My job calls for heavy scanning. This machine is so simple, so easy. Always works. Never jams. Oh and if you scan a document that the software app believes a problem exist, it provides you an option to keep it and continue scanning. I can't say enough positive about this scanner.

I got this to replace a Neat Desk scanner after they stopped letting me use the scanner without a paid subscription. This is the perfect device. Fast and easy install, no hassle. This scanner scans super fast and the included software makes sending to a file or email effortless. I don't generally use the WIFI scanning but that piece works way better than any wireless scanners I've used in the past. Very easy to set up.

The cost is a little pricey, but I'm very happy I spent the money for a quality scanner. It is easy to use, setup, and takes little space. Originally, I wanted a scanner that could feed 100 pages.; the ScanSnap's feeder only takes 50 pages. But it is easy to add more pages to a document that has already been scanned and it's easy to delete any pages within a document that has been scanned. The software is similar to PowerPoint where the panes are on the left side of the document. This makes it easy to scan more pages in and/or delete pages, because you can click on the pane where you want to add a page and the software will ask "below or above the highlighted page". So far I haven't had any problems.

I originally bought a brother and kept dealing with paper jams, so I ended up buying this Fujitsu Scansnap and its incredible. No more paper jams and super fast and easy to use.

This is a very good scanner. I have been using it heavily for a while now and it has exceeded my expectations. I am using the scanner in a home environment, but I have done "years" worth of scanning (at least for me) in the last several weeks. The iX500 is fast and produces high quality (adjustable) results. The capability of the scanner to feed reliably and with virtually no jams is remarkable. I am using the scanner with a separate product, DEVONthink Office Pro, but the software that comes with the scanner (ScanSnap) is actually pretty darn good. It allows for fairly easy selection of scanning settings and allows the creation of various scanning profiles that can be quickly selected. I switched from an older Fujitsu single sheet feed scanner, and I was surprised at how much I am enjoying the automatic document feeder and the ability to scan both sides of a page at the same time. Bottom line: This is one solid performer.

I have been wanting to get this scanner for a long time! It scans quickly, duplex, color, and works wirelessly as well as wired and with pc and Mac. I finally decided to buy it when it was on sale and no interest for 18 months! I am finally getting rid of all my "paper"! I highly recommend this scanner. Very easy to set up and use.

This scanner is small, but well built and durable. It comes with the easy to understand scanning software, and installs easily. It was recommended by my IT guy, who has installed these for many doctors offices and lawyer offices.

This scanner was recommended on the Simplify Days website. I have two flatbed scanners and this Fujitsu was pricey so I did a lot of research before I took the plunge and bought it. I am so glad I did. I love that I can put a stack of paper in the feeder and the scanner will feed them through smoothly, straightening the image, scanning the backs if needed, and it does it quickly. I started out scanning my taxes this year and it was so simple and quick that I scanned all the prior years I could find. I also used the--not sure what it's called--plastic sheets to feed through small items like receipts. And it's got a small footprint. It's maybe 12x6 inches when the feeder and the catch tray are folded. The software is great and lets me program where to send documents, to my computer or to Evernote. I love this scanner!

If you are looking for high speed, automatic, duplex scanning, wireless capable, USB 3.0 (works with 2.0 also), then look no further. We scan many different sizes of paper, types of paper, etc.. This thing has not failed us yet. Wireless works but expect some delay, for occasional scanning wireless would be fine. Wired via USB 3.0 or 2.0 works flawlessly for us and you can customize the software to fit just about any scanning need.

