Tom Hanks is at his best in this Robert Zemeckis film. Forrest Gump takes you through some major happenings in our US history, all involving the title character. Forrest is a little slow but does not let that affect him. A definite must see movie, even 25 years later.

Purchase and upgraded the Blu-ray Disc from my DVD copy. Came with the digital code. Haven't watch this movie in years, best version and experience I ever had watching.

Robert Zemeckis seems to have quite a few classics under his belt as a director, and this is definitely one of them. The always likable Tom Hanks gives a great performance, and we also have Sally Fields, Gary Sinise and Robin Wright. What's not to like?

3rd or 4th version of this I have owned and now with digital copy. I mean, it’s freaking Forrest Gump for Pete’s sake. One of the best movies of all-time in stunning blu-ray quality and an easy digital copy at my smart tv fingertips.

Forrest Gump is one of those movies where if you're channel surfing, you can't help but stop and watch. I actually had this on VHS, but wanted to add the HD version of the movie to my collection. It's just a great movie that never gets old.

Great movie. Legendary and Tom Hank's best IMHO. Problem with this set is the digital features. You have to go through Paramount and pick a vendor to use. I chose VUDU since I dont use iTunes. I have VUDU connected to my Movies Anywhere account so I can watch it on all my devices. This movie, of course, does not come over to all the other services. Only watchable on Vudu. Lame. They need to get rid of these exclusive viewing permission rules. Had the same problem with buying movies on Xfinity.

I price matched the 4K movie and got it for 14 bucks... can't beat that with Non-Holiday deals... I watched it when it was released in theaters back in the early 90's... still a Beautiful story! There is no reason not to own this movie.

Hanks' power as an actor makes us believe in Forrest. He also draws us into Forrest's mind and morality system. And he sets out a singular film persona who will be watched and loved as long as people embrace movies. An instant classic*

Who doesn't love Forrest Gump? The movie is so cute. Long but interesting. The bluray is the 25th anniversary edition! It has a few extras on it. I would definitely recommend it for Tom Hank fans. Or Gump fans! Lol

Never owned this movie before, and saw the 4K version was on sale. I would say you don't need the 4K version unless you find it same cost or cheaper than the BR version. A must have movie though, it's a classic.

This is an incredible film. I’m happy to have it in 4k UHD.

It took me way to long to upgrade this movie but it was well worth it. The steelbook packaging is amazing, Love the cover art on the front and back and looks great. Took way to long for this to be released in the US

This is an excellent movie. The picture and sound quality is pristine. It is a movie that the whole family can enjoy. This movie is a movie collectors delight and in steelbook format truly one to be desired.

Never will get tired of watching over and over again. Bluray deleted and exdented great absolutely fantastic. Recommend eyes close!!! Steel book for a long time to share with Family and Friends. Rodriguez J.

I love Forrest Gump so much, I have him tattooed on my leg. Also, these steelbook releases from Best Buy are awesome! Who would have thought this movie would ever be picked for a steelbook release? Keep it up!

Forrest Gump is a rare movie that succeeded on all levels. It was a box office smash ranking among the top five highest grossing movies of all time. But it was also a critical darling, garnering across the board praise and a truckload of awards. The movie became a cultural phenomenon, spawning cook books, quote books, a top ten soundtrack album and lines like "stupid is as stupid does" and "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get" have permeated our dialect. The movie has a nostalgic, feel good vibe thanks to the dimwitted Forrest's trek through 60's and 70's touchstone events. Underneath all those warm feelings lies a darkness. Bad things happen to just about everyone Forrest comes in contact with. His best friend Bubba is killed in Vietnam, his other friend Lt. Dan loses both his legs, his mother dies of cancer and his beloved Jenny dies of AIDS. Even the famous people Forrest comes across meet with disaster, President Kennedy & John Lennon are assassinated, George Wallace is shot and Elvis Presley dies young. There are superb performances all around. Sally Field is feisty as Forrest's mama, Mykelti Williamson is funny as Bubba, Gary Sinese as Lt. Dan is a perfect rough edged foil to Forrest and Robin Wright as Jenny portrays the confusion that young people of the times felt perfectly. While all those performances are of high quality, Forrest Gump is Tom Hanks' tour de force. He is utterly brilliant as Forrest. He is in virtually every scene of the movie and never once does he fail to astound. He becomes Forrest and makes you care what happens to him. Mr. Hanks deservedly won his second consecutive Best Actor Oscar for the role and cemented himself as the best actor of his generation and one of the best of all time.

What could be better than all of our favorite characters in 1 of the best movies ever, in a 25th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray/Digital Steelbook. Great artwork, extras, and video n audio quality. Must buy.
