming up on a small town but sure enough just when I think it's empty something happens and I find myself trying to stay alive and not lose my stuff. It's designed to be a wasteland. They also say there are bugs and this is true. I do get disconnected once every few hours, there are visual glitches and AI glitches which is why I didn't give this 5 stars. This is a game that will just get better and better so wait it out or come on down. Always something to strive for and stay alive!

This is a good game. They did make it more challenging as in how much you can carry. The only down fall it is still super glitching. At least once a day I get kicked off. I can only hope the game gets better from the updates. Nice graphics and good music. As I said the game is a bit more challenging which might either keep you in your toes or might cause major frustration.

Another classic “was bad at launch but they fixed it within a few years” type scenario. I don’t think we’ll ever get another Fallout set in the southeast, and for that reason I’ll always have a soft spot for this one.

Im a pretty huge fallout fan so this game didnt disappoint too much as other people say. Its just regular fallout but with multiplayer and if you play with friends its 100% much better. The fun cancels out the bugs and errors atleast for me. You just need to try it out for yourself, people are too harsh with games now a days.

I’ve never really played MMO’s but I don’t think falls under MMO as player interaction is sparse. Game is fairly difficult starting and recycles a lot of old Fallout content that doesn’t gel (Far Harbor content) but also introduces new enemies. Story seems a little lacking (again I’m not very far in) but so far seems ok.

Very slow to start, but the general overall feel of the game reminds me of Fallout 3. I did not play it before the Wastelanders patch, so anything prior to that I am unsure of. NPCs are amusing, enemies are abundant. Not very far into game but will update eventually.

Can’t stress my summary title enough. I’m a fallout fan so consider my bias, but I love this game and haven’t stopped playing it since the beta. It’s been the only game I’ve played lately and it actually pulled me away from Red Dead 2. This game is heavy on survival mechanics. I never played any previous fallout games at the survival difficulty but this game plays very similar to it from what I can tell. You need to steadily eat and drink, and everything has a weight except notes (for the most part). There ARE NPCs, contrary to what’s been said, they’re just non-human. I’m currently level 65 and don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. Plenty to do and plenty of better gear and weapons to get your hands on. Besides, I always wanted to take the fallout 4 base mechanic and build with friends. You can do that now. Aw yis

    F76 review

F76 has certainly had a rocky road but the current state of the game is much better than when it first launched. I play it very often still to this day and love it. There really aren't any online games just like it that give you the ability to build and mod so many weapons, build and mod so much various types of different armor, build and decorate your base with a lot of objects, farm food/water/junk/ and other important resources used in crafting and repairing and cooking at your camp. It's fun to craft chems like stimpacks for health or radaway to remove radiation. The game has constant updates and events with other people in the West Virginia setting after a nuclear fallout. There are hourly events, daily events, daily ops, and nuke drops when someone with a. Nuke code decides to nuke the wasteland which is usually in the cranberry bog or at the mine up north for two big events with strong bosses and great loot. The storyline is so much fun. I've started over many times because I like the lore so much. You can have up to like 5 characters I think to customize each one for a different build. They have so many items you can craft and so many food/drink options you can cook and eat/drink, so many perk cards and now legendary perk cards to customize your character to your play style, and a huge community to game with. Not to mention now there are NPCs like fallout 4, and there's more updates coming. The atomic store and fallout first membership are the pay to play portions of the game and honestlyi love that 12.99 monthly membership. It makes the game so much better. And as a member you get 1650 atoms a month for shopping for decor, skins, and other things in the fallout atomic shop. There's seasonal events annually with really cool loot like decor and weapons and mods and other various plans and recipes for cooking. And a seasonal scoreboard to work on your progress and meet goals for great rewards. It's a fun game and I really recommend it for anyone who wants a survival game that certainly won't kill you when you don't eat or drink or sleep enough. You also don't get server wiped here. You build a base work on your character take a break for a year come back and continue where you left off. Servers have like 25 ish players I think and fallout first subscribers have the option to be in private worlds which is nice for farming stuff and then public worlds is great for events with lots of people. It's pretty chill compared to games like ark and Conan exiles. Hope I've convinced a few of you to try it out and love it. Prepare to spend time every day doing dailies, farming, cooking, repairing, a daily ops or three, once you are at level 50 and finish the main storyline and side quests.

I have loved the Fallout series since I played Fallout 2 on PC about 20 years ago. I really liked it when they remade the series it into a FPS with Fallout 3. At first, when they announced this game I wasn't too thrilled with it being online multi-player. Since it's release, they've honed the game via updates and now I'm pretty happy with it. Only problem is that you get shutdown occasionally when they do server maintenance. If that happens, just get to a safe place and log out, then log back in to get moved to a different server. Fun game and (at the time I purchased this) Best Buy included the steel book case for free.
