Love my new fridge. It’s the perfect size for my space. I like the door alarm. I don’t like the wasted freezer space with all the plastic but I have two deep freezers so I’m not in need of space. If this were my only freezer I would be upset. Also I don’t like how the water button is above the spout you need two hands to fill your water. Could be easier if they put the button below the spout so the cup could just be pushed against it.

We were happy to be able to replace our dead refrigerator with this GE counter depth model on a timely basis with minimal remodeling. It has some nice features that include glass moveable shelves and a number of drawers as well as LED lighting. It was also nice to match the slate color to the stove and above the range microwave that had been replaced in the last coupleof years - only GE offers this option. Only time will tell about quality and value, but so far so good.

Bought this particular refrigerator because it was one of two with double doors that fits the limited space in the kitchen. The first one purchased was poorly designed inside and the trays would fall out so returned it and purchased this one. It was great for a minute until it wasn’t. First, seemed like a good idea to have the water dispenser inside the refrigerator until it’s time to use it: it requires the door to stay open which is letting out the cold air and using energy; but the big issues are the refrigerator portion stated to freeze like the freezer, freezing everything including the eggs. That goes on for about a week then it stops, as in stops everything including cooling which causes everything to go bad. After a few days of not working it will start humming loudly, then it will again start working again. This has happened several times in a few months. GE has serviced it and says it’s due to small gaps in the refrigerator doors that’s causing air to get out and suggested the doors be slammed shut. That hasn’t worked. The same thing happened again. The freezer portion seems to work, but will over ice at times. Repair is again scheduled. Losing money on food with this refrigerator.

    Great fridge for smaller spaces

This is a great fridge, I have had it for 5 months and I am really happy with it. The counter depth and size are perfect for my smaller space. I finally have a fridge that I can open the doors all the way open. The space is tight between the cabinets and the wall. The old fridge door hit the cabinet counter across from it. The size measurements were accurate and the sales person at Best Buy was very helpful in answering questions. The freezer part is a little smaller (which I knew before buying it) than my old fridge/freezer, but I gained space in the fridge. It's so much easier to organize and find what I am looking for in the new fridge.

Only issue is that there’s water/condensation that builds up on the doors and it drips down onto the seal of the freezer door.

The appearance of the refrigerator is great, the interior space is just right for our purposes but the vibration noise from inside the freezer section is annoying. It appears to be coming from the evaporator fan cover. It started a few hours after it was installed. The noise has been intermittent.

    Not accurate description

The dept is only 27 inches not like the description states saying is 29 inches deep, the inside is also very small, and makes a humming sound. The racks inside are 12 inches long, you can barely fit a plate.

We appreciate the feedback as our information is showing the depth of the refrigerator without the handle is 29". The door is curved, so it is 4-1/4"D at the center of the refrigerator and 3-1/4"D at the hinge. That may account for some of the confusion about the depth. -Vikki@GEAppliances GE_Appliances

Great little fridge. Keeps food fresh and super cold on all shelves. Pros: shelves are adjustable in height, easy to clean, doors have a lot of storage space Cons: freezer drawers are small, water dispenser is not very ergonomic.

Love my GE fridge. Lots of space for a counter depth fridge. Shelves and drawers are easy to remove and clean. Beautiful finish that is also easy to keep clean. Purchased 2 years ago and still going strong. Highly recommend!

It's quiet, good looking, fits perfect, makes adequate ice. We really don't need the water dispenser and we don't need the filter since our kitchen already has a filter. We don't need that little retractable shelf and it seems kind of flimsy. The actual temperature is 4 degrees lower than the setting.

This model was a perfect fit and size combination for my kitchen.Installing was simple and after 3 years of use we have had zero problems with this appliance. I personally think the design for the water dispenser was an afterthought, making it difficult to push the button and hold a glass and the refrigerator door at the same time. The water dispenser is located inside of the refrigerator.

Rattling noise when fan is on. Best Buy sent someone out to fix it they leveled it which wasn’t done by the install team but it still makes noise. Glass on the shelves does not pop out someone something tipped over and spilled it leaked straight into the crisper bins and underneath the center plastic piece. I can’t get in there to clean it the glass doesn’t pop out so I can clean it so I’ve got brown yuck and this refrigerator is one month old- see pic. I waited six months for this refrigerator if it wasn’t so hard to get them these days I would probably return it.
