They appreciate the affordability, increased data, and reliable connection on the AT&T network. However, some customers have concerns with the app and activation process, and a few mentioned that it uses VoIP instead of a normal cellphone line.

Fast S+H,GREAT Price! Horrible Freedompop Service!

Best Buy = ZERO Complaints so far. FreedomPop =1000 Complaints so far! It's been over a week since I got this sim card. I activated the same day it came, Sat. 9/1. As of today, 9/10 I still have ZERO Cell Service from FreedomPop!! Their customer service and tech support are the absolute WORST EVER! I've done everything they've told me to do, 5 X Now! Each time a different rep had me do something different claiming the previous rep gave me the wrong setup info. The site says the sim is activated but again, I STILL HAVE NO CELL SERVICE! No talk, No text, No data! Just 2 different FreedomPop apps loaded on my phone, and Neither of them work! (Because the Reps and Tech Support can't decide which one is correct for my phone/area!) If I ever get the service working I certainly hope it's better than the service and support I've received so far!

Bought this to give my kid a phone with minimal data since she’s usually on WiFi. Drawback: the calling goes through a 3rd party app download which can be annoying. The app isn’t integrated as well as other apps, like Facebook messenger.

The sign in and activation process works pretty seamless, however their web portal is not great. The problem comes from the payment portion. although this card is pre loaded with 12 month of voice/txt, if you wish to purchase a few GB of data, that can be tricky. I was not able to edit/change or charge any thing. so at the end. if you just need talk and txt. it would work, and hopefully by next year, their payment portal would work or else there is not way to top it off or renew. so as of right now. it is good for dumb phone only.

Good value for one year. Not able to port to my last 1 year plan. Plan on their site is expensive . Using as a stand by service. Would not recommend as a main carrier for your phone service. Customer service for sales only picks up. Technical support never answers. So no help if you have any issues with service. Website forum support they ask you to go to is horrible and does not answer any query. If you raise a support ticket which I found out a very round about way, I got a response after more than a month and they closed without answering my question.

Good product for me. Cheap internet service but the VOIP is not good at all. For 1 year of service though this product is as good as it gets. I would buy it again.

It started with 200 min and 200 MB data. I could get 500 MB additional data by requesting friends. But, the plan was changed without notice. Now, the max amount of data is 250 MB. OK for very light use.

    Cheapest cell plan out there

I picked this up on black Friday so it was even cheaper than usual. The sim grants unlimited text/talk for the year, and 1GB data per month. It can be easy to blow through that data if you are not careful, but a little bit of curating of data usage on ios or android along with wifi usage and this is almost a nearly free cell plan. I have my father on this & recommend to everyone else. Yes, the price is inexpensive, but the coverage and service is good.

With the coverage of the AT&T network, unlimited calls, and unlimited texts this is a most affordable plan. Installed the SIM card in my new phone and was up and running in just a few minutes.

The correct setup process is 1th, insert the card, and then there is a chance to set apn. 2nd, the official website is activated. Finally, you can download and install freedompop, otherwise the app will report that the phone hardware is not compatible. This is the summary after my attempt. I hope everyone can operate smoothly! By the way, The bestbuy express is very fast! Thank you very much! B est buy !

Very cheap prepaid cell service, pretty reliable. Had no issues. But I don't think they are offering this kind of prepaid cards any more and their customer service was so hard to reach.

Anything and everything you need to get you up and running with Freedompop costs extra. Talking to a service person is extra. Voicemail is extra, transferring you current phone number to new phone is extra if you need help. 75% of anyone will need help! After I paid to have the help they assigned a different phone number to my account. Why? If you want inexpensive service this is great but be prepared to be frustrated before you can be happy.

Started on their very low advertised price. Somehow they have raised the $15mo to $30 now to $40 a mo and I haven't gone over the limits. Looks like some plan upgrade I didn't agree to. Do you need this kind of thing in your life?
