I bought this to start getting serious about my health.
Uses-mainly to keep track of pace during running , check heart rate after workouts to see if I pushed myself hard enough , daily activity summary such as steps etc.
Have not used it to track my sleep.
Pros-very light weight.Easy to forget you are wearing it.
Charge lasts a long time
Band not irritant( I had a reaction to the Fitbit charge HR band)
Easy to read.
Lights up with a flick of the wrist.
Cons-flimsy recharging contraption that looks like its gonna break soon
Need to slide out the main watch part to charge
No 3rd party straps as yet.$99 for leather straps is way too much.
People approach you because they think its an Iwatch and then lose interest when you say "fitbit".
I have not tested its accuracy regarding measurements,
Perfect 1st fitness watch for the novice.Lack of onboard GPS may be a deal breaker for the more experienced.

I like that I can track my sleep, steps, heart rate & more! You can invite people to do challenges, we do challenges at work to see who walks more steps during the week. It keeps us motivated to keep moving. The battery last about 4 days. Since it's not waterproof I charge mine when I take a shower. When I wash dishes I wear it high on my wrist to keep it from getting submerged in water. It's splashed proof so if it gets wet I just dry it when I'm done. The screen is big enough to see ur text and who is calling you, at times my phone is inside my purse and when I get a call it appears on my fitbit. If it's not an important call I don't have to look for my cell.

A big step up from the Charge HR

I previously had a Fitbit Charge HR, but after encountering problem after problem with it, I decided to upgrade to the Blaze. I have had the Blaze for a couple of months now, and it is a BIG step up from the Charge HR. If you are torn between the Charge HR and the Blaze, the Blaze is the way to go if you are willing to fork over the extra money. In my opinion, it is worth it. That said, I still encounter some of the same frustrations that I had before with the HR, as I’ll describe below. Here is a run-down of my observations.
The Good:
Reliability--the heart rate monitor is much more reliable than the Charge HR. The problem with the Charge HR is that it was notorious for losing the heart rate during more intense workouts, such as HIIT, especially when heart rate was 150+. This was one of my main frustrations with the Charge HR. The Blaze has been much more reliable. I noticed yesterday that the Blaze was even picking up my heart rate at 180 bpm. Only on occasion have I noticed the dreaded “--” when it is unable to pick up the heart rate, and it is usually only seconds before it detects it again.
Design--I think that the watch looks much more attractive than the Charge HR. I was concerned that the watch face would be too big for my wrist, but it is not. I personally find the design to be slick, and the screen when activated is sharp, colorful, and easy to read. Lots of people have even stopped me to ask about it, not knowing that it was a Fitbit.
Battery--I am getting 1-2 days more than what I got with my Charge HR. The low battery notifications are also much more reliable than what I experienced with the Charge HR. Some have complained about the charging cradle that comes with the Blaze, but I personally haven’t experienced any problems with it. Snapping the tracker back into the band can take a little maneuvering, but after a few times it becomes easier.
Workout Modes--You can select what type of workout you are doing. As far as I know, this doesn’t affect how the tracker tracks, but it is nice that you can now keep a record of what type of workout you did on what day.
The Indifferent:
Watch Faces--There are four available, but only one that I actually like. Fortunately, I REALLY like that one, so It’s a minor problem. Still, more options would be nice, and I would be surprised if Fitbit didn’t roll out new faces in the future. More customization would be a nice addition, too. Changing to a new face seems silly, as it must be done on the app or computer, not on the tracker itself.
Watch bands--I assume that soon enough generic bands will be available, but Fitbit charges an absurd amount of money for the stylish watch band replacements. I have the standard black band, but I also like the leather band, but at $99.95, I don’t like it THAT much!
The Bad:
Connectivity Issues--Randomly, usually at least once a week, the tracker will not sync with my Android phone (Motorola Droid Turbo). Usually the problem will be resolved with either a restart of the tracker, or just randomly at some point later that day, or at its worst, the next day.
Customer Support--Fitbit customer support is usually just cut-and-paste answers that one could easily find on the internet, and often they don’t actually correct the problem. With the connectivity issues, their support team provides a list of fixes (restart the phone, restart the tracker, restart the app, etc.), but the company overall doesn’t seem to be addressing the fact that these issues exist in the first place. Also, at one point they blamed my phone, which works fine with everything else.
Overall, the tracker is great. It does what I want it to do, and it is much more reliable than the Charge HR. The connectivity issues can be a minor annoyance, but fortunately a temporary one.

It does everything I need it to do. My best feature is the heart rate monitor. I consistently track all my calories and workouts on My Fitness Pal, so when I switched from the Charge to the blaze, (with heart rate monitor) I found that I was burning way more calories than I thought. Just carrying in the groceries and cleaning the house was showing a marked increase in calorie burn! It keeps me wanting to move. The Easter bunny brought it in my Easter basket this year!! I'm so glad he stuck with my "no candy" policy!!
Buy it!

Not an Apple Watch, Thank you!

Lightweight, stylish, functional, intuitive, and affordable. Those are the first 5 things that come to my mind for this fitness watch. In Comparison, I think the Apple Watch is ugly, big, heavy, expensive and annoying. I'm an iPhone user and though I considered the Apple watch, I really didn't. The got interested in the Blaze in mid-January and was anxious for its Arrival in March. Now that I have it, I find that it helps me do everything I want a weable to do. As a bonus, The battery lasts about 4 days! I love mine and it inspires me to be more fit, which was the goal.

