This show is a great depiction of high school in 1980. The acting is terrific and most of them went on to have long careers. I didn't see the show when it originally aired, but if I had then I would have been angry that it was cancelled. I'm angry now because I only have one season to watch.

One of the best shows ever! It's a shame it didn;t get picked up past season 1.

Hard to find on line. Worth having a copy for the home video library. This show only had 1 season and is awesome.

Freaks and Geeks is possibly the most acurate portrayal of high school life. Granted, I wasn't in high school in the 1980's, it doesn't seem like very much has changed. This show is hilarious but has heart. It can make you laugh non-stop and then bring you to tears a moment later. This collection includes the entire series and a nice bunch of behind the scenes features as well as cast and crew comentary on every episode. It's great to see that Apatow and most of the cast here has gone on to great fame recently, but if only they were bigger back then this show may have lasted. Check out Undeclared if you enjoy this, it's a silimar show but set in college and starring some familiar faces.

If I had watched this show when it was acutally on air (when I was in high school myself), it would have changed my life...this I know to be a fact. As it stands, watching it now, it is still a definitive show that I empathize with on all levels. So, for anyone who is a freak or a geek, or wants to learn more about them, or wishes they were one- this is the show for you. Not to mention all the "hot budding career" action of several of our present day faves- Seth Rogan, Jason Segal, James Franco, Linda Cardinelli, even a little Ben Foster.

The Freaks are all dealing with the issues of the adult world coming at them fast, the Geeks are learning how to deal with High School. Anybody who has ever felt unpopular will identify with at least one of the characters in this show. This is not a rah-rah bugglegum cheerleader competition show. This is what life was like for the rest of us.

Though the Freaks and Geeks series on DVD costs more than many other television shows, it is certainly worth the cost. Few if any other shows are as effective at blending comedy and drama while creating believable and endearing characters. This is quite possibly the greatest show ever made, and it's a shame that it only lasted one season. This show is a must own.

This is the Box Set that shouldve been a series of box sets. The characters are set in the late 70's in a high school where the main focus is, like the title said on the freaks and geeks. this launces the careers of James Franco, Linda Cardellini, Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow. A must buy!

I thought this was a great show, I am a huge fan of Judd Apatow and I was told this show was awesome I am happy I checked it out

this was the greatest shows of the late 90's i saw when i was 15 in the fall of 1999 when it came on i was sad when the show was cancelled it's now one the best tv show box sets you can buy i recommendad it from the guys the made the 40 year old vergin

I never saw still series while it was on T.V. and only tired it after it came out on DVD due to a store clerk mentioning it in passing as being worth watching but am gland that I did. It’s worth the money.
