Love it, but lost it!

Great product & wonderful for keeping tracking of steps & sleeping patterns. Loved getting up in the morning to see how many times I had awoken during the night and my sleeping efficiency. Battery life was great - only needed charging every 10 days. But be careful of how easily you can lose it... Had it clipped to my belt while running errands & it was gone by the time I got home.

I debated between the FitBit and the Bodybugg, but ultimately decided on the FitBit. It's a much more cost-effective tool (half the price of Bodybugg), and has some really neat features. I like that it counts calories burned, steps taken and miles walked. The sleep feature is fascinating - I found that I actually sleep a lot less time than I spend in bed, and wake up much more throughout the night than I imagined! I also like the little flower that lets you know how you're doing activity-wise throughout the day. The flower grows and gets more leaves the more active you are. If your flower only has one or two leaves, it's time to step it up! Very motivational! The website is free, unlike others, and it automatically uploads your information from the FitBit. The only thing I could complain about is that it could be easy to lose. I clip it on my waistband or put it in my pocket and haven't had any trouble, but I can see how it's possible to lose it. I would highly recommend it!

I've used this every day since I purchased it. Looking at it at dinner time and seeing that I have almost reached my 10,000 step daily goal gives me incentive to walk on the treadmill just a little longer to finish it up. LOVE the ability to clip it to my bra vs on my waist...so comfortable. And LOVE the fact that it automatically syncs to my online food calculator (Lose It!). A MUST HAVE for any 'numbers' person that likes to track.

Excellent step counter

It is a very accurate step counter. Measures flights of steps too and the calories burned. I don't think the sleep part of it is very accurate, It is suppose to measure when you are sleeping and when you are awake. Not sure how, if you don't move much in your sleep, it measures you as sleeping, even if you are awake. If you move around in your sleep, it will show you as waking up throughout the night.
But I didn't get it for the sleep option, I got it to calculate flights of steps taken, and overall steps taken along with the calories burned. For this, it is one of the best. I bought it to replace the Verizon one I used when my gym sold out and stopped sponsering me. I wore both for about a month, and the steps were very close to evenly matched.
I would recommend this product for someone who wants an accurate step counter.

Just got it 4 days ago. Works perfectly. I don't have any of the problems a couple people said about syncing, the web site is great and has all the functionality I need, and I know this will help me get healthier and lose weight. It's a marvel.
One thing I was concerned about... I'm a pretty hyper person. I bounce my knee a lot, for example. I was worried it might incorrectly calculate these as steps. I can confirm, in my case anyway, it does not.
Couldn't be happier.

Worth it if you are committed

The price tag on this little item can be kind of daunting, but if you are committed to losing weight the right way, it's incredibly helpful. I have my Fitbit synced with the Myfitnesspal app and it does an excellent job of tracking your daily activity and adjusting your daily calorie intake accordingly. With the two combined, I've lost over 20 lbs to date!
The battery lasts for a really long time, and it often syncs through my wifi without even being attached to the base station. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is serious about losing weight/being healthy/tracking your daily activity.

I have used a Fitbit every day for over two years. It's easy and comfortable to place on clothing and forget about! The variety of data collected (steps, miles walked, calories burned, etc) makes it a great exercise tool and weight loss incentive. Being able to track your personal data and calories eaten and burned on your personal website page makes staying healthy VERY easy. I lost 27 lbs. in 9 months without using any kind of specific diet. I just made sure that I ate (and journaled on the web page) less calories than I burned! It's simple math and it works! Daiky exercise is the key!

I decided to spend my reward bucks on this device just to track my cardio and I was hooked. Had for a month now. I am health cautious and do not enjoy keeping track of my workouts. I'm very result orientated and this little device has helped me excel in my performance. It logs all of my cardio and I have doubled my efforts to reach my daily goal of 10k steps. It uploads the stats online as soon as I walk in the door. It also keeps count on the device for easy viewing. I don't even have to think about it. On top of that the sleep monitor is extraordinary. I can now monitor my sleeping habits and find out how to sleep better and easier. Knowledge is power!

Best fitness gadget ever!

