Customers are saying

Customers admire the Aria 2 Wi-Fi Smart Scale for its effortless setup, seamless synchronization with Fitbit, and precise measurements. Many users appreciate the convenience of tracking their weight directly on their phones and the ability for multiple users to utilize the scale. While some users have experienced occasional connectivity issues and concerns about the price, these drawbacks do not overshadow the overall positive customer sentiment towards the scale's accuracy and user-friendly features.

Great Scale for obsessive weight trackers

I absolutely love this scale. If you're part of the Fitbit ecosystem, this is an amazing purchase to add. It automatically weights you and sends the info to your phone. The scale is also decently accurate when it comes to weight and somewhat accurate when it comes to fat%. Even if it's just decently accurate, you can at least use it to see how well you're doing. The Fitbit app also averages our your weight throughout the week. So if you are a obsessive weight tracker like myself that weighs yourself every day, the average actually helps you see if it's trending downward or staying the same. So even if you have one bad weight, you don't get dismotivated. So far, I found weighing myself daily to be a breeze. My wife and I love it so far. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to keep track of their weight and see how it's trending.

Works well if you are already committed to Fitbit and their app. Love how it keeps track and fits together with my other fitness health information. Looks good. I don’t know if I would necessarily buy it if my old scale didn’t break. But love the convenience of having it. I definitely believe I try harder to lose weight since it’s easily tracked. Con. Pricey. Hard to tell how accurate the BMI and fat info is. But I like to use that as a reference point to work down. Sometimes it won’t recognize the user and logs the weight as a guest. Sometimes can’t connect to the WiFi. Could be network since this is on the far side of the house in a closet.

    Frustrating device

Our Aria Smart Scale died after much abuse. In my support for helping my wife lose weight I decided to pick up the Aria 2. I have to be honest, this thing was very frustrating to add to my FitBit account. My wife and I weigh about the same, so I can understand why it has a hard time picking between the two of us, but it's very frustrating when you can't easily select the correct user. I don't know how many times I've had to manually change the user in app. The first Aria we owned was super easy. I have no idea why they made this one so contrary. It seems to be pretty accurate on the weight (I never trust the BMI calculation on these types of devices). Would I buy it again? Probably, but I prefer the first Aria I bought.

Brought this scale to sync up with my FitBit trackers and the FitBit ecosystem. Works very well. It recognizes different users very accurately and tracks accordingly. Easy to set up and use. I use it every morning before breakfast.

When combined with the Fitbit app and a Fitbit step tracker you get really good feedback as you try to get more steps in every day. Seeing weight come off in real time and tracking it on the app gives a nice sense of accomplishment.

I purchased this to replace an existing scale. The Fitbit Aria 2 works seamlessly with WiFi to report each weighing to my cell phone. (and Fitbit account). Great product. Very little needed after the initial setup. Highly recommended.

    My second/third Aria

I originally purchased the first Fitbit Aria as a present to myself almost 2 years ago. Before it was a year old it started doing crazy things and Fitbit sent me a replacement. Another 6 month later and it just gave up and would do nothing but give me error codes and Fitbit was not really any help. I figured I was SOL so it just say there mocking me for not feeling brave enough to fix it. But lo and behold in digging for something else in my Best Buy account, I saw I'd splurged on the extended warranty since I got it on sale. I was saved. I took it in and since there's no more of the originals I got the upgrade. Let me tell you about the new one. It looks very similar except for the underside which is no longer strangely countoured. BUT, once you use it your realize the screen is magnitudes clearer and easier to see. That's the good. The bad is how very difficult this thing is to connect to anything. I'm reasonably proficient in technology and it took days and I'm still not entirely sure the connection is stable or will remain so. Here's what I did after the first few times if trying to follow the in app instructions (this process was by searching through forums for as meant suggestions at I could find) 1. Take the battery out of the device. Complete further steps with battery out. 2. Setup a guest Network on my router. No spaces, no weird symbols, and not too long for the name. 3. Connect my phone to the guest Network. 4. Get into the app and get ready by going to Wi-Fi set-up. 5. Put battery in whole pushing the button to get back into pairing mode (in theory the battery pull is supposed to trigger that but mine never did.) 6. follow the prompts. 7. If it doesn't "see" the network, add it manually, remembering that the name is case sensitive. 8. Wait and scowl while threatening to crush it (not precisely sure this last one is required, but I'm trying to be as specific and detailed as possible ;) ) 9. When that still doesn't work, and every time there's a glitch after, reboot the whole damned router. So yeah, not an effortless process. Now don't get me wrong, I've talked to plenty of people who've not had a lick of issue with their device. But I'm not remotely the only person who's had issues with the device either. And to the best of my knowledge since the release they haven't upgraded the firmware-so they're slow. But it's Fitbit and we know this. It's possible they'll eventually sort it via software. But right now, despite the fact that the display is beautiful, and when it works it's fantastic to have everything merged so seamlessly, I'd only recommend this to die hard Fitbit enthusiasts who are ok with the semi occasional "can't connect" with a frownie face, and who are also dexterous enough for all the fiddling plus who are also very friendly with their routers. Otherwise, maybe take a wait and see approach. I'm willing to put up with it because it's essentially free, but if I'd spent actual money on it, I figure I'd be much less forgiving. And I think it says something that Best But isn't offering Geek Squad on it, or at least they couldn't figure out how to let me purchase it on this one (I asked considering the issues I'd had figuring it was a no, and way rolls that yes I could purchase new Geek Squad extended warranty so I was stoked, but then it wouldn't work and when the clerk looked in he said it didn't appear they were offering it as a whole)

Works great and very accurate. New version uses less battery and drain. If you want to setup different images for each person we had to login with an iOS application as unable to set this feature online.

If you are a Fitbit user this is an excellent addition to your tracking tool. It calculates not only weight, but BMI, lean versus fat and Body Fat %. Is it spot on? No, but it helps to track your journey.

Didn’t realize I needed this till I bought it. Originally bought for my partner who is trying to put on more weight (fast metabolism and works out) and muscle mass. Then I stepped on and had a huge eye opener. Couldn’t believe my fat percent or BMI. It triggered me to join that stupid gym with the partner that I’ve been putting off. Initial set up was not the easiest, just like other reviews have stated. DO NOT try to add another user from the app on your phone. You do need to go to the Fitbit website from a computer and log into your account that way.

This scale is a bit pricey but it's worth it if you want to keep an accurate record of your weight changes. My wife has a Fitbit watch and it sends the results of her weigh-in to her Fitbit app. I don't have a Fitbit watch but I downloaded the Fitbit app and it works with the app on my phone. The written instructions could be a little better so I would recommend watching a YouTube video if you get one.

Bought this scale for my wife to sync with her fitbit. Great scale and as accurate as you can get for a home product that tracks body fat percentage. Easy to set up and it runs on only 1 AAA battery.

This scale does weight consistently and accurately. It's feature for syncing to your fitbit app is extremely convenient. That being said it sometimes will not sync due to connectivity issues and you will have to weigh yourself a few times to get it to sync. It also does not display an accurate body fat percentage which seems to go up as you lose weight and gain muscle? It's off by almost 4% right now and changes sparatically. My wife and I also had issues in the beginning, it got us confused and logged her weight as mine without prompting to select which user or auto selecting the correct one. Every blog I read on the fitbit site also suggests that they do not care and it's working as intended so nothing is actually being done about it. Overall it's only good for accurate weight measurements and convenience when it syncs, which it does most of the time for me.
