I have had this watch for almost a month now. I used to have an apple watch and once the battery stopped holding a full charge I knew it was time to go. I will start with my dislikes on this watch. 1: the watch is not a touch screen, and while this prevents the watch from automatically starting workouts (which I encountered occasionally with my apple watch), I still find it a bit inconvenient. 2: the watch will not track your V02 max unless you start a run on the watch. I use a few different fitness apps and record my runs on them mostly, so after my fourth run I realized even if I sync my workouts on garmin connect, I don’t get a reading unless I start the run on my watch also. 3: garmin connect does not sync with fitness apps. I have used fitbod for years now, and also recently started using strava instead of MapMyRun. It doesn’t matter if I log weight training or runs on the aforementioned apps, I always have to go into garmin connect and log the workouts individually once complete. Here are the things I like about the watch. 1: the battery life! Once your watch is fully charged, it lasts two weeks (14 days) before needing a recharge. Unlike my apple watch where I would sacrifice sleep tracking to charge the watch overnight, I can wear my forerunner during the day and night. The only time I take it off is when I shower. It also does not take long to charge, I’ve charged it once in the time I’ve had it and it only took a bit over an hour. 2: it tracks heart rate, steps, sleep score, stress, naps, HRV status, V02 max, and more. It also gives you a recap once you wake up of your sleep and previous day’s accomplishments. 3: it’s comfortable to wear, and easy to adjust. It does not bother me while I sleep. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and glad that I switched over to garmin. Yes they are pricey, but you get your money’s worth utilizing all its features!

Excellent watch for the price. I use it for running, biking work outs. The only down side is that it seems to get disconnected at least once a week or so and I have to keep re pairing it. I did not have this problem with the 235. Good watch though and much improved.

I bought this watch for my husband for Christmas, the reason being is that he loves to be able to read his text messages, track his sleep, tracks his steps, allows him to use gps, and modify his watch face. He loves playing with it because there are so many cool features on it. It’s so much better than the Fitbit that he use to own. I highly recommend this watch.

I run cross country and distance track and have used an Apple Watch for years but after switching to this garmin it is the best thing that could ever happen to me. The gps and heart rate monitors are much more accurate and the garmin just has many other quality of life features that are great for runners. The battery life on my Apple Watch only lasted about a day where as this lasts about 2 weeks.

Charged to 100% the very first use, after heavy use for 10 days which include me meeaing with the watch all the time, the charge at end of day 10 was 10-5%. And its been 15 days I puchased this, only 2 times I have charged this watch so far.

Really great watch and very sturdy nothing against samsung but i bumped once on a shelf and it scratche the screen. Did the same by accident with this and no scratch battery life time can last you for days and has so many customization options.

I absolutely love my new watch! This Garmin has all of the features I was interested in, specifically timing my physical activities and related statistics, and the appearance is desirable. I appreciate the ability to review notices, the weather reports, and its connection to my cellphone.

I’ve been using this watch around 2/3 weeks and I’m pretty sure that is what you need. Don’t waste your money in other expensive watches for the same specs.

Excellent smart watch, I have two Garmin scales connected and the watch provides valuable person health information! I bought my wife another version for her and she loves it!

Im not sure I could've got a better watch for health and fitness for the price (on sale: was ~$250). I took a good few weeks to look, and the Forerunner 255 was my choice.
Getting coordinated with the buttons and setting up the UI for yourself can be fiddly, but once I got it set for me, I found myself appreciating the watch even more. The UI design choices made, overall, make this intuitive to use, for me.
Ive had no issues with accuracy of tracking on any sensor; however, I wish sleep (as it can with naps) could be started and stopped by me, manually, instead of detected. Its not so much the sensing, as it is the programming for it to end based on what it considers your wake up time.
Battery life is phenomenal. Ive not owned something that lasts a week on a charge maybe ever, or at least since the 90s. It can go longer, but I like the health metrics constantly recording.