PROS:
* Tough, comfortable to wear, stylish, and easy to get on and off. I was worried that it would feel like I had a fragile cell phone strapped to my wrist, but it's not like that at all. I've banged it into things, bumped it around, sweated on it, gotten dirt on it, and it cleans up and keeps on going no problem.
* Great combo between a fitness tracker and a smartwatch - perfect for working athletes or busy parents on the go.
* Heart rate monitor is tops - has no problem reading my heart rate in a variety of exercises and I don't have to keep the wristband in an uncomfortable position or strapped on too tightly.
* Sleep tracker is surprisingly accurate.
* Intuitive to use and pairs seamlessly with my iPhone 6.
* Fitbit app is fun to use, visually pleasing, and a nice compliment to the device.
* Long battery life, easy to charge (you pop out the black square device from the interchangeable wristband), charges quickly.
* It's a nice bonus to get email, calendar, text, call and other notifications right on my wrist without having to keep my phone on me (as long as you're in Bluetooth range). Keep in mind that notifications only work if you're synched with your phone via Bluetooth.
* All the fitness features - GPS synching, etc, work really well.
* Ability to see call notifications and also accept or decline the call right from the watch screen.
CONS:
* Plastic wristband gets sweaty and, if you wear it day after day, can cause some skin redness in places. I recommend washing the band in soap and water daily, and taking it off for a little while each day.
* For some reason, if I let the Fitbit automatically detect exercise, it will categorize a vigorous walk as time on an elliptical machine instead. You can go into the app and recategorize exercises, but it's still annoying.
* If my hands are cold or too dry, sometimes it takes a few taps to get the touchscreen to recognize input.
* When you're in the exercise tracking mode (note: this is a mode you enter manually, I'm not talking about the day-to-day tracking of steps) you can't access the rest of the device (in other words, it won't track an exercise in the background while still allowing you to still use the clock, step tracker, etc). You can scroll through screens while in the exercise mode to see the time of day and etc, but it's still annoying that the exercise mode can't run in the background.
* Longer text messages (over 3-4 sentences) get cut off on the Fitbit screen.

The Fitbit Blaze is perfect for me! I had reviewed many other activity trackers as well as the apple iWatch. After hearing and seeing the issues with the iWatch I opted for the Blaze. Great quality! The band is durable and easy to clean. The heart rate monitor is right on when compared with other heart rate monitors at my local gym. Sleep monitoring and daily challenges on the Fitbit App make for an exciting week. I've received many compliments wearing this watch! Don't wait!

Love this Fitbit watch, it does all that I want it to do. The battery lasts at least five days and doesn't require a special phone as it works with both IOS or Android. I have been using this for device for almost the full year and I still love it. I would recommend it to anybody wanting to keep track of there steps and heart rate. It works well for your sleep pattern as well. Feels good and its very thin, so it doesn't get caught on things. Yes I recommend this version of the Fitbit.

I have had the Flex, the Charge HR and then I upgraded to the Surge. The week after I bought the Surge the announcement about the Blaze came out! Instant returned my Surge and put my name on the preorder for the Blaze. I love my Blaze. I compared it to the Apple Watch and the Blaze fit my needs perfectly. I have already recommended this to others and they have brought it! Challenging each other constantly. It is a MUST buy!

I have to admit, my life revolves around apple but I just couldn't justify the cost of an apple watch. I bought this instead and have been somewhat pleased with it. So, it doesn't do everything the apple watch does and their are only 4 clock faces for the watch. Yet it is a fraction of the cost. The heart rate monitor has been extremely accurate as well as the sleep monitor. The watch not only controls sound played through your headphones, but also through any bluetooth speaker you are connected to which is cool. The silent vibration alarms are quite strong and have been a nice added alarm for daily needs. There aren't many options on bands, but I did go with the sport black band and the stainless steal band. Both are really comfortable and light weight. Over all, it's a good watch but don't expect it to compete with the apple watch.

As an alternative for the Apple Watch the Blaze is it in my opinion. I would say the only flaw I've noticed is the Pulse Sensor on the back is a little uncomfortable. If you're looking for a fancy screen with a ton of options this watch isn't for you. Keeping track of the steps, calories, quality of sleep and heart rate in the app is great. You can link the app with My Fit Pal and other apps which is nice if you're into tracking every little detail. The strap seems strong and even has some elasticity to it which helps keep the sensor tight to your arm when you're working out and sweaty. The watch lets you read your text and see who's calling just like other smart watches, it holds a charge for about four days if you're really active. I've had the watch for little over a month and put it through its paces and its held up well.

I love my Blaze! I purchased my Blaze after returning an Apple Watch. With the Apple Watch there are a ton of features. However, the problem for me was that instead of constantly looking at my phone I was now looking at my watch. With the Blaze you get all the activity tracking you get with the Apple Watch. The only downside I see is the lack of embedded GPS. In order to track a run or walk or most outdoor moving activities you still need to have your phone. BUT the same is also true of the Apple Watch. So instead of a $300 iPhone for your wrist I got a really nice $200 activity tracker. The battery life has been more than satisfactory. The bonus is that I can have text, phone call alerts and calendar alerts discreetly sent to the Blaze. Now I don't have to pull the phone out just to check and see if I have a missed call or text. Also, the Fitbit app is a key part to your Fitbit experience (any Fitbit device). The app has truly challenged me to live a healthier life. I have really enjoyed tracking my food and sleep. Very insightful. I am very happy with the Blaze and very glad that I chose this over the Apple Watch. The right price, the right features in a solid performing device!
