Skeptical when purchased but does what it says it will - tried vibrate initially but did not phase my barkers - ended up setting the level at 2 for large Am Bulldog and vibrate or 1 for smaller Chow/Shep mix - auto rise was traumatic to the smaller dog and I think my larger one cursed when we used it - seemed the auto rise didn't allow much of a learning curve so start with the levels and build up as needed - overall, after a couple of uses, just putting the collar on deters barking for both

What I like about this bark collar are that it is 1. Rechargeable, and 2. waterproof. That means a lot when you have an active dog. You have multiple setting options, so you don't have to feel like you are electroshocking your dog so bad. One thing is getting the collar to fit right. If you have a dog with longer hair or a scruffy neck, it can take some trial and error to make sure the contacts stay around the vocal cords, without either being too loose or too tight around the neck.

I have tried 4 different types of collars to deter my dog from barking and this is the first one that actually makes him stop! Multiple settings to choose from and when you turn it off it tells you how many corrections it has had to make since turned on. Definitely would recommend this to anyone with a vocal dog.

One of my dogs is a nuisance barker when i'm not home so, rather than be evicted, I decided to give this collar a try. I previously tried a cheap one I bought off Amazon but it was unreliable and also gave too many warnings before a decent strength shock would come through. This collar is far superior! Being able to have complete control over the settings and shock level means I can set it to just the right level to prevent her from working herself into a barking frenzy when someone walks past the window. It has helped immensely and she rarely barks at all anymore. It is also reliable and doesn't activate if my other dog barks (which would sometimes happen with the cheap one) or if she makes other non-barking sounds. She now resorts to "grumbling" a lot instead of barking so she has obviously figured out the cause and effect relationship. I would definitely recommend this collar to anyone who shares their home with a nuisance barking dog. I guarantee your neighbors will appreciate it too!

I have a small dog that barks when every blade of grass moves in the yard. I purchased this collar after I had exhausted all other options. It has a vibration only setting that works well for her. That's all she needs, a little encouragement! This collar works wonders!!! It's amazing!!! I would definitely recommend it!!

Does a nice job and doesn’t take dogs long to get it! Only issue we have had is that it must be in just the right position on the dog to be effective.

My dog figured this collar out in one day. He would only bark once for the vibration then just whine after that. The first shock he received really got him squalling on level one. I only use the vibration now and he seems to abide by that.

Long hair on the dog can be a challenge. My American Eskimo has very fine long hair but the probes do get down to his inter fur and vocal cords

I bought this for my 2 year old dog because he started barking excessively at the tv whenever an animal was shown. This triggered my 4 month old puppy to go into a frenzy and bark also. He immediately stopped barking at the lowest setting. So now there is peace and the puppy won't learn bad habits.

This product has worked very well on my dog. Not too much detail on it but it gets the job done.

Use this for our boxer/dogo mix who is VERY loud with her barking. It's been really helpful to get her to learn when it's appropriate to bark, and when it's time to be quiet.

Well yes and no is my answer.it has a long lasting charge.Only problem is the collar is already tight and it still keeps sliding away from the fron t of the dogs neck.Oh,and even when I’m with my dog,he won’t even bark or anything and it shocks him,something they have to work on.

Was told this would emit a sound rather than a vibration/shock to help train him to only bark when needed. Not willing to go above level 3 with my dog as it's not important to silence him completely around fear.

A perfect deterrent to barking! I keep it on the automatic setting so my dog gets a couple warnings before the light shock, so she learns quickly that its not ok to bark her head off at the mailman and wake the baby.

For years I have been frustrated that my dog barks. He goes nuts when the Brown truck or other delivery comes. I was having a party and he would have barked the whole time (as he has for many years). Decided to try the Barklimiter for the two days prior. After one zap he didn't want to bark at the vacuum. Went upstairs and lied down. There was a very quiet "woof" at the party, then NOTHING. I didn't spend my party yelling at my dog to be quiet and bothering the guests. The next day he wouldn't bark loud even without the collar on! So thankful. I've tried EVERYTHING and this finally worked. Garmin is great.
