If you have Final Fantasy VII nostalgia, or just finished another round of the game, this movie is an amazing end piece. It features all the characters and, for the most part, sticks to how you would imagine them acting in the game. Every time I watch this movie it makes me want to fire up my Playstation and put in another 80 hours (Over time of course). The ONLY thing I kind of have a slight issue with is that I would have liked to see the other main story characters (Tifa, Barret, Red) have more active fight scenes. Even with that, this is a superb movie.

I played Final Fantasy 7 Remake earlier this year and loved it! I had a copy of the first release of Advent Children that didn't include the extended minutes, which really do add more to the story and made it as the title implies: Complete. My copy I got did have some very minor pauses here and there, but that might be an issue with my player. It's uncertain for now, but didn't make that big of a difference. All in all, this Blu-ray was amazing!

Some will critique this movie and if it is required/essential for FF7 fans. Short answer is that it isn't essential for fans of the original... but for those of us that adored the original cast more than words can express, this movie fills the heart with joy and gives closure in my eyes to an awesome set of characters.
... until FF7R is revealed as something of a sequel after all. :)

What can I possibly say, continues the story perfectly, adds some more depth to our main character Cloud, the Complete edition even throws Zach in there to deepen Cloud's character a bit more, and the Complete edition just fills in so many of the plot holes compared to the original. Such as the new character Denzel. He makes more sense now, well his inclusion in the cast. Fight scenes extended is quite cool too, along with actually seeing damage and dirt on the characters from the fights. Overall an excellent edition. Only bad thing is that it isn't a stand alone title... well kind of but not really.

I love final fantasy! If you are a really big fan then you will definitely love this movie. The graphics in the movie are amazing. I love the story and i feel like you can really get into the movie . It has great action scenes but also some sentimental ones. Huge improvement from the previous movie. At first the plot was difficult to follow for my husband he hasn't seen any but later on he pretty much caught on with a little explanation lol. Im so glad we got the Blue ray version instead of the DVD

The Complete Edition is what you need to understand the story. Whole scenes were left out of the Special Edition that were brought back in the Complete. Here, the disconnects are gone, and the story ties up the loose ends left behind by other editions of Advent Children. Finally, Cloud's character is developed. Advent Children is a bit known for reversing Cloud's development from FF7.

I first saw this movie a few years ago and was blown away by the action, storyline, and the quality of the animation. After waiting several years to actually purchase this film on Blu-Ray, I can say I was every bit as excited to watch it as I was when it first came out. The Blu-Ray plays perfectly and the movie looks and sounds great! There is also a lot of extra content included in this special edition package to keep your interest. Overall, a great buy and an excellent film!

Final Fantasy VII is the second best in the series

FF VII is not the best but deserves 5 stars. But If you are into Anime or Final Fantasy series, then this is a must have movie in either blu-ray or UHD download. I have own this in regular DVD for about 8 to 9 years and the Blu-Ray is worth the upgrade for the graphics alone.
Now! The second movie of the Final Fantasy series "The Spirits Within" is the best in the series but FFVII Advent Children is a close second.

Solid Solid Movie

For final fantasy 7 fans, this film is a solid companion piece/continuation of the story. While the original PS1 game didn't have voice acting, the voices in this film seemed to fit what I expected characters to sound like. It's a fun title and this release is the best version yet.
From a perspective of the actual bluray disc, it's pretty solid for animation. Miles ahead of "Spirit within" and while not as colorful as something like a Pixar movie, the sharpness is solid and the audio is great as well. Come on, it's $5!

Enhanced over the original with additional footage and improved visuals, this is great for fans looking to take a trip down memory lane. Word of caution, the code that comes with the movie only redeems a Japanese dialog digital copy. If you are interested in English, that is only accessable using the disc.

I love this movie. It was so hard to find a blu-ray copy. I had it on DVD but I watched it so much I had to get a new one. This is a movie for someone who loves the games. It gives a more in depth perspective of the characters and i love it. If you haven't seen this you should.

The extended complete version of this movie improved on the original in every way. It filled plot holes, redesigned some of the scenes and added a couple cool special features that cover the events in the final fantasy 7 and spin off games. Good English cast and still holds up for a 12 year old cgi movie. Plus only $6, a must buy for fans!

The little extra was fine but not too much to go crazy over. The anime short was not dubbed but it was an OK story. It explains where Denzil came from. The action was great and can watch it over and over again. So stuff from the first movie/ original was explained wait is fine. All good all the way. I would only recommend if they have not played the game and not saw the first release of this movie. It explains a lot this time around in this movie.

I watched this film when it was released back in 2005 in standard definition. The HD 1080p experience is 100 times better. Everything is so clear and detailed. The action scenes are so smooth and fluid. They also added scenes that gives a little bit more background story Denzel. Overall the story is way too slow and told in a confusing way. I give the storytelling a 2 out of 5. I give the action scenes a 5 out of 5.

Even though the movie has aged a but I still think it graphically compares to the most recent Final Fantasy movie Final Fantasy XV Kingsglaive. I have been trying to own this movie on bluray for a very long time and was surprised to see it go on sale for so cheap for a one day only flash sale. Good movie for a good price.

I am a huge fan of the game Final Fantasy VII, and if you like that game, this movie really explores a possible "future" after the game ends....great action..
Also, this movie is one of the basis's for them to re-release a new FF7 game...as the characters will more resemble these in the movie.

i remember watching this when it first came out, i loved it because i am a fan of FF7, i was wanted to get my hands on a copy, but never did, glad i didn't back the now, because this 'complete' version is so much better than the regular versions. the extra scenes/ dialog really help to fill out the story better.
