I have heard a lot about gamers and regular people using blue light filtering glasses. I honestly thought it was a bit cheesy, more of a gimmick than anything, and never really paid any attention to the need. So, when an opportunity to test and review a pair came along, I figured why not. My first thought was what is a blue light anyway. I mean I understand how light works but why is it a thing that has to be blocked at all. I then googled it like any normal person would and found out that "Blue Light" has several negative effects on our bodies, and it is not just our eyes. But yea, first off it is our eyes. In a process known as phototoxicity, it may damage our retinas. Today's normal amount of screen exposure to short-wave blue light may also be the cause of eye strains, irritation, and or blurred vision. The disclaimer here is that I get the feeling that the data supporting the findings about the negative effects of blue light are inconclusive.
All that said, I am a pc gamer, my career requires a tremendous amount of screen time, a full-time adult student, and I play on my phone a whole bunch. Needless to say, but I suffer from eye strains, dry eyes, and blurred vision at times. I normally just chalk it up to being tired but, my experience with the Felix Grey - Jemison Blue Light Glasses has me believing that the data is actually quite conclusive. The glasses claim to filter 15x more of the most impactful Blue Light than any other clear lenses. Not sure what or how I would ever measure that so I will take them at their word. What I can tell you is that the glasses look great on me. I personally do not require corrective lenses so I thought these would bother me to wear. The glasses are light weight and exceptionally stylish. I very often just wear then all day with no residual issues. There is an almost unnoticeable coloring distortion of certain hues while you look through them. I found this distortion super friendly while gaming as it almost seems to illuminate shading.
Another negative side effect of the copious amounts of blue light exposure we receive daily is on mental wellness. Again, the inconclusive studies show that when we stare at screens at night before bed. There is a disturbance in our natural circadian rhythm or mood-altering effects leaning towards sadness and depression.
My end thoughts are that my eyes have really felt better in general. Is that a coincidence or a placebo effect? your guess is as good as mine, but I feel better, so I am going to keep rocking the Felix Gray glasses. As for mood and sleep, I used to suffer from insomnia that was stress related, so I am not the best person for that since that obstacle has already been overcome for me. As for my mood, I have a pessimistically positive disposition too but again I have been surprisingly good as of late. Related? Either way, I like these, and I think you would too.

I received these and they arrived exactly as pictured. They came with a nice carrying case along with a nice cloth to clean the lenses with. They are light weight and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I spend about 10 hours a day generally in front of my computer or computers working. I have worn them for about a week to see how I like them.
Pros
- Light weight
- Comfortable for long periods of use
- Stylish, they look like normal glasses
- Nice sturdy carrying case to protect them
Cons
- A bit on the pricey side but look like normal glasses not gamer glasses like many others
- Don't know that I really saw a big difference wearing them vs. when I didn't have them before
- I seemed to sleep about the same and didn't experience any less/more headaches while wearing them
Overall I know that the blue light emitted from laptops and my phones isn't good but maybe I have just been so conditioned to it from my years of using computers and laptops I just don't notice.
If you are someone who suffers from chronic headaches or has trouble sleeping after using an electronic device for hours then these might be helpful to you but I would get them on sale.

Poor quality, didn’t last a couple of months. Glossy finish makes it look cheap. Don’t believe those paid reviews. Their support blames it everything but not them. Spend your money somewhere else. I had them in my drawer for while then when I wanted to use them they look blurry.

Classy Stylish and What an Eye Saver!

