    Cool Camera for DSLR photographers

This is a great camera for people that are used to dealing with an SLR that want the size and convenience of a compact point and shoot. You don't always need, or have access to, the heavy artillery of a bulky SLR camera. Sometimes you just want the convenience of a compact. The main complaint I see about this camera is the fact that the zoom is manual and that you have to twist the lens to turn it on and off. If you're primarily an SLR user, this isn't a problem. If you're primarily a phone camera user this could be irritating for you. You will need 2 hands on the camera for zoom. This is normal procedure for SLR users, seems to be irritating for others. The camera is very long on style. It looks cool. It''s built well. Shoots decent video as well and has surprisingly good audio for the tiny stereo microphones it has on board. So I really like this camera. It works well for me for a quick grab and shoot camera. The photos are great, video is good. I'm interested to see if Fuji continues to make this model after all the "Oh my God the zoom is manual and the Lens is the on off switch" reviews. Great camera I seriously like it.

Delightful camera! Best features of an SLR put into a compact case which fits easily into your pants pocket. No longer a need to wander around with a bulky SLR hanging on a strap around your neck. Takes about 15 minutes to get used to the unique method of turning it on but quicky becomes second nature. This is my 3rd compact Fuji camera and all are wonderful but this is the best. Very high quality photos and video even in dim lighting conditions with no flash.

My new camera has problem of dis functioning of selector for flash and exposure compensation. Best guy's return/exchange policy I'd too short. There is no enough time to play the sophisticated functions and find the problem.

A stunning design, IQ closest to the Leica images.

I have upgraded to XF1 from Sony NEX-5. After using Sony for couple years my camera was damaged and lost in the service. I was looking for camera that would not destroy my budget and would come close to the pro camera images. My 4MP Olympus E-10 was hard to replace with anything on the market for last few years. Now XF1 has met my expectations, for around $500 with 3 years accidental warranty from Best Buy, Sony try to beat that!....I am so happy with the IQ and portability of the camera. Leica was too expensive for me to invest and larger cameras are no use for me since I am carrying iPhone 5 all the time in my pocket. XF1 is the beauty and quality in one package. I can't wait for the next version. Fuji XF1 rocks big time! Check all the reviews around the internet but make sure you compare images with the competitors before you discard this one based on somebody's negative opinions. 12MP of great image will always beat 20 or 24 Megapixels of overinflated cameras. XF1 is the best of the pocketable cameras I have tested so far. Classic look, well built, quality... but still made in CHina?, IQ incredible, features and menus you will find so easy to use, ....and pictures you will want to print any time you take them. Great job Fuji!!!!

I had been looking for a compact camera to use when I don't feel like lugging around my Canon DSLR. And when I saw that Best Buy put these guys out on clearance for $169.99 I couldn't say no. That's $300 off the MSRP! I was previously considering the Canon S110 but this was nearly 50% cheaper and has a faster lens (f/1.8 vs f/2.0) and slightly larger sensor. I consider this a steal! My ONLY gripe is that due to the somewhat smaller sensor (at least, compared to a DSLR) you start to get noticeable grain even at the lower ISOs. But that's to be expected, even with a premium compact camera. Look, if you're looking for the absolute best compact that your money can buy, you're looking at spending at least $650 on Sony's RX100 or even more on their RX100 II. But for a clearance price of $170? This camera absolutely gives you the best bang for your buck. Even more so than the Canon S110. Go grab it from your local Best Buy quickly, I'd be absolutely stunned if they didn't sell out of these. Plus the camera just looks sexy. If James Bond were a photographer, this is probably the camera he'd use.
