Stay away from Frigidaire Dehumidifiers. Customer service, which is outsourced, is NO help. Units only last one season. After shutting down for the winter and restarting in the summer the unit will only run and freeze up without any chance of working properly to dehumidify. Not used in a cold room.

The pump is worth it

The pump is well worth the added expense. The ones without the pump (e.g. garden hose) work intermittently at best. They can work well for a long time, then not at all. The pump solves this problem.

I've always used Frigidaire dehumidifiers and this one doesn't disappoint! My only complaint is it's a little noisy compared to the last one but it's working great!

Failed to push fluid through drain tube.

Preinstalled pump did not have enough power to transfer fluid through drain. My setup required the pump to push the fluid 10ft above suction line to a standpipe. This humidifier completely failed to perform it design functional specifications.

It seemed to be a good value and works as expected. It is very difficult to get the length of the cord that mad a big difference for us. It needs to be put on the specs.

Do not buy - stopped working after 11 mo

The one I bought started freezing up after 11 months, which I had cleaned the filter regularly (was the first troubleshooting question). I called and got some troubleshooting steps which included unplugging and letting sit for some time. After trying numerous things, I reached back out to customer support as it was still not working properly. I was put on hold and then got disconnected. I then tried reaching out via chat, which the support rep SAID A NEW UNIT would be sent to me but I needed to fill out a form that I would receive via email. I filled out the form and submitted to the email address provided, which stated 10 business days to respond. 30 days later there was still no update on the status so I followed up and was told I would no longer be getting a replacement unit as it was past the warranty.

Terrible dehumidifier. Constantly freezes up and the pump broke after less than a year of use. Save yourself the trouble and buy something else

Had two of these and they both lasted approx 2 years. Broke within weeks of one another. I cleaned filter all the time, took good care of it etc. Will never again buy this brand.

After only 2 years the coils have begun to continuously freeze. This indicates a coolant leak. Its a shame I only got 2years of service out of this unit.

If your dehumidifier displays an error code, try to Unplug the unit and plug it in again under normal operating conditions. If the display reads "EC" , check the following operating conditions: The outlet voltage should be 115 volts, and the surrounding temperature should be in the range of 41 °F to 96 °F.