These come with a nice hard case and a cleaning cloth as well. The glasses themselves are stylish. I chose the black frames. They're very light and rest comfortable on the nose. If you turn them to the side you can actually see the layer that blocks out the harsh blue light when looking at monitors or television. With the amount of time I am in front of a computer during the day these were crucial. Being at school then work and then again at home to complete assignments or work my eyes were under tremendous strain to the point where they actually twitched a little and I would have to stop what I was doing to let my eyes rest.
With these I have not only been able to get my normal work completed but it's allowed me to work diligently and without any interruptions or long breaks slowing down productivity. I'm very pleased with these and they've actually made me look smarter too! Haha
If anyone is having the same issues I'd recommend these to others in need. They're a little pricey for what they are. I have had similar glasses for less so I'd say do your research and find whats best for you and what fits your budget

The Felix Gray - Jemison Blue Light Glasses are comfortable, stylish, and effective at reducing eye strain/fatigue.
Pros:
* Blue light filtering - I work on a computer 8+ hours a day and frequently experience eye strain/fatigue. I use the eye saver feature on the monitor but it does not always provide complete relief, especially after long days. I decided to get a pair of the Felix Gray computer glasses to see if using them in conjunction with other eye strain/fatigue mitigation strategies would help. After using these for several days, I have noticed reduced dry eyes/strain.
* Clear lenses - I have purchased blue light glasses in the past but never found a pair that worked effectively with clear lenses. The Felix Gray uses a proprietary blue light filtering pigment embedded into each lens which they report filters up to 15x of blue light while remaining clear. I personally prefer the clear appearance over tinted blue light glasses.
* Packaging - Minimalist environmentally friendly packaging that was easy to open and recycle. It protected the glasses well during shipping. The glasses also came with a sturdy case and a cleaning cloth.
Cons:
* Weight: The glasses are slightly front heavy which cause them to slip forward more often then other glasses I own.
Overall, the Felix Gray - Jemison Blue Light Glasses worked great for me. They have a more traditional look compared to other "gamer style" blue light glasses. If you are looking for a product to reduce eye strain/fatigue I recommend you give them a try.

These Felix Gray blue light blocking eyeglasses are designed to reduce eye and brain fatigue for people who sit in front of a Computer screen for long periods for work or gaming, but also block the blue light from fluorescent lighting common in office environments.
I happen to be a heavy screen time user at both home and at work since I can also work from home and I definitely suffer from eye and mental fatigue after long sessions.
These blue light blocking glasses from Felix Gray do a great job at blocking that blue light and they’re also super stylish which make me look great and sophisticated in the office or on Video conferencing calls.
The case is substantial and slick looking and the glasses themselves have that slick piano black glossy finish with the classic frame style. My wife commented immediately that I looked good with glasses even on though I’ve never needed prescription glasses.
The only dilemma I have now is that I need to remember to bring my glasses to work, but I may just end up buying a 2nd pair to leave in the office so I don’t have to worry about forgetting them.

As an IT professional, I spend a lot of time in front of the computer (8-10 hours a day). I had started feeling quite a bit of stress in my eyes including watery eyes at times. My eye doctors suggested to try glasses to protect against blue light emitted by all the devices that we use.
I have had these glasses for more than 2 weeks now and I am really happy with their performance. I feel much less fatigue at the end of my day. These are very light and I am able to keep them on the whole day without feeling the weight (I don't wear prescription glasses so was skeptical). The vision is clear, there is no distortion in the colors or clarity of the images/text. The build quality of these is very good. They come with a case and cleaning cloth. The case is also built nice and strong. The lenses are supposed to have double sided anti-glare coating with blue light filter. And I must say that it totally works.
So, overall these are pretty good. If you spend a lot of time in front of the devices, I will highly recommend these to give your eyes much needed rest.

Best blue light filtering glasses!

The Felix Gray Jemison Blue Light Glasses... best eye comfort pair of glasses I have tried so far!
Pros:
-- filters blue light without any yellow tint like most other glasses
-- very comfortable fit & light weight
-- no magnification (could be a pro OR con depending on a consumer's needs)
-- comes with a hard case & soft cleaning cloth
Cons:
-- glossy finish frame that's prone to fingerprints
As a software engineer, I usually look at monitors/screens for 8+ hours a day. By the end of my work days, I end up with headaches/migraines if I don't take breaks from the screen. With blue light filtering glasses, this issue is alleviated. I'm able to more comfortably view screens without needing to take breaks in between my working day & it helps me to focus more since my headaches are no longer being caused by looking at my screens. Previous blue light filter glasses I had have been pretty cheap/flimsy and have a yellow tint which hinder me from doing color accurate work, but not the Felix Gray Jemison! They are crystal clear and have very good build quality. If there's anything I can nitpick at, it's that I wish there were options for a metal frame instead.
Overall, I would highly recommend these to anyone has eye strain issues from looking at screens. Though they are pricey, you get great build quality & clarity unlike the vast cheaper options out there!

