Do your home work if you end up using freedompop it can end up costing you a lot more money then a normal phone plan. Its only free if you make a huge commitment and watch every step you take on the app..?????????????

I purchased this basically for testing purposes and in order to enable a second phone. You can really have free cell service but it has its drawbacks. Anyways, the free plan works and allows you to make and receive calls and access the internet as well, being free service, what else could you expect?

If you're looking to save money and just need the bare necessities, this will not cost you anything going with the cheapest plan. But if you want to have good reception, then prob best to stick with one of the major carriers. But this is a good option if you do mostly texts and limited phone calls but don't rely on internet too much

It’s almost free phone service after all. The coverage and LTE speed is good enough for a backup phone. Just be careful when activating the account, remember to not select too many trial services otherwise your second monthly bill may surprise you.

This is an incredible value -- I'm getting unlimited calls/text and a monthly data allowance for less than $5 per month. Yes, you need to use their proprietary calling app, but the value here is unbeatable.

I bought this thinking it was free but before I activated it I watched a couple YouTube vids and it gets a lot of bad reviews. In order to activate it you have to use a credit card and im told they keep charging your card even when you tell them to stop. So I am going to buy a burner VISA card put about 10 dollars on it activate the card with that and see what happens but im not gonna use my main VISA card in case they overcharge it.

They sell you a sim card that's supposed to work at a great price. When the FreedomPop sign up doesn't work online they want to charge you $10 for "VIP Service" where they will activate it for you on their end. Using the online signup wizard didn't work for us, so it's either pay the additional money to get it working or be out $0.99. We opted to be out the $0.99 and will never recommend this company to anyone.

I've heard a lot of things about the FreedomPop MVNO, but if you can get past the initial setup and skip certain add-ons, you should be fine.
However, there is an ( activation plan to this "100% Free" service, and you can't pay for it with a reloadable debit card. If you're okay with giving a company that doesn't have a support system your real debit card, go right ahead.

Good Att prepaid service. Issue is only works as Voip via the FreedomPop app. Good to setup as a backup or kid's starter phone service.
