Customers have good things to say about the Vivofit 3's battery life, ease of use, and its ability to track steps and sleep. Many appreciate its water resistance and the accuracy of its tracking features. However, some customers mentioned the small screen size and occasional issues with the band's durability as drawbacks. A few also noted challenges with syncing the device and the lack of a built-in heart rate monitor.

Bought the Garmin Vivofit 3 tracker to replace a different brand I had used. That brand would not update the programmed fitband so it needed replacing. I like the tracker I have now for it's counting my steps, most of all. It counts my sleep hours. I don't care how many calories gained from foods I consume. I did try adding other suggested apps for that benefit; it proved worthless effort using additional apps whereas it was included with the previous fitband I used.

1 year battery, no charging... syncs to my phone every morning automatically, tracks my sleep and steps, what more do you need. I would recommend it.

Overall I loved the vivofit 3 better than the 1. I felt is was more acurate and had better features. The one complaint I read in all the reviews was a problem with the band. I ignored them. Now I have to buy a new vivofit because the blasted thing fell off and whoever found it decided to keep it. Spend the extra 7-10 bucks and buy a watch style band. Your pocket book will thank you.

My son asked for a band style exercise watch for Christmas. After researching Fitbit, Garmin and others, I chose the Vivofit 3 because the battery lasts a year and does not need to be charged. Also, it has all the functions my son desired and more. The app downloaded easily and paired quickly with his iPhone. He loves tracking his steps, knowing what time it is and using the lap timer. Although it was on sale for $59.99 during Black Friday, it's worth the $79.99 I paid for it before Christmas. Easy to use, durable, light, functional and affordable!

Had this product before and the battery died after 1 year. Perfect, didn't want to charge everyday and wanted to shower and swim without worrying about water damage. Able to customized what I wanted to see on the watch, which was only time, date, steps, mileage. Also able to use when I only want to see info on certain trips (around the park) and yet is accumlates total for day. Automatically resets at midnight. I did change the watch band for a regular band instead of their latch.

The Vivofit 3 step counter seems to be accurate however the mileage tracker is not. I am still adjusting the custom step length to try to improve this. The sleep tracker seems to work fine. I am glad I switched from a Fitbit charge because the Fitbit battery was lasting 24 to 30 hours at best. I tried 4 Fitbit Charges within 15 months and each of them worked and held a charge initially but failed to hold a charge for more than 30 hours after 1 to 6 months. I love the fact that this tracker has a replaceable battery.

I really like my Garmin vivofit, because, it is so easy to use.
I push a button & it gives me the info I need & is waterproof.
The only negative is putting it on by myself was a bit tricky the first time.
This is my 1st tracker, so, I have nothing to compare it to.

Bought this as a gift for my mother. Overall it seems to function well, pick up accurate steps, and the watch itself is relatively easy to use. She still struggles a bit with understanding how it syncs with her phone and the Garmin Connect app. Personally, I don't have any issues, but it is harder for her to understand when it looses connections.

Bought this as a present for my wife. We recently started walking/jogging and I was monitoring using my phone. I figured she wanted to keep track as she is on her feet most of the day at work and this little puppy does what she wants. She syncs at night before bed before it resets at midnight. The only thing we don't like about this watch is there is no backlight. So it is hard to see after the sun goes down. Otherwise it works for our needs until we can replace with a higher model.

This unit does a fine job in all the areas advertised. The most important aspect for me was that it was water resistant. I wear it in the pool often during aquatic exercise classes and it has not failed me at all. I am quite happy with the purchase. Also, I like the idea that it does not have to be charged up. The battery lasts for about a year or more.

We bought this Garmin for our 10-year-old son. This is actually the second one he had; he wore out the first one. This is a good activity tracker for someone to get started with. It is simple to use and can give you the basics like steps and sleep. It also pairs with an app on your device.

I have owned 4 fitness trackers (2 Fitbits, an UP, and a Garmin Vivosmart). I like that this has a replaceable battery and lasts a year without worrying about it needing to be charged every few days. The bracelet connector seems a little flimsy--I hope it doesn't come undone without my knowledge. Other than that a great device for a good price.

Great product! I have had mine for a while and bought this one for my daughter. This fitness tracker is always consistent and accurate. I love the fact that it is waterproof AND it doesn't have to be charged! The rest of my family all started with the Fitbit and every single one lost theirs at some point due to the closure. This Garmin won't fall off your wrist, but is very easy to put on and remove.

This is for my 11 year old son and is his 2nd one. He had the first one for over a year and a half and when we changed the battery I must have put the gasket in a little crooked so water got in and corroded the battery. We liked this model so much that we got another just like it.
It does a great job tracking steps, running, and sleep however it does not work for tracking activity on a bicycle.

I purchased the Garmin because it is water proof not water resistent. I have not completely learned all it can do but I am very happy with what I do know. It is an easy set up and synchs easily to phone. The only thing I was disappointed in was that it doesn't keep track of swimming.

Good tracker. Love the water resistance...no worrying about water damaging it, and the watch battery style means no charging of the battery necessary. Like that it recognizes exercise and I like the Garmin Connect app. I really like the way the band actually locks...much more secure compared to some other tracker bands.

The Garmin Vivofit 3 is comfortable, light weight, water resistant, excellent tracker for your daily steps, sleep, movement and the time. This is my second one, as I lost the first one in Hawaii.
I love that you don't have to take it off to charge it!!! I have replaced the battery once, easy enough. Lasted a year and 1/2.
Good choice!

I purchased this tracker after losing one of a different brand. The band got caught on something and the tracker fell off. This Garmin has a locking band and feels very secure. I like that I can wear it in the shower. Also, I like that the battery lasts for a long time. I hated that I'd have to take the other on off in order to charge it. Haven't found any cons yet. I highly recommend this item!