They definitely do what they claim to do by blocking the blue light. If you have ever worn any kind of glasses and had the glare filter put on it, it is the same thing…AR coating, except Felix Gray does both the outside and inside of the glasses and also has a process that they add to the lenses during manufacturing to also aid in filtering.
Real life use, I struggled to use them. I always picked glasses (before LASIK) that were thin wire frames and light. These are the exact opposite.
The glasses definitely feel sturdy and that translates into weight on your face. I could probably deal with that more if the actual lenses were wider and/or the frames thinner. I see too much of the frame in my peripheral view. To be fair, my frames were not as cheap as a pair of Felix Gray’s so I’m not complaining, just making observations.
I could not find what the lenses are made of as typically I always went with a Polycarbonate lens for lightness vs. a glass lens, and the mass of these made me think they were either glass or a very thick Polycarbonate.
My wife on the other hand has never had to wear glasses (other than sunglasses) and did not have any complaints about the size and/or mass…so like always it’s just me! LOL.
I can only suggest you try them for a while to determine if they will work for you. Personally I would go with some Aviator style to hide the frame in my field of view.
Color Accuracy: I do notice a “yellowing” of objects not on screen, but not very much. If you are doing anything where color accuracy needs to be 100% I would suggest not wearing these.
I think the glasses do as they claim, but like anything, nothing is ever one-size-fits-all, this will be one-size-fits-most/some.

My expectation was to receive a lightweight box delivered to my door and I was surprised by the sturdiness of the box. Definitely not cheap and flimsy, but actually useful for protecting the contents. Upon opening the box, I found the glasses case fitting snugly within. The case is a medium gray with the manufacturer, Felix Gray, written in silver lettering. Inside the case, the glasses were protected inside a plastic, sealed sleeve, and also contained the microfiber cleaning cloth. The case, pictured, is hard-shelled to protect my investment and has a soft, velvety inner lining to prevent scratches while stored. The included microfiber cloth keeps the Felix Gray glasses looking good and fully functional day after day. The cloth is about four inches by four inches and is a light gray.
The lenses in the glasses are solid and heavy. Looking at sunlight on the wall there is a very small amount of dimming, but hardly noticeable. The frames are all black with no fancy coloring, just black. They are well constructed and solid and are hard to bend, helping to protect the lenses held within. I think the frames are stylish, though nothing flashy.
I've worn the glasses for four days now. My work, writing software, requires that I spend long hours staring at computer screens every day. These glasses have reduced my eye fatigue noticeably and, after a few hours, I'm hardly aware that I'm wearing them.
I would highly recommend these glasses for anyone spending a moderate to heavy amount of time staring at computer screens, smart phones, etc.

These are really nice blue light glasses. I have several cheap-o pairs, this is my first “nice” pair. The case that the glasses come in feels really nice, but the inside of mine has a small crack from the glasses banging around inside during transit. A nice glass cleaning cloth is included inside. The glasses are a nice shape for me, squarish but a bit big for my face. Not that anybody is going to see me, but if I smile, I feel the bottom of the frame on my cheeks.
The lenses are nicer than what I have seen in my other blue light glasses. The color of the lenses is barely there, almost clear. My others are all darker, or even yellow toned, which makes me not want to wear them. The frame has the dimensions printed on the inside of one of the temple arms (part that goes over your ear) so that you can make sure the size is right for your head. The numbers on the Jemison frame are 52-18-145. Which means: The size of the lenses - the bridge size/ distance between lenses - temple length number.
So far I feel like these are actually doing something, unlike the cheap-o ones I have been trying. I mainly use them when looking at my phone, but I try to use them when I’m on the computer whenever I can.

