The final season in the GOT saga. Let's jump in; Pros; 1. Good quality audio and video, compared to the aired version that was criticized for being to dark, the Blu Ray version is just right 2. Lots of character plots and definitely a large amount of both physical and CGI work in the sets and FX. 3. Some surprises, i'll let those be a surprise 4. Each disk has some bonus content, make of it what you will, some is great and brings more to the game, others bonus features, not so much, so a mixed bag of bonuses Cons; 1. Short, with only 6 episodes it hardly qualifies as a "Season", more like a mini-series 2. Really cheap packaging, unlike the previous seasons that typically came in nice boxes with covers and extras, and those weren't even the limited edition ones, making the season 8 seem short, rushed, poorly presented and for any collector, a disappointment to the end of the collection. 3. I am guessing this is why they rolled out all these different $250-$350 dollar "Complete 8 season sets", and to a huge collector like myself, i am growing tired of this, constant repackaging of series. it brings to mind the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies, were it seemed like every other year some "new" remastered version came out vying for your money, same goes for the Fast and Furious series, Terminator, Star Wars and a host of others. I find this to be a despicable way of repacking the almost identical material and charging a premium price for it, so you may see a lot of season 1 thru 7 series collections or individual seasons pop up on ebay and other sites for those who want to get the newest complete 8 season set without having another particle set laying around taking up space, on a positive note, this gives people who dont want to spend a fortune a great way to get the series second hand, so a bit of a silver lining. and with that, i say its worth getting regardless of being a collector or just someone that wants to SEE the last season.

All true fans are aware of some of the issues with the storyline for the final season. But this is without a doubt once of the best HBO series. If you have all of the other seasons - you have got to complete your collection with the 8th and final season. This is a series that will be missed.

Without spoiling too much, I thought the writers of the show rushed the last season. All other seasons dragged on and things they should’ve focused more on in this season were rushed. Still a great series so only docking 1 star

If you enjoy GOT you need to complete your DVD set with this final chapter. I have thoroughly enjoyed this production and own all eight seasons. Plenty of action and final resolution for some of the characters in the show. Sorry this great show had to finally end.

I was all prepared to dislike this last season of GoT but I found it satisfying entertainment. In spite of the disappointing story line I fount it to be ok. However, the 4k version is much clearer than the blu-ray. Contrast in blu-ray is lousy and the price of 4k exorbitant.

I'm slowly catching up watching on the series, there are 8 seasons to watch. but i buy the steelbooks packaging because of their uniqueness and really like the looks on each one of them. highly recommended to collect. i have all the complete 8 seasons in steelbook.

Final piece of the Game of Thrones HBO series, short season by episode count and a little off-putting by the ending, but when there are characters with visons of self-importance and belief of being chosen to set the world right....well, someone is going to get killed.

If you're a GOT fan, of course you'll be buying this season to finish your collection. It was a good season, but I'm sure as you've heard from a majority of the fans as the season unfolded, it seemed rushed. Other than this, the visuals/scenery and extras were great.

The ending is really good and beautifully done.Ignore the negative reviews , if you enjoyed the series the finale was great and possibly not what was expected .The entire 8th season is the finale and delivers plenty of action and fantastic story telling.

Despite how some of the fans feel, I think this was a very good season until the end... The series just didn't end on a high mark, which is disappointing since this has been regarded as one of the greatest tv dramas of all time. Still worth watching, regardless.

One of the greatest shows in recent history in my opinion. Some will always want a different way of doing things but that is with any show out there, enjoy what they put out or turn it off :)

I don't know how to review this really. The season, well, I can write an essay on all the things wrong with the last season of game of thrones but I'm sure you've heard it already plenty of times. I accept your ending, as long as it makes sense! Anyway, I really didn't want to buy season 8 but there's a few points that made me ended up getting it. I own all of the steelbooks for the series. All though I'm not happy with how the story went, on the technical side of things, this season was impressive. And the streaming quality was awful so this being the first season they release in 4K and with the beautiful direction, photography and set design, plus special effects, at least it will be a feast for the eyes.

A lot of people were disappointed in this season finale. They wanted someone else to win the throne but the end makes sense to me, I enjoyed it. Now I need to put aside a week (or two) to watch the entire 8 seasons in order from 1-8. Oh boy.

Won't mention the ending, but the series came to a somewhat untimely end. For those of us who loved this story it doesn't quite answer all the questions, as usual, but the fantastic scenes make up for it, I guess. Wouldn't have missed it!

The Song of Fire and Ice comes to an end. It was a good end but having only six episodes for the season, it felt very rushed in parts while some of the battle sequences seemed to drag on too long. Overall, it was a great story from start to finish.

The visuals in Game of Thrones are outstanding. This was a good ending although I would have liked it to go another way and it felt as if the final season was rushed to be done. Either way, if you have the series than you must get this.

This set contains three discs with all six nail-biting (hand-throwing) episodes of the final season. Although the season seemed too short, the set has extra features that let you appreciate the hard work that was put into the making of the show.

The entire steel book collection is in 1080p, then the last season is in 4k. I actually can't watch it, but thankfully it does come with digital versions, however, they do not include the behind the scenes content like deleted scenes, etc.

Fast delievery. No matter what the end will be in this show it's still a victory for fantasy genre to have conquered the attention of so many people and with such an amazing cast , costume design, artists behind it and budget.

Not my favourite season though. Left out some characters' end story or didn't really bring to a finish. Final episode seems hurried-like they just wanted to wrap it all up with as quick an explanation as necessary. Hoped for a BIT MORE.