This gadget has boosted my overall health routine. Being able to track my steps and floors climbed is totally motivating. But the bonus is being to able to track my sleep. A separate sleep tracker cost about $100, but not only do I get the track my sleep but I also get to monitor my steps and calories burned. Great value for the price.

This is a must have for anyone looking to improve their fitness goals. Not only does this thing measure your steps and activity levels, it tracks your sleeping habits and patterns by wearing it on your wrist at night. You have to utilize the website for an even deeper look into your fitness lifestyle and trends. The website is free but also has a premium option. Well worth the extra fee.

With the fitbit, I've now lost 65 pound and currently weigh less than I did when I graduated high school 30 years ago. The fitbit provides simple, easy to work with data about your healthy activity. Doctors and health experts suggest walking a minimum of 30 minutes a day. With the fitbit, it provided you with your steps and helps you find reasons to be a little healthier. I now park the furthest away from the store for the extra steps. Typically I awl 5 miles everyday. This fitbit along with better diet changed my live. In the past 6 months, i've purchased a fitgit for every family member I have.

This product is insanely accurate. I don't know how they do it. The wireless uploads happen without effort and the battery life is extensive. the fitbit web service syncs with several other health sites and mobile apps, which is very nice.

This device tracks steps, miles, stairs climbed, calories burned and activity. It is much smaller than most like devices. FIT BIT has a great website that provides accumulative data. It can also be linked to other apps such as My Fitness Pal.

I've enjoyed using this, and check it constantly through the day. Everything about it is ridiculously easy to use. My only concerns are: does it accurately measure miles walked??. I assume that once you enter height and weight, it uses an average step length for your size. Also the sleep monitor doesn't really monitor total sleep......it includes time when you are still, and not asleep, as well as sleep periods. So when you have those nights when you lie there for 2 hours trying to fall asleep it counts those as sleep as long as you're not thrashing about. But that's really minor, it's way easier to use than measuring step length and whatever for a standard pedometer. Excellent, fun product. I hope it gets more people active..Makes ya want to get up and dance... Put down those remotes!!!!!

Easy Pedometer to hide under cloths

This is my second Fitbit and I love it. It helps motivate me to get those extra steps to keep up with my goals. The small, slim design fits easily under my clothing, much better than the bulky pedometer I used to wear.
I love the personal web page that one can use to keep track of stats and set goals. The web page easily tracks food and automatically calculates my calorie over/under based on my activity. They have almost every food I eat, even restaurants, so that takes the guess work out of figuring calories.
This is a great package deal. Not only do you get a nice step counter but all the extras too.

Pleased with Fitbit for walk, jog, and hiking!

Product works as expected and I'm pleased with the device. Fitbit works very well for my workout routine since I primarily jog, walk, and mountain trail hike for fitness. The sleep monitoring is pretty accurate. It doesn't accurately track how long you are awake if you keep your arm (where fitbit worn) doesn't move, but works well for tracking how many times you wake. The weblink, iPhone app, and sync functions work very well, and are flexible for setting personal goals. The database for logging food isn't very comprehensive, but again not a big deal for me. You can enter foods/meals if you like. Also, you may want to do research if you ride bike, eliptical machine, or do weight machines - may not be a good fit for this device, but can't speak from experience. I wish Fitbit offered a way to link with a heart monitor - that would be an awsome combo.

Not meant for heavy duty perspiration

I loved the IDEA of this little device.
I have been through 4 of them, so far = $400 +. 1st one was lost during my son's tantrum, the remaining 3 were destroyed to to perspiration.
Women are encourage to wear them in the center of sports bras, or the strap. They just could not handle my sweat at all.
The company should think about an otter case or replacement insurance for damaged devices due to wear and tear. I will stick to a pedometer from now on...I haven't got the extra money for four more of these babies.

This device tracks your steps, your stair climbs (how does it do that), and with the web based application, tracks your exercise, sleep patterns, nutrition, and more. The web based app integrates with other web based nutrition and health apps. I use myfitnessplus.com. The integration between the apps is the only thing that needs polishing. It works, but some parts of the app are awkward. Want to loose weight, track your exercise, keep an eye on your sleep hygiene? If you do, this is the device for you. It helps you compete with yourself to improve your health, and fitness. I recommend it without reservation.
