Nicer then the flex

It does more then the flex. I wish it was a little smaller. The battery sometimes doesn't hold charge very long. It also scratches easy, right where the time display is. I still really like what it tracks and that I don't have to tell it I'm sleeping like you do with the flex. If your wrists are super tiny, it doesn't fit right...see if you can try it on first. My wrist are good size for it but I've had friends return it because it was awkward.

I am so glad I waited for the Charge HR. The heart rate monitor is worth it since my favorite activity is Zumba. The only complaint I have... my wrist measured 6.5". I think it said small fits up to 6.5. I wish I would have read closer that the large encompasses that size too. I never would have thought I needed a large, but the small fits on the second to last hole to where the band that is supposed to hold the left over band doesn't click into any hole. I have had NO problems with it coming loose or coming off though.

This is my second Fitbit and I love the new upgrades to the original standard Fitbit I had originally purchased - so now I can tell time, check my heart rate, track my sleep and track my activity all with one device.
I do believe that the App itself can be easier to use - especially when wanting to log exercise - I still haven't mastered that. And it gives me a good giggle when I reach major step goals while driving our golf cart. Overall - I am very pleased with the device. If I could add anything to it I would add a battery power level symbol within the menu options - as I tend to not notice the battery dying until it's too late.

The fitbit is great for people who want to know their health status at the flick of the wrist. It gives you somewhat accurate reading of your heart rate, so it's great if you are doing aerobics or other forms of exercise. I like the fact that it vibrates when you have an incoming call, so no more missed calls!!!! I now have my phone on silent ring mode at all times because of this feature. It tracks your sleeping habits, your daily steps, your calories burned (not sure how accurate this is though), among other things. I think it's much better than just wearing a regular watch! Now if only they can come up with a waterproof one so I never have to take it off my wrist!!!

I love that I can work out and the Fitbit tracks my heart rate, sleep, calories burned etc so I can check my progress later. I get weekly emails on my progress and reminders to charge it, too. I love how hands off I can be yet still have a variety of data available to track different aspects of my health/workout progress. I originally got it so I could see how well my workouts were working for me to get my heart in the fat-burning zone and cardio zone but this does so much more than that. Only con I have is that the instructions say it should hold a charge for about 4-5 days but I have to charge mine every other day.

This is my first activity tracker. It's been very easy to use, and I've been happy with the performance. I'm still learning all the features, but enjoy the steps, hr, and sleep trackers.

I gave up a watch years ago, and I have very small wrists, so I don't like things on my wrist. I bought a small, but it's not small enough. So the device can be pretty annoying to wear at times...especially now during the winter when all my long sleeves catch on it.
However, I love the functionality, the tracking, especially the heartrate and sleeping, how it automatically knows when I'm active and not, I like that it vibrates when I reach my goal and when the phone rings and tells me who is calling. The app and statistics have been very useful....who knew I slept so little and had such a low hear rate?

Simple to use, interfaces well with iPhone. Tracks steps, cardio, and sleep patterns. Charge only lasts two to three days, so watch the charge level.

I have worn my watch everyday since getting it. The set-up was super simple and I love that it tracks my heart rate, steps, floors, activity and sleep patterns. Plus the App is super easy to use and navigate. At first I thought I would hate the size of the watch, but you don't even notice it after a few hours.

