Just got back from a beach vacation and this little camera is great. Nice crisp pictures , simple operation but with enough settings to get the perfect shot for what ever conditions you may be shooting in. Water proof if you follow the directions and a good battery life.

For the price and the frequency as well as the manner in which it'll be used, this camera more than meets my needs. I purchased it just days before heading to the Carriebean as we were planning on doing some snorkeling. Last trip I tried using disposable underwater cameras and it they turned out to be a lost caused. I decided I needed something that was durable, could capture, underwater stills as well as video, not set my pocket book back and would feel over protective off. (Mostly because I use my iPhone for all my general camera and video needs) This camera worked perfectly for me during the trip and I now have wonderful photos from our snorkeling adventures. Sine we also have a pool, I liked the included float strap as we can let it float around the pool and people can grab it and take shots. Due to price point I'm not exactly panic about it being drop, ruined, etc etc. I definitely recommend the additional memory card for expanded storage as the built in memory won't allow for much. If you looking for solid camera, with underwater photo and video capabilities but don't want to leap into a go-pro or otherwise I would definitely recommend this camera. The reason for the 4 stars rather than 5 is because if your looking to really capture the color and brilliance of fish and otherwise this camera does tend to lose the colors the deeper you go. Where as with a go-pro you could add filters etc to bring back the lost colors.

My husband and I needed an affordable waterproof camera for our vacation and we were not disappointed! Took very nice pictures above and below water. Was easy to use. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

I bought this camera because I like to take picture while I'm camping. As this is waterproof (to a specific depth), I don't have to worry about taking it on a canoe, swimming, or in the rain. NOTE: in order for the camera to float, you have to attach the buoyant strap! The camera doesn't have a high number of megapixils, but you trade that for it's ruggedness and water/shock resistance. It still takes good pictures and video and has some nice features on it like color highlighting. I would definitely get this again!

Bought camera to take on overseas trip. The body of the camera is solid and it is waterproof. Instructions that came with camera were not easy to understand and eventually had to go online to get more detailed instructions (though someone who has photography knowledge would understand). Camera took good pictures but many could have been better had I known how to use the different shooting modes.. For instance, I took photos under water - not the clearest or best photo - because I wasn't sure I was using it correctly under water. I am still trying to understand all the features of the camera. Not the best camera for a beginner.

It is easy to carry and handle , I take it on my hikes so I'm not carrying my dslr..good pic quality and wifi built in . Water resistance and durable invade if any drops

I love this camera. Not because its waster proof but it's light and easy to use. Takes great pix. Easy to download pictures on the computer too.

I haven't taken it snorkeling yet but it appears that it was built well to keep the water out. It is easy to use and takes very good pictures.

We bought this for snorkeling pictures while on vacation in Mexico. We didn't have long to practice with it, but we found this camera easy to use and the pictures came out perfectly. This was a very popular camera with many families having one just like it

We took this camera on a trip to Hawaii. We used it for the requisite sunset shots and more! It takes cool underwater pictures- we did snorkel only but love the way they turned out. We like to travel so this camera was an easy choice. It's water proof, drop proof, and cold proof. Looking forward to using it skiing next!

I needed a new camera but since I am a biker and a family man and we like to fish and enjoy the outdoors I wanted something rugged. This camera does it all, water proof, dust proof, shock proof and it takes great pictures! And yes we tried it by dropping in the lake we were fishing on and even taking a photo underwater. The included strap keeps it floating so no losing it on the bottom. And add one more cool option, WIFI. Means I can download my pictures with out running a cable to the PC. All this and still small enough to go in your pocket.

Researched waterproof cameras for an upcoming trip. Found a few 'top' brands. Unfortunately, ran out of time and went to Best Buy the night before our trip. Found 2 types and selected this camera. I am very happy that we did- it was perfect for adults and kids to use. Excellent quality, ease of use and good price.

This camera is easy to operate. It's lightweight and takes clear pictures above and below water. The video capability is nice as well.

Bought my daughter this camera for the summer as she will be working at Yellowstone National Park. It's small enough for her to carry around on hikes....waterproof in case she gets caught in the rain or drops it in a puddle, and shatterproof if it slips out of her grasp and hits the ground. Takes fantastic pictures, as we have been getting all sorts of beautiful pictures of wildlife, sunsets/sunrises, and the picturesque mountains, geysers, mud pits and often seen horribly color coordinated visitors from the far east.

My grandson is a Boy Scout and would like to take photos on his camping/hiking trips. They are not permitted to take phones, so he requested a camera. This camera got some favorable reviews. Although I would have liked greater than a 5x zoom on the camera the waterproof and shock resistant properties seemed more important for this young, active user! He reports it is easy to use and enjoyed documenting his recent camping excursion.

This camera is extremely user friendly even if you are not experienced with all the high tech equipment these days. Awesome quality underwater pictures and movies. We took it snorkeling to puerto rico for our honeymoon and the camera never let us diwn! Definitely recommend ad I'd great quality for very good price

I needed a waterproof camera for vacation so I started looking through them all. I use my phone for almost everything but wanted the flexibility and this camera did not disappoint. I got great pictures of the family playing in the pool and the ocean and also when it was raining out with no worries that it would break.

good size easy to handle, takes good pictures, like the ideal it more water proof.

This is a very solid waterproof camera. Takes pretty good pictures. For the price, it's a great buy. We bought this to take on a cruise and it was a great pickup for under $200. Has some issues depending on how dark it is underwater, but Lightroom was able to bring out some of the pop. Battery seems to last long. We would charge it over night just to be safe but it is a good camera. Not as good as a DSLR, but that's not what this.

My son loves to waterski and we love to capture the memories with his waterproof camera. Bottom line: quality pictures with a go-anywhere camera.
