This goes for 4-5 days on a single charge. Paired with my phone it gives me a lot of information about my body and hints on how to improve my health.

Fast shipping, bought this for my mother as a birthday present per her request. She loves Garmin her old one was ready to be replaced. And she has small wrists and wanted the narrow device as some of the round watches don't look very feminine and the face of the watch covers her whole wrist. Only wish Garmin had more options. Best Buy's price was competitive with the market.

Better than my Honor Band 5

Bought this to replace my Huawei Honor Band 5. The Garmin app is SO much better than the Huawei app. And much more information. The Vivosmart 4 is smaller than the Honor Band and more comfortable. The band is a stretch rubber so it fits snug around your wrist and never too tight or loose. I love the auto feature that automatically starts recording an activity after it senses you’ve been doing it for 10 minutes. The heart rate feature is constantly on and records in real time so you don’t have to select it and then wait for it to display. It’s always just a flick away. I leave it in heart rate display when I work out so I can see my heart rate in real time, instantly. Can’t say enough nice things about the Garmin Vivosmart 4. And that’s coming from someone that loved the Honor Band. This is better than the Honor Band in every way. The only thing the Honor Band had up on the Garmin is it had a beautiful color OLED display. The Garmin Vivosmart is black and white. But just as clear and easy to read. Now that I’ve used it for a while, I like this display even better.
And lastly, customer support from Garmin is incredible. I contacted them to purchase an extra band loop and they shipped me two of them for free!!

Goes great with a suit or a casual fit. I was able to track all my boxing drills/workouts, my runs and heart rate. I really enjoyed this device for the 2 years that I owned it. The band recently broke and I don't really know how but everything else still works perfectly. From looking at the snapped band, it seems like the glue wore off after constantly being worn underwater even though the item is completely waterproof.
I had a lot of fun updating the on screen text to display funny messages, reading texts on the small screen is easier than I expected. The limited auto-replies are not super useful but also not so bad that it makes it unnecessary. Overall, good build quality, long lasting battery and relatively durable as long as you don't do extreme sports.

I'm a fan of Garmin's software platform for fitness activities, and while I appreciate the discrete, small size of the Vivosmart 4, the operation of the touch screen and lack of any physical buttons led me to return this. The screen is so sensitive it would sometimes register a touch input even from drops of water or sweat, and is too small to consistently register the button I was trying to activate. During workouts, I sometimes experienced missed, delayed, or even double inputs. While I wish Garmin had continued this trend of making their fitness bands smaller & thinner, and it's an excellent size for casual activity tracking, the small, touch-only screen made it unreliable for operating during more intense workouts that required multiple inputs. I would still recommend this for some applications, but there are better options for dedicated exercise trackers, including other versions of the Vivosmart that have a physical button.

Not very good at sleep tracking

I wanted a small fitness tracker that wasn't a huge watch, in particular to wear at night for sleep tracking, and this fit the bill. The form factor is nice, battery life is good, and it's not bad at tracking heart rate and steps. But getting the screen to wake up can be really hit or miss. Sleep tracking is also only really useful if you keep to a schedule. When I fell asleep off the schedule I'd given the tracker, it totally failed to record several hours of sleep. It's then over-eager to say you're asleep when in your set sleep window. It missed multiple late night wakeups where I fully got out of bed to feed and comfort a crying baby--it showed me as still asleep.
I had a Samsung watch previously that was excellent about tracking sleep, activity, and heart rate, but was too chunky to keep sleeping with. I expected the Garmin to be a bit less accurate than the larger and more expensive watch, but it just falls too far short in terms of accuracy.

This device was easy to set up. I downloaded the APP and was able to tailor the device for my specific needs. I really like the heart monitor for checking my pulse during a workout. My wrist measures 8" and the large fits great. It's sleek design is comfortable and non-intrusive, especially wearing a long sleeve dress shirt with my suit. I have several Garmin products and this one is right up there as for as quality and reliability. Nice product.

Great Device, Terrible Band

I buy one of these almost every two years for my wife. She loves it as an activity tracker, mostly for counting steps, monitoring sleep, heart rate and "body battery." I'm not sure how well it works for body battery but the rest work really well. It is capable of recording timed activities as well and it syncs well with Garmin Connect where you can review your daily activities.
The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that the band breaks almost every two years and you have to replace the device as there is no way to replace the band. So in effect, it becomes a disposable item which for $100 I guess it almost is.

Bought this watch for my 18 year old daughter who is a college freshman. She absolutely loves this watch that counts her steps and allows her to check her text messages and also check her heart rate. It is the perfect size for her wrist and allows her to synch her watch with her health app.

I had a vivosport HR which was getting a bit finicky in charging/syncing after a couple years, so picked up the vivosmart 4. HR tracking is as reliable as the vivosport and the PulseOx is a neat feature, though I'm not sure that the metrics are reliable.
One standout feature for me is the Body Battery; it tracks very well against my overall perceived energy level. When working long days or on days after limited sleep, that Body Battery estimate seems to be on par with how tired I feel. Great feature!
It is by far the slimmest Garmin fitness band I've owned, and I like the size. It's still usable, and doesn't look too strange if you also like to wear a watch on the other wrist. The form factor lends well to keeping the Garmin activity tracking going circumspectly.

Love this tracker. I was so tired of bulky trackers. This one is slim and sleek.. but gets the job done. Easy to read and accurate. I thought it wouldn't hold up to hard workouts, but it's still going strong after a few months n still looks great

I really wanted this smartwatch to work all around to not be confined to a Samsung or Apple alternative. However from spotty tracking for activity, O2, sleep and heart rate to the just to darn small screen for adult fingers, makes this Garmin a no go for me. I wish there were more Android alternatives in this market that can at least do the tracking of activity, sleep, O2 and heart rate more accurately.