I have owned the clipon fitbit, and the Fitbit flex (lost them). I was excited for Fitbit Hr to come out. The Pros-The discreet look that doesn't clash with my jewelry. The simple display, and the heart rate monitor. The Cons- The step counter is way off. It counts my wrist movements as steps. I hit the 10,000 steps without the walking. The other Fitbit products were better for the pedometer. This one is disappointing because it cant distinguish my walking, from me wiping down my kitchen counters. I wouldn't recommend this model until it becomes more reliable.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied. The heart rate monitor is relatively accurate throughout the day and after a couple of weeks you can pick up on patterns that let you know when to pay attention to Fitbit's readings and when to ignore it (like all data, there is going to be a time to interpret and time to throw some numbers out). During heavy workouts it does have trouble getting an accurate reading when my heart rate jumps sky high, but at those moments, I KNOW my heart rate is racing so there's that.
I was pleasantly surprised by how accurate the sleep tracking was. I thought this was going to be the feature I liked least and I'll admit I was completely wrong. I like it most. When I'm stressed out my sleep is the first thing affected so I didn't think this feature would matter much. But the tracking was so sensitive I was able to track minor details in my sleep like when I wake up and when my heart rate spikes and how often I toss and turn. I realized that I actually sleep better in certain areas than in others that I hadn't thought of before and I was surprised by some spikes in my heart rate at certain hours in the night. Turns out, I have a very loud neighbor that gets home late night and disrupts my sleep. Now I use a noise machine to drown out the sound at 3am and low and behold... no more restless 3am spikes. Thanks Fitbit!
My only true gripe is cleaning my Fitbit. I really haven't found a good way to get the sweat and grime off and I'm still trying to find a good trick without leaving a residue. The closest I've come to success is using a gentle makeup remover. That seems to cut through the sweat and grease film left behind after a workout.

HR monitor is 1-4% off from my Polar HR chest strap monitor, which is pretty good considering it's a wrist-worn device. I feel that checking the app on my iPhone 6 forces the Fitbit to burn through the battery a little faster. Also, I've been using MyFitnessPal for over 2 years to track my food intake & love the integration of the Fitbit app & MyFitnessPal. My only issue is it will double log my activity if I specifically enter my exercise in MFP, but I use the exercise log feature of the FitBit to track calories/distance. Not sure how to change that. I usually charge it when I shower & never have had it tell me low battery. I enjoy the sleep tracker feature & feel that I am sleeping better because I am more aware of my sleep habits. I bought the black so I can wear it with anything. I'm not a marathon runner, but I do work out 4-5x week and this fits my needs. Seeing my daily steps on my days off of the gym encourages me to walk a little more or take the stairs more often. All in all, I think it's worth the investment.

I read the reviews on the HR prior to buying. I have very small wrists so got the small - fits fine on 6th slot in from the end. It does take some getting used to in order to find the best spot on your wrist for it to "set", but once you do, it is not uncomfortable. I followed their suggestion of it being two fingers above the base of your hand. I say a great tool because of all of the things it monitors: activity sleep heart rate. It showed me that I was getting more sleep than I thought, and that I was getting less peak cardio than I thought I was getting at the gym. It helped me to adjust my workouts and monitor my goals. I have not had any of the skin problems others have mentioned- but I take it off right after working out and dry the contacts - I also wipe all down with mild astringent once a week. I love this product and am very happy with it. The only thing I would like is perhaps an interchangeable band so it could be "fashionable " but I'm sure someone will come out with something soon, if they haven't already

I really like the Fitbit Charge HR--it's comfortable and sleek, and has an easy-to-read screen... I have only two knocks on this product: 1) It's not waterproof (so I have to take it off even before I shower!) which is an annoyance; and 2) The battery lasts about 3-1/2 days (was really hoping for more). With that said however, I love the features of the HR--steps, sleep time/accuracy, heart rate--even the phone alerts. It's worth the price paid, but especially being waterproof would really have been great.

I was unsure which fitbit to buy and then ended up getting the Charge HR Activity Tracker + Heart Rate and I absolutely love it. Seeing how many flights of stairs I climb every day and how many steps I take keeps me completely motivated. And, knowing my heart rate and sleep pattern is very eye opening. If you're on the fence about which one to get, I'd suggest this one especially if you have any kind of heart disease in your family. It will give you a full review of how your own heart is doing should you ever need to show a doctor.

