    Much thinner than I thought, or, was led to believe. The thing is not 1/2" thick by any means and does not do well with carpet.

      Thank you for taking time to leave us this review. We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the thickness of our Cleartex Ultimat. Our Cleartex Ultimat has a thickness of 0.09” and is for use on low to medium pile carpets (up to 1/2"). If you are looking for a thicker mat we do have our MegaMat and Glacier Mat Range which you might be interested in. Both of these mats have a thickness of 0.20” and are available for all carpet piles.
