I read the VC Andrews books years ago and also saw the original movie (and have fond memories of it even though it has been years since I've seen it). This was a quite good version of the story too. All of the actors did a good job with their parts and I am looking forward to the next film in the series from Lifetime. It's nice they are doing things like this. I haven't watched anything on Lifetime since they cancelled Blood Ties.

I and my best firend couldn't believe when Lifetime was redoing this and including the incest. Yes this guilty pleasure read is now all here and on screen for your guilty pleasure. WE found it hot and I watched the otter 2 and own the whole set. I had the pleasure last year of meeting Ellen Burnstyn in NY and such a sweetheart. LOVED THIS CAST AND REMAKE> This holds up on its own.

I and My Best Friend couldn't believe Lifetime was remaking and sticking to the book. Then announced it was doing the whole series. own all on DVD and worth every dollar. I love it. I also got to meet Ellen Burnstyn a few weeks later in NY and got to tell her I loved the film and Thank You she thanked me and smiled.

This remake of the story is more true to the book than the original. Ellen Burstyn was excellent as the grandmother! She was so believable as the mean matriarch! Heather Graham was awesome as the self-absorbed mother. Was creepy, thrilling and such a great remake!!! Loved it! The sequel is just as awesome! Can't wait for it to come out on DVD.

I remember the original. I watched it with 3 of my aunts. We all went out and bought it. I was looking froward to a remake and was very happy with this well done remake!

The movie left shills down my spin, customer servis was friendly. Product works. Wish best buy carried the sequle petals in the wind by vc Andrews.

this is a good interpretation of the book. It is way, way better than the 1987 version. this version doesn't gloss over anything.

Great movie and nuch better than the one that came out with Kirsty Swanson. This is a much better adaption

It's impressive to redo original movies. But at least try to out do the original. This movie had a horrible story line, nothing like the original. Movie was definitely not the same at all. I would never recommend watching this movie again. I'm a die hard fan of the original and Ill always remain that way!! Definately a low budget film!!