This year I had a goal to work out more, which I have done, but when I started a fitness challenge competition I wanted to really keep track of my activity. I watched several videos on YouTube that compared different trackers and talked with several people who had them too. A good majority had the FitBit and some had the Jawbone or Garmin. I ended up going with the FitBit Charge HR so that I could keep track of my heart rate, exercise and the fact that I could track my sleep seemed an added bonus. It took me a day or two getting use to having something on my wrist since I did not wear a watch.
One tip I found out the hard way: If you pair the FitBit with your phone DO NOT pair it with another device. I paired my phone with a bluetooth speaker and after I was done the FitBit would not sync with the phone. Not a huge deal, but was frustrating since I did not know what was causing the problem. I deleted the FitBit app, reset the phone and reinstalled the app and it has worked correctly since then. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you like to pair devices with your phone, it might cause the same issue.

I love my fitbit Charge HR. I find the that step reading is only a few steps off. I like that you can choose on which wrist you wear it. You can select non-dominant hand vs. dominant hand. The heart rate monitor I don't have anything to compare it too so I can only assume it is accurate. It has 2 little green lights on the inside of the band. It is annoying at night sometimes when I catch a glance at it but you can turn it off, on, or auto. The app is pretty awesome too. Some may not be motivated by badges but you can also challenge friends to daily competitions. There are also fitbit groups you can join if you don't have any friends that don't use fitbit. It also counts flights of stairs. It's pretty comfortable. The only a few cons. You can't wear it in the shower. The face is easily scratched (it is a shiny plastic). I may have to cut up a phone screen protector and put it on. I have read reviews about lint being easily attached to the outside silicone type band, I have not had that problem. I have only charged it once since the 3rd of July. It is now the 8th and the battery is low. So it says about 5 days battery life. You have to leave your Bluetooth on on your phone which I typically don't do. But you also have a dongle it comes with to insert into your computer usb port so the fitbit can communicate with your computer and update to your dashboard via their website. The sleep tracker has also been very eye opening. You can get a premium service for that through fitbits website as well. Great little all in one.

I had the Fitbit Flex for over a year but unfortuately the clasp came loose and I lost it . I waited for the Charge HR to come out before replacing it specifically for the watch band style. I'm so glad I did! And the additioanl features have really helped me to understand what is going on with my body.
I love the start/stop workout function. I can see what happened during my exercise periods and how my heart rate was impacted during and afterwards. It has helped me push harder knowing how long I was spending in the fatburning, cardio zones, and peak zones. You are able to assign names to your workouts. I wish there was an eaiser way to sort and compare to see improvements over time, but I can scroll thru and compare which is helpful. I love that I have a more accurate burn which is extremely helpful if you are trying to lose weight. As long as you are tracking your food (I use MyFitnessPal) it is a no brainer.
I also like that the sleep function is automatic. I always forgot to tap the flex and didn't have good information.
The one opportunity I would note is the sizing. My wrist is 5 3/4" but needing to move it above my wrist bone during exercise, I'm on the last notch. If I would have known that I probably would have ordered the large.
Overall I'm very pleased and have recommended it many times.

I traded in my Fitbit Flex (May 2013) for the hyped up Fitbit Charge HR (March 2015) and have little to complain about. The pros: heart rate tracking improves my workouts, the sleep tracker doesn't have to be "notified" I'm sleeping, and the band comes in a sleek black that matches everything. The cons: I am unable to shower, swim and sometimes sleep in my tracker which limits my times to wear it when desired, it can sometimes get bulky and uncomfortable on my wrist under long sleeve clothing, the "laser green" light is distracting and bright at night, and sometime I miss switching out my band like I was able to do with my Flex. Overall, I am satisfied with this product. It does everything promised and helps with my fitness goals and exercise tracking. I would recommend this to anyone new to FitBit.

This was purchased as a gift for my wife, she loves it. The features are excellent. It notifies you when you reach 10,000 steps which motives you to walk more, it tracks calories and how many you have left to use. It also notes your water consumption and tracks your sleep cycles. Don't forget your heart rate is a given. It also offers the ability to challenge other fitbit friends to complete certain fitness goals. All in all its a great little device, glad I purchased it. Now I want one for myself.
