I really like the battery life and tracking provided by this fitness tracker; as well as how much information is provided in the companion app. My main issue with this device is the same issue people might have with the similar form factor of the Fitbit Alta. I find that for me there is too much of a deadzone when it comes to activating the display and how hard I have to tap the display to wake it up. Overall it functions well as a fitness tracker but my issues are really tough to deal with if using it as anything more than a casual companion to track data.

It makes a month a have the vivosmart 4. Heart rate is better then my Fitbit charge 2 which wasn’t not recording my heart rate above 170. But it’s doesn’t auto track activity(even if they say it does)...you can add activity but heart rate won’t be include. Sleep is not as accurate as Fitbit. It will record sleep when I ’m awake but calm which the Fitbit didn’t. And doesn’t record naps. I like that you can sync with your phone gps. I like that you can name and comment on your activity. I like that on garmin connect app, it sync with my other garmin device. I like the small wrist band. The Pulse oxymeter is not that accurate( between 3 to 8 % lower). But I don’t really need that feature. Overall I’m happy with the vivosmart 4 as it is more accurate with heart rate for training.

I had an older version that was discontinued?? I got this in place of that and it does the same thing. My only gripe is the small screen size and tapping it the change or access features. It's kinda clumsy and you have to be careful or you may click on something you don't want. If you have small figures you should be ok. Or you need to just take your time to tap on the screen. I still like alot but not sure if I would buy it again if they had one with a bigger screen. A new feature this one has that my old one didn't is stress notifications. I'm not quite sure I understand how it work yet but its suppose to let you know when you maybe overstressing your body??? Likes: that I can see when I receive a notification on my phone that is challenges me / it makes adjustments automatically for goals. That is keeps me informed of my goals

needs to better accommodate disabled people

I bought the Vivosmart 4 to replace an older Garmin fitness tracker and like being able to add swimming and cycling to my activity options. But I don't like that if I select swimming, my dominant activity, the vivosmart 4 does not register my heart rate. Because I am trying to monitor and increase my cardio time I set the tracker for cardio rather than swimming. I also don't like being unable to remove running. Many older people do not run but want to keep track of their fitness efforts. And I have seen numerous good swimmers leave the pool and get onto a wheelchair. The Para-olympics demonstrate clearly that seriously disabled people can be fit even if they can't run or walk.

Good for a smaller device on your wrist. The sleep tracking feature is interesting, and the app it syncs to is easy to use.

I love this watch/fitness tracker. I got it to record my sleep primarily but I love that it does so much more. It stays charged for a week at a time and records steps, sleep, stress & even tells me the temp outside. I Love it.

The vivosmart 4 is sleek and helps you track steps, stairs, sleep, stress, mileage and more. It will give you notifications of text, email, and phone calls which are easily read on the tracker. It also has activity trackers geared specific workouts, such as running or elliptical trainers.

I would defiantly make sure to get a warranty for this watch. I love the style, light weight, and the service that comes along with any muk-ups. I had only had this watch for two months and the silver facing popped off which made it ultra sensitive and answering calls during intimate times, how embarrassing!! I however did purchase the 2yr warranty and had no luck going through Best Buy personally but as soon as I talked to Garmin for the replacement I was HIGHLY impressed!! Would recommend this watch to anyone.

As with other Garmin trackers, it is not quite as intuitive as I would like but is a better value than comparable products from other brands, with more useful features for the price. The tracker is good for logging a variety of workouts. It is also good for monitoring heart rate, but I wish I could keep heart rate on the primary display screen and not have to scroll for it. The tracker seems fairly accurate most of the time although the level of accuracy for me might be negatively affected by the fit—the band juts out too far on the sides of a narrow wrist, and I have gaps between the band and my wrist on each side. This seems to be a common problem with fitness trackers, and I imagine there are not enough women in the room where design decisions are made. I wish there was more flexibility in setting fitness goals, as I am only supposed to do a very small amount of exercise at the moment and am actually using it as a way to stay below certain thresholds.

Garmin finally improved the looks of its products without compromising the precision of its sensors. This tracker is very light and sleek. You can wear it with anything. It is also very unnoticeable. However, this little bracelet can do a lot! I mostly look at the Garmin connect app to read all my stats (their app is the best:) and I can see: HR, steps, floors, body battery, stress level, calories, sleep and all my workouts. This is very powerful for a 100$ gadget. The touch screen isn't disappointing either. Graphics are very basic, but readable and tapping and pressing the main button is not glitchy. You can even receive, read and respond with pre-written messages! All other notifications work flawlessly, no complaints. The battery lasts for several days. I gave up my Garmin vivoactive 4s watch in favor of this tracker since, except the independent GPS, they accomplish the same things. Go for it!:)

Vivosmart4 has shown to be more accurate on heart rate and activity aspects. Battery life is better also. One thing that I would improve - the time show without a double tap, but maybe that's to save the battery. Research showed that Garmin Connect app is noticeably better than competitors which is why I stayed in the "vivo" family.

Overall I’m very happy with this device. The app is great and the device works very well. I’m a little disappointed that the pulse-ox only works for 4 hours at night and there is no option for pulse-ox during a workout. I was really hoping to use the pulse-ox to provide some additional data while running. Otherwise the features are very good and the activity, heart rate, stress, and sleep tracking all work very well.

I love the features and information from this vivosmart. It is a good way to stay aware of my heart rate and energy level numbers. Very comfortable to wear and easy to use. It was a great price for so many features. I do recomend this product and will be buying more of these as gifts.

So far I'm enjoying this product. Its slim and very minimal. I can hardly feel that it's on and sometimes I forget I have it on. Once paired with the app and other garmin devices - IE: Garmin Index smart scale, I can review my sleep data as well as activities.

I'm a mom on the run! With two toddler boys, it keeps me on track and well worth it's price. I was looking for something that was not too large or bulky and this watch is perfect.

Tracks steps ,sleep ,heart rate ,body battery ,and more. It’s pretty accurate. And very helpful. Might not fit someone with bigger wrists. Fits comfortably on mine. Does what I need it to. I would recommend for anyone looking for something like this.

I’m not the person who will ever talk to the hand. When my Charge 3 died, I researched many trackers after learning many of the stats I was used to seeing on the Charge 3 are now only available with a paid subscription (thanks Google). I like the size & info this provides. I am already sad that I will not be able to find this model in the future when this one fails as some nerd will think it needed to be updated; but, it has all I need. Battery lasts about 5-6, depending on the number of notifications received. Would be nice if someone had a screen protector for it.
