What and awesome entry level mirrorless camera. Takes incredible sharp, artistic pictures. Learning curve for sure. Looking forward to an in depth book about using the camera. Best Buy buying experience on line and in the store is excellent.

This is an entry level FujiFilm X Series camera which uses the same lenses from the X line that have much more professional features and capabilities. If you are a beginning photographer, you will appreciate the small size, light weight, and full menu features from FujiFilm. Advantages include the standard lenses, and more simple Bayer sensor which I find is forgiving on faces and skin tones compared to the more advanced X-Trans sensors in this line. I am getting great color and details on 8 by 10 inch prints, with my only complaint being the slightly slower auto focus of this camera. You can either pick this up and shoot automatically, or leave it on manual, saving to raw file types if you are more advanced. This is not great for some action shooting unless you shoot manual including focusing. The video is great at full HD video as it really not going to be useful at only 15 fps when shooting UHD. The stills are colorful, the touch screen tilts and is great for blogging. This is a great step up from a camera phone and a super value for the price.

I have absolutely no plans to quit my job and become a professional photographer. I have read a lot of reviews from people who say this camera is okay but compared to my $$$$$ camera, it lacks. Really? Good for you. This camera is honestly great for the price and it takes magnificent photos. I like the ease of use of features it already has programmed. If I want I can really customize my photos, but I’m not all that interested in taking the time to do so. Video isn’t that good, but I didnt buy it for that. I’m very happy with my purchase and I would definitely recommend this camera for anybody just wanting to take awesome photos.

At $399 for this kit, its probably one of the best deals you can get for photography. Reviewers complain about the 4k only being 15 fps but this is not targeted at 4k shooters anyway. You’re still getting Fuji’s great image quality.

It’s a pretty good camera for beginners & the price isn’t too bad. The camera body itself looks retro, which is appealing. Battery life is very good too.

I bought this camera so I could compare the entry level cameras from Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sony (I already had the other 3). My goal is to decide which camera system to build on with lenses and more advanced bodies as my skills improve. I find this camera the most difficult to use and the lens availability is not as good as the other 3. I really like macro photography and Fujifilm doesn’t have an inexpensive macro lens like the other 3 do. I also like wildlife photography and Fujifilm doesn’t have an inexpensive 70-300 mm lens (Sony doesn’t either). Fujifilm only has a 50-230 lens which is not long enough. So I may not keep this camera.

I love this!! Provides a good balance of having the functionality of my SLR combined with the portability of a standard point and shoot. Decent picture and video quality. Only thing I don’t like that much was their software for iphone for transferring photos and a portable remote. Overall, a solid buy!

This is my entry into the DSLR/mirrorless world. I love it so far. The only drawbacks are the somewhat slow autofocus and the small grip.

The camera is light and has the option to use the viewfinder or screen. The camera has several options, you can use the automatic function to start. I would recommend the camera with the caveat you need to spend some time getting familiar with functions.
