It does what it is supposed to do, for the most part. You have to have the app for it to sync up. And I've noticed it doesn't count all my steps

I had the flex fitbit first liked it but never remembered to turn the sleep mode on. Now I've upgraded my fitbit I love it. It keeps track of everything I need, plus setting alerts.

The Large size is a little too big, but it actually fits well, but the small would be a little too small for me. It does look large on my wrist (and as a woman I think everything looks huge on there) but it is smaller than some other activity trackers. I like the wristband and the readout is nice and bright, with the OLED display. The strap seems to stay on pretty well, but it has come off a couple of times which cause me to go into a panic mode looking for it. I know check it multiple times during the day to make sure it stays put.
I like that it has a "tap to view" feature, which I don't think was marketed much at all. You can double tap the "face" of the device and it will tell you...something. Whatever you want. I have it set to time, so when I double tap just the time and date come up. (There are also 4 different day/time displays which is nice). There is also the option to change what the button tells you, so you can change the order of what you scroll through. I have that set to steps first, then calories, then the rest. So I can tap for time and click for steps. Nice.
It is only splash proof. Can't shower with it, can't swim with it. Can't do anything that involves water pressure (probably because of the button on the side). I am a little bummed I can't wear it in the shower (which means I could wear it ALMOST 24/7) but I'm not worried about washing my hands or anything, and sweating shouldn't be a problem.
The Charge also automatically detects when you go to sleep or lack of it (hey I'm a teacher, it's long hours), so no more forgetting to put it into sleep mode. It seems fairly accurate, or accurate enough for me.
The alarms are the same as they were on the One (which is what I previously have and am comparing to) and I find them a nice way to wake up. No more BLARING ALARM.
It has caller ID which is a cool feature, but that's it. It's just cool. Not much functionality. You can't cancel a call or answer it or anything. I didn't expect it to answer a call (and it was never advertised as something it did) but I was holding out hope that you could cancel/hang up a call from it. Meh.
Now some cons. As a teacher, I use my hands a lot when teaching, and the Charge WILL pick up hand movements as steps.
All in all, I am pretty happy with it.

Bought this to replace a Fitbit Flex that stopped charging/working after a couple of years. The display is nice and is customizable to show different features. Also when paired with your phone, it shows caller id on your incoming calls. Also has a silent alarm feature which is nice. The new charger is much better that the old flex too. I think the only downside to this one would be that it is not waterproof like the flex which could be worn in the shower or pool. Hopefully the battery on this one lasts longer.

Have been using a Fitbit One for two years and appreciate its solid construction. I kept forgetting to attach it to my clothing in the morning and was bummed whenever I had a zero step day. Certainly not a tragedy, but I liked the accountability of keeping track when my step count slid.
I did not want or need the heart rate monitor in the Charge HR, but I did want a wrist fitness tracker with a display with the time and step count. So far I am liking the ease of use and comfort of the Fitbit Charge. Some reviews mention that the strap can come undone, but so far I haven't had that happen nor see how it could without a really hard tug on the fastener.
The one surprise for me is how much I like the caller ID feature. No need to stop what you are doing to know who is calling or in my case dig the phone out of a purse. Now that I am used to it I would look for the same feature again.
I don't know how accurate it is and don't care if it is off a few hundred steps as long as it is representative of how active I am during the day, it is surprising how sedentary one can be working at home in front of a computer screen. This keeps me aware of the effort I need to keep up my activity level to higher than a sloth.
The only feature I wish it had is the ability to set a vibration reminder if my steps need to increase a lot before the end of the day. But that is nit picking

Wear mine every day and night ! it has been very interesting to see how many steps and miles I was in a day at work and also interesting to see my sleep patterns. I would like for it to be waterproof tho as I am afraid to get it even damp. I have had none of the issues with irritation on my wrist that I have seen others talk about. I have also tested it to make sure it is not just counting my arm swings it is NOT.

Easy to read, silent alarm, watch, and number of steps taken all a click away. I only wish I could change the band color like the newer models that are coming out. Overall it is accurate and allows for me to be mindful of my daily movement. It syncs with Spark people which is my go to weight loss website. I considered getting the charge HR but felt I didn't need all the extra data.

I have worn my Fitbit continuously (except for showers :)) for almost six weeks. It has become a big part of my effort to become more conscious of my exercise opportunities. I can now check how many stairs I have climbed and how many steps I have taken easily. This motivates me to get out of my office and walk around, to go as far as I can for that cup of coffee or to visit the most distant restroom... all just get more steps and more stairs to meet my daily goal.
The sleep monitor feature is also interesting, but there isn't much I can do to improve that. But certainly I am less inclined to sit and think at my chair -- now I walk and muse over projects and plans.
The device itself is easy to set up, easy to use, and very light on the wrist. You can check your progress on the device itself, or get a better graphical display on any bluetooth compatible device (included dongle may be required). Battery life is excellent. I can go almost a week without recharging it, and it only takes a short time to fully charge. I find the engineering a marvel -- three accelerometers and an altitude sensor (plus more) are packed into this little device.
My ONLY wish is that I had bought the next model up with a heart-rate monitor. I am not sure why -- maybe it is just the inner geek in me that wants all the features. Overall, I am very satisfied with my Fitbit!

