Customers recognize Far Cry Primal's engaging gameplay and immersive prehistoric setting as major highlights, with positive feedback also directed toward the story and animal taming mechanics. However, some players found the map design unoriginal and the repetitive nature of the later game stages to be drawbacks. The ease of use and price point were also frequently praised. A few players mentioned that the language barrier presented by the game's setting was a minor inconvenience.

I pre ordered this game because I loved Far Cry 3 and 4, didn't really look into it out of blind love of the series. I hated the game for the first hour ish that I played it but once the story line picked up it got so much better. I'm now 20 hours into the game and I can't put it down. So good. Only downside is that you have to make sure you're paying attention when you're talking to other tribespeople because they're speaking a different language and its subtitled.

Learn to craft a deadly arsenal, fend off fierce predators, and outsmart enemy tribes to conquer the land of Oros and become the Apex Predator.

It's a great addition to the franchise. Instead of taking it to the future like so many other franchises (Call of Duty), Far Cry takes you to the beginning and it works perfectly. Only issue like so many open world sandbox games. It does get repetitive. But, the constant pursuit of gaining better gear keeps the momentum going.

Best game, after Fallout. More fun than The Division, and decently good graphics.

I PLAYED THE LAST INSTALLMENT FARCRY 4 AND IT WAS NOTHING LIKE THIS FARCRY PRIMAL.THIS FARCRY PRIMAL IS LOTS OF FUN AND ADVENTURING, BUT IT LACKS A GOOD STORYLINE. IF YOU LIKE GAINING SKILLS FOR REWARDS AND USING THOSE SKILLS TO SURVIVE, THEN THIS IS YOUR GAME! OTHER THEN THAT, I GIVE IT A 7 OUT OF 10.

Ive heard people saying this game is just an exact copy of far cry 4 and its just a re skinned version of that game. Well yes it is, but isnt far cry 4 a re skinned version of far cry 3, and far cry 3 of far cry 2...etc. Although its "re skinned" I still found it refreshing in a world or first person games. When I played far cry 4 I found myself using the bow and arrow most the time anyways so I felt like Primal was a natural progression for the series. I mean how many shooters can a developer make (COD) I also enjoyed how this game has an element of RPG. You are essentially thrown into this valley and you have to rescue other villagers to bring back to your cave, to unlock other upgrades, you have to forage and gather resources to craft your weapons, traps, and your villagers huts (which unlocks more upgrades). The campaign is pretty straight forward, no shining light there. But if you are a gamer who likes to explore more than follow a story this game is right up your alley.

Far Cry Primal has the look and feel of a typical Far Cry game, but with a new twist. There are no guns in this game. At first, I was a little concerned because the gun customization for the past games was always a lot of fun. After playing this game for about 15 hours in total so far, it is one of my favorites for this series. They make you enjoy the weapons you get; bow, throwing stones, and especially the spear. It is also a cool idea to let us use the animals in the game for protection. Once you tame one of the wild animals, they get to follow you around and help to fend off other animals or bad guys too. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun open world game with really good graphics.

I wasn't sure how much I would like this game without vehicles or guns, but they were able to make it work in the pre-historic world. It's been fun to play with an amazing amount of area to cover and explore. If you enjoyed the previous Far Cry games you will like this one. Get it!

It's something that hasn't been done before, well at least from what I've seen. Combat is simple but satisfying. Having a pet fight along side of you is cool to see. There's a lot of gathering, but it is the time of hunters and gatherers.

Far Cry Primal is a great game...if you have never played a Far Cry game before. The brutal, animalistic combat feels more tense than previous Far Cry games due to the fact that everything from your cromagnen antagonists, to every animal around, it feels like every living thing in Primal is trying to kill you. Combine this with the fantastic pre-historic visuals and phenomenal, environmental sound design; this game really makes you feel as though you are fighting for your life. But with an unsatisfying and the standard level-up skill tree style progression Ubisoft is know for, it may be a hit or miss title depending on your history with the franchise.

I have never played any of the Farcry games before, but I rather enjoyed Primal. The "caveman" setting was something that I have not really encountered before during my twenty five years of gaming. The graphics were excellent, the mechanics worked extremely well for a first-person pov, and the animal taming abilities in the game add a whole new dynamic to the usual mission-centered first-person games that the current market seems saturated with. The only lacking portion of the game, in my opinion, would have to be the story.

This game is probably the best Far Cry game yet. With superb graphics and great storyline, it will keep you occupied for many hours. Very few bugs other than some liquid rocks that you can fall in but can't get out. Overall it is one of my favorites.

I liked what I have played of this game as well as what I have seen other people play of this game. I haven't played as much because of other huge games that came out around it... but I would recommend picking it up!

I really wanted to like this game. I loved Far Cry 3, I liked Far Cry 4, but I simply couldn't get into this one. It feels like more of the same much like 4 did. The graphics are beautiful, the world is detailed, and the taming mechanic was neat but I just couldn't get into it like I wanted. If it's your first foray into a Far Cry game, I recommend it. If, like me, you've played them all, you will probably have bad deja vu like when playing that other Ubisoft game series.

I'm not the biggest fan of close range combat, but the game play is not bad. The graphics are beautiful. However, much like Fallout 4, you are required to establish settlements in order to progress the game.

This is a great game whether you're a fan of the Far Cry series or not. The primitive setting is nice to look at & taming animals is a really nice touch.
