I am disappointed at the Fanstell caller ID I purchased because it does not work. I have a caller ID service from my phone provider, but the Fanstell does not seem to recognize the service.

The item itself was great but the display right in the center was not visible, the LED did not work. I tried to return it the next day at my local Best Buy and because I purchased it online, it was not in their system yet. I had to wait 2 days before trying again. That time, I had only the packing slip and not the emailed receipt, so they could not return it again. Luckily, there was a kiosk in the store and I was able to print a receipt myself. So, I went back to Customer Service, stood in line again and then they were able to return it for me. I do not know why they could not access the receipt.

I bought this for mother who has a large table top phone without caller id. It was frustrating to get calls without a voice on the other end or a solicitation call. Now she can decide whether to answer a call depending on what number shows on the id box.

Hooked this unit up (I have lots of phone wiring experience) it would NOT display the call-waiting caller I.D. (answered or not). Did display the calling number/time/date etc. as does every phone in the house. Totally useless!