I've had a Fujitsu ScanSnap since seeing one in use at my doctor's office. I bought it maybe 7 years ago. While re-arranging, I did something really stupid and it accidentally dropped on the floor. I was so angry with myself! I had no idea what to do but I knew having it fixed was probably not an option. What to do?? As luck would have it, I saw a new in box "Neat Desk" scanner at a Goodwill auction. I picked it up for under $100 and thought cool! I thought it would replace my ScanSnap and everything would be all better. I thought wrong. After about a month or two, I was missing my ScanSnap pretty badly. The NeatDesk system confused me; it seemed to require that I go through a bunch of steps to get what I wanted including having the scan go to the site for processing or something and I wasn't comfortable with that. So I used Windows Fax & Scan utility. But it wasn't the same. I made the decision to replace the ScanSnap with a new ScanSnap. I'm so glad I did. The features are easy, setting up WiFi (something the old ScanSnap didn't have) was easy and it's kind of cool that I can put something in the scanner then scan it from another room! I'm totally delighted with my new ScanSnap and recommend it to anybody who wants exceptionally good scans every time. I like that I can set the scan size instead of being limited to one of three sizes like the NeatDesk. It's compact footprint, great range of features AND WiFi are great improvements but the scan quality is probably the best I've ever seen from any scanner including flatbed. I give the Fujitsu ScanSnap a much-deserved five stars for it's awesomeness and affordability.

I just re-opened my consulting business and needed a scanner. I tried another brand but was not fully sold on its ability(ies) to perform, hence I purchased the scansnap ix500 and have been elated. Fast, many features, easy to learn to use and compact. I would recommend to anyone who wants to scan almost anything from receipts to business cards to photographs to documents, etc. What an absolute pleasure...

This scanner is awesome and fast and NEVER jams. Love it

I wanted to throw out a lot of paper documents, I've accumulated over the years. After reviewing a lot of scanners online, I decided upon this one. After several hundred pages copied - no regrets so far. Works well with windows 10, the software does a great job of orientating the copy, however, once in a while I get software glitches which require a redo. It's expensive, but probably worth the money due to its' speed and ease of use. Operating instructions somewhat lacking, For example I had to go to their website and search for a way to copy longer documents(hold down the scan button until the blue light blinks). The automatic color detection setting is not reliable, so I just leave it on the color setting which works best for me. Remember this is software driven- so it can be glitchy, for example I've copied a store receipt, only to have it appear 81/2x11 instead of the original size,then after turning it off or trying again later, it would copy to it original size. Haven't used all of the software features but I'm pleased with the quality of the copies and the speed of the machine.

I researched various scanners before making the purchase. The Scan Snap exceeds my expectations (after installation). The only issue I had related to getting started. I downloaded the software and hooked up the unit as suggested but the instructions to actually scan something weren't there. I stumbled across the icon on the task bar, right clicked and then I was ready to start. This scanner is absolutely wonderful. I am scanning tax returns with various sized documents, and the scanner accommodates the various sizes without any issues. I also am moving our household to a paperless environment so I scan almost daily. The device is great. I highly recommend it.

Fast, reliable and easy to use! Folds up when not in use to allow for more desk space. Very convenient

I bought this to replace a scanner with software bundle of another band which I have used for six years. The reason for the switch is the old unit was very slow to process scanned items, and slower yet to do it's cloud backup. That system had an annual fee of over $100 for the cloud backup and storage. That backup is very important in case of catastrophic data loss on the PC. The new scanner can be set up for use with several different configurations possible. I use One Drive to file documents if all types. Scanning, labelling and filing is very fast, and I can burn a backup to BlueRay disk occasionally to enable ultra safe archiving. This scanner and software is a great system to clear the paper clutter and enable remote access to information.

I use one of these at work to scan large numbers of reports. Because of the great quality and ease of use, I splurged at Christmas time to buy one for my home. I'm looking forward to getting rid of file cabinets full of papers! I might even use use it to start a side business as don't all of us have too much paper in our house!!

I have been eyeing this scanner for a really long time, but finally decided to get it because I'm going totally paperless in my home office. Why didn't I get this sooner??? Very easy set-up. Everyday as soon as the mail comes in, everything that needs to be filed gets scanned and shredded. This has been a life-saver.