I’m an aging gamer. I’ve been gaming since I was about 3 or 4 years old. I used to sit and play the NES for hours. I’ve been blessed with decent eyesight, I just turned 38 and finally thought I should take care of my eyes. I easily game for 3/4 hours a night before I go to bed. Sometimes I find myself getting a baby headache or just being unable to fall asleep for a while after turning off the screen. They say the blue light coming from screens affects your sleep pattern amongst other things. I’ve tried other blue light protection glasses before but never liked that they add a yellow tint to everything. These are pretty clear and don’t affect the color or contrast much. I’ve spent thousands of dollars to have a great screen and computer / game console to match and give me great colors and graphics. I don’t want to ruin my picture with a yellow tint from glasses, so I really appreciate the fact that these glasses protect my eyes without affecting the color accuracy of the screen I’m looking at. Especially when editing photos on my computer. They are very lightweight but feel sturdy. The Frame sits comfortably on my nose. I wear them for hours without feeling any sort of fatigue on my face or nose and I think I actually fall asleep a little quicker now since I started using these at night. I really like them, and you should definitely invest in a pair of these if you work, game or just watch alot of media on a screen.

I purchased several pairs of Blue Light glasses before - but I'll say hands down this feel like the most solid, study pair I've owned yet! They hugs my face well and feel good on my nose - something that I don't have a problem wearing for many hours of the day.
Since Covid, I work from home full time and and surrounded by several monitors. By the end of the day I'm tired of looking at the screens and being bombarded by blue light. I'm hoping these glass will help change my attitude of how this affect my eyes as well as my overall well being.
The lenses in these glass are very clear. That wasn't true about previous pairs of blue light glasses I've owned. They also come with UVA/UVB coatings as well - which is great because my office full of windows and I receive copious amounts of sunlight.
My only regret is that I didn't order any magnification strength in them - so they could replace my readers as well. I appears I'll be making another order soon to get those!
If you are looking for a well made pair of blue-light glasses that come with a study case and cleaning cloth - look no further.

I work at a computer most of the day and needed some help with the tired eyes. I have tried other glasses with varying degree of success. So when I saw these and read that there was no yellow tint or distortion, I was hooked. Well let me tell you what I found out after getting these glasses.
1. "no yellow"? well in truth it is alot less then the others, but as a graphic designer, I do see yellow tint.
2. these are slick that if you lean forward they will slide down your nose
3. stems are too long and therefore since they do not sit on your ears like other glasses, they will slide forward (like mentioned above)
4. there is a reflection problem from behind when I wear them inside with office lights. I would have thought with this price point that a anti-glare coating would be part of the deal.
5. they are as close to non prescription as I have seen, however, there is still slight distortion on edges to the point I had to keep my head centered at all times to not have blurred vision.
6. I thought it came with a carry bag along with the case. I got a hardshell case (thank you) and a cleaning cloth. So I have to find ways to transport it now that I can't just slip it into my jacket or sling due to case size and rigidness.
7. if you wear regular glasses I am sure you will have no problems with field of vision inside the frames. But as a non glasses wearer, it is kind of distracting to have ever so slight magnification and not even a consistent one, in the lens. so I get alittle motion sick if I turn my head quick and my eyes have to adjust to being slightly off from regular vision.
Ok so now that that is out of the way, lets move on to the good points.
1. good shape (slight wayfarer)
2. light weight
3. eyes don't feel strained after long hours on computer.
4. case is rugged and seems like it will last quite awhile.
sadly that it about it for the good stuff. If I had to do over again. I would have tried them on in a store or something to see how they fit. Maybe even get a different model that would feel and stay on better. But, as it stands, I am not happy I got them, but also I am glad they do work for the intended purpose.
