This is the perfect size freezer! I love that is has 5 shelves in the door when so many other freezers I looked at had only 4. I will say that it is noisier than I expected. I have yet to walk by it that it isn’t “running”. This is my first upright freezer, so maybe they all do that? I guess I expected to hear it cut on and the off like my refrigerator/ freezer does. I LOVE the green light at the bottom!! It’s like a night light in my garage! Sometimes I go to my car without turning on a light, and the freezer door is literally facing my cars drivers side door. No having to grope for the car door handle, ha, ha!!

We got this stand up freezer to replace our old one and its amazing so far! We love all the space and the light at the bottom so we know our food is still cold. We also love the look of it!

Awesome freezer, couldn't decide between a stand up or box type but decided on this on. Easier access and holds a lot of food. Much less space needed for an up right.

Needed a good big upright freezer without spending a fortune and this fits the bill!
Easy to organize-which after having a chest freezer for years is a real joy!
Plenty of room and with the reversible doors easily fit into the space we had.

I like the metal racks along with the metal one on bottom to put bags of ice I would need at times. It is very big so can hold a lot. There was some damage upon delivery not delivery guys fault. Was able to get compensations for small dents. So overall very happy.

This is my third Frigidaire freezer. Only reason I sold other two was because I needed a bigger one. Frigidaire make a good freezer. Only brand I would ever buy.

I’m extremely disappointed in this freezer. The shelves are too short to fit on the tracks of the wall of the freezer. The whole point of us getting this freezer was so we could keep it stocked up, but if we put too much on the shelves, they collapse! Once when I opened the freezer door one of the shelves had collapsed and a bunch of frozen meat came tumbling out landing on my feet! I have small dogs , one who is very small, old and frail and is always under foot. If she had been there when I had opened the door, I’m afraid to think what would have happened to her!

I’m thrilled with my new freezer

I’m very happy with my new freezer and the buying experience at BestBuy. First and foremost, I got a great price. BestBuy price-matched a lower price from a competitor and offered 18 months zero interest financing. Then they had it available to pick up 5 days earlier than promised, and it arrived in perfect condition. A store associate helped me load it onto my truck, and my teenage son and I easily unloaded it, unpackaged, and put it in place. It took several hours for it to reach freezing temperatures, but I guess that’s to be expected from a freezer this size.
Overall, I’m thrilled with my purchase. Frigidaire is a trusted and reputable brand, it is garage ready, there are plenty of adjustments for the shelves, the door has plenty of storage space, the LED lighting is good, and overall it has a massive capacity.

When I first received my new freezer, it ran very quietly. The freezer is only a month old and now it is loud. The freezer is still under warranty and I bought a 5 year extended warranty. I called the manufacturer. They told me..in the user manual there were descriptions of noices and what they would mean. They wanted me to decifer if the noice was coming from the fan or compressor. I told them Im not a mechanic, I dont know where the noise is coming from and the freezer is under warranty. Apparently, if they come and dub the noise as normal, I would be charged for a service call. I said I dont know if what Im hearing is normal or not. But it didnt start out sounding like that.
I told them, the freezer and warranty were unexpected expenses because my last freezer (that was only 2 years old) had been diagnosed with a failing compressor. I had to replace it. The sevice rep I was speaking to regarding my new freezer said, this was the policy . He went on to say, its the vendors who make that charge. We are just the manufacturer. He got upset. We got off the phone. Then I called back because I wanted to speak with a manager. I was put on hold for 10 minutes by the virtual operator. The virtual operator said the call volume was heavy and all service representatives were busy. The first time I called my wait time was 5 minutes.
A woman finally came on the line. She was typing very fast and loudly before I could tell her what was happening. I started to explain, but she kept typing. I said I wanted to speak to a manager. I also told her I couldnt hear her well, or even hear myself think, because of the typing. She had been typing when she answered the phone and had never stopped. When I told her about her typing, she stopped and hung up. I was automatically switched to a survey that said there would be 3 questions. The first question, "the company made it easy to resolve the problem". I selected the option, "I strongly disagree".
It then repeated the same thing, "the company made it easy to resolve the problem". Again I picked, "I strongly disagree". It said the same thing a third time, "the company made it easy to resolve the problem". For a third time, I selected "I strongly disagree". Then it abruptly hung up on me. I thought, unbelievable. So I called a 3rd time. This time the wait period was going to be 20 minutes. I hung up.
It was impossible to reach a manager.
They expected me to be able to decifer where the noice was coming from. They told me I would be charged for a service call if they came out and dubbed the noise normal.
It gave me the impression, that the manufacturer doesnt really stand behind their product. They expect the customer to act as a mechanic to tell them where the problem is, even though the product is still under Warranty..not even a month old..and on top of that, I bougt a 5 yr warranty! It gives the appearance they dont want to come out to support it.
I feel like the only thing I can do now is let the freezer run. If it keeps running, then I guess the loudness is normal? If it breaks down, then the noise wasn't normal and at that point, they would have to fix it under the warranty. I shouldn't have to do that. But this is the situation their policy creates. Whether intentionally or not.
I just know, I bought the freezer and the warranty. I cant afford a service call.
Because of my experience with the company, I dont know if the service rep who would come to my house would believe it was their job to manipulate things to make it seem like the the service falls under a service call and not the warranty and I would owe money. In other words, trust has been broken.
The trust was broken because: 1. what the first service rep said to me, regarding I should be able to decifer where the noise was coming from. The company was putting that responsibility on me. Then there was the possibility of a service charge..even though the freezer is only a month old and even after buying a 5 year extended warranty.
2. The rudeness of the 2nd second service rep. Answering the phone typing away and even when I was trying to talk. It gave me the impression, she wasn't listening. She wasn't approachable. While waiting, the virtual operator said the service reps would be approachable. She hung up on me when I asked her to stop typing.
3. The company makes it impossible to talk with a manager.
4. The phone survey seemed to repeat the same thing over and over and didnt move on because of the low rating I was giving. It was like, it was trying to force a higher rating.
So I dont trust this company.
I also find it ironic that when you call the manufacturer to talk to them about the product. Each call I made, the wait time increased. 1st call: 5 minutes. 2nd call: 10 minutes. 3rd call: 20 minutes. Doesnt a company know that when a customer has to wait that long, it communicates that there are a lot of customers calling that need to schedule a needed repair? That speaks volumes to a customer...it says that maybe the products aren't the good quality you had hoped for..because there are so many customers calling and it is causing the long wait times. Do companies, not realize this?
With that said, next time I need a new appliance Im going to call the service department of potential appliances Im considering. I want to see how long the wait time is in order to gauge the quality of the product. That approach may actually provide valuable insight and help to avoid situations like this.
As of now, I still don't know if my Freezer has an issue and if it will break down soon. I have a warranty. The freezer is only a month old. I cant afford a service call,if they dub it to fall under a service call instead of under my warranty. So what do you do?