I have had the Fitbit Zip, which I lost after only 9 days. I contacted Fitbit and they sent another, then I found it. When I offered to return the replacement, they said to keep it. Later I lost it again and had given the other to my wife. Love the company. Liked the Zip product, but moved up to the Charge. I never have to worry about this one coming off from my pocket. It has a tiny screen that shows all of the usual info, plus it tracks my sleep. As I have sleep apnea, this is important for me. The battery lasts about a week before I need to recharge it. The charger plugs into any USB recharge port and takes about 15 minutes to get a charge. Now that I synched it with my iPhone, it vibrates and announces the caller ID across the screen. That is a nice feature, if you are driving or in a meeting. Sometimes my wife doesn't hear her phone in her purse. For women this might be even more useful.
The cost is not cheap if you compare to low cost pedometers. If you compare it to smart watches it is quite reasonable. If you start using the Fitbit, it is all about the metrics. When I lost my Zip, I was more concerned about the last two days of 17,000 and 18,000 steps not getting in the tracker app than the $60 cost of the device.

Had a Fitbit before but got rid of since I didn't like wearing a watch and it. This is a nice step in between. Seems mostly accurate with intuitive sleep mode and tracking. Alarm and caller id nice perk. Not a huge fan of the band but cannot think how else it could be done.

i upgraded from the charge b/c my charge stopped working after 4 days. FitBit support was VERY S-L-O-W in addressing the problem but BestBuy customer service was supportive. Had to upgrade due to availability - glad I did. I wish it was waterproof - who doesn't sweat when working out! Also it's bulky to wear while sleeping but I wanted the sleep-tracking feature. I also like the actual watch closure much more than the pin system on the charge & flex. Website is nice - weekly reports are a feature. Still don't have a clue how to add activity like swimming, etc though. Also, stair tracking is like a random variable.

I am extremely pleased with my FItBit Charge. I wanted a tracker that could potentially replace my watch, but most smart watches are just too bulky and ugly still. The charge displays the time with a couple quick taps and that is perfect. The device is extremely light. I hardly know I'm wearing it. The battery has lasted an average of 10 days between charges. The Charge syncs well with my Windows phone. The clasp is secure and works great with no problems. It is easy to put on and take off. I really didn't think this device would get me to change my habits, but I strive every day to get my 10,000 steps in and I am walking and exercising more than I have in many, many years. I'm sure that will pay dividends down the road. Get one of these!

I got this Fitbit to replace my old Flex (which stopped working after 1 year). So far, I feel like it is a big improvement over the old one. Having a clock on it is really convenient. As well as the fact that I can scroll through all the different stats without having to open the App like with the Flex. The App has also improved greatly and is easier to use.
The one downside that I am worried about is the fact that you cannot switch out the bands for it like the flex. I wore out one band for the flex since I wear it ever day and wonder how long this one will last.
Battery life is pretty good too. Mine lasts about 7 days and I use the silent alarm function every morning and have it set to constantly sync with my phone.

Provides great accountability. Love the app features- allows you to invite friends and to challenge and cheer them on. Seems to be fairly accurate. The sleep info is very interesting. Guessing I was averaging 3,000-4,000 steps a day due to my desk job. Since I have had my fit bit charge, I make sure I get my 10,000 steps each day! My only suggestions would be adding a watch battery feature like the Garmin, so you don't have to charge it each week and making it water proof so that you can swim with it on as well. Overall, great, user friendly product. Got one for my teenage daughter as well and we hold each other accountable! Band is very lightweight and comfortable.

My mom said my trick to staying trim was chasing my 3 young sons around and I now know that's it true! I'm walking 6000 steps on average and many, many flights of stairs, resulting in many calories being burned. Now I can use my fit bit to push me to the 10,000 daily steps I need. After a week of tracking and consistency, I'm happy to report I'm down 2 pounds! I love the battery life, the accuracy, the weekly averages, the way it buzzes when I hit 10,000 steps, and so much more! It has also synced very nicely with the app on my android phoe making it so simple and covenient to monitor my steps. I can't say how much I love it!

I find the Fitbit Charge to be a solid tracker. Simple to use, relatively easy set-up, and lightweight. One of my "complaints" would be the mild skin irritation that occurs if you don't wash your wrist regularly during prolonged use or dry it immediately after washing your hands. I try to keep my Fitbit dry as much as possible, however if one sweats a lot during certain activities, it becomes a little annoying to constantly dry the device throughout a workout.
I have heard and read a small number of users say the band loosens over time although I have yet to experience this.
All in all, I am satisfied with the tracker itself.
