Very disappointed in this washing machine. Started using Downey fabric softener and IT DOESNT EMPTY INTO THE WASHING MACHINE!!! Very annoying and disappointing. I’ve got kids! I want my clothes to smell good. Appears to be a defect but I’m going to figure this out this weekend. I started using Downey fabric softener on Thursday or Friday. All weekend my laundry room stinks which I couldn’t figure out because I washed all of the clothes. Opened up the washer and STINKS! Has a wet rag left in the washing machine smell then I noticed the Downey fabric softener still in the cassette. Very disappointed! I was 100% happy until this happened. I really hope I didn’t realize I need to push a button or something but considering I just saw another review about this same problem I’m assuming it’s just this washing machine. I’ll update if I’m wrong!

Luv this washing machine. I have owned and hated top end front loaders and budget top loaders. This machine finally has the capacity, cleaning ability and all the bells and whistles I have been searching for. Finally no “blotches” of detergent left on my clothes. I am a nurse and my husband a farmer so our clothes can be very dirty. This machine gets them clean and smelling fresh. Love the agitator that actually moves the clothing into the water unlike others without an agitator. The extended max spin cycle means our jeans and bedding dries super fast. I can get two or three loads more done per day than before. Don’t hesitate to buy both the washer and dryer.

I Love how big and deep this machine is but it does make a lot of noise in different modes while washing, however clothes are clean.
My son is happy he does not have to wash two of the same color loads. He can just make 1 load.
My last washer was also a glass top GE that had an option for 3motion settings. This one has 1 motion for all washes and 1 for delicate the Del motion washes really weird.
I am happy for the most part.
I do not like the stinky Front loaders. They don’t clean your clothes like This one.

I looked for weeks and weeks for a large capacity top loading washing machine with an agitator....never liked the front loaders...we needed a quiet one since ours is upstairs. This one has been wonderful cleaning our clothes and very quiet! I've done sheets and towels and the clothes are super clean! I do use the max spin cycle and the clothes are almost dry when they are done! I also like the deep wash choice where I can add more water and also that the lid doesn't lock when filling so I can add more clothes as I wish. I've had this new washer for one month now 6/2019,

This was delivered a little over a week ago, so I cannot review the durability of the washer. Our old one we had for almost 20 years before it died, hoping to get at least 1/2 that time if not more.
So far I'm impressed. The tub is much more spacious than I had expected. I was able to do all my towels in one load and they came out fresh smelling and clean.
I love all the cycle choices and the several water temp choices. I haven't figured them all out yet. The washer is a little loud but, as it is stored away in a laundry room, we don't notice it much unless in the room.
It took me a wash or two to figure out how to use the fabric softener dispenser. It only works if the deep rinse option is selected (it wouldn't have taken me so long to figure it out if I had actually read the users manual)
So far I'm impressed with the quality and the load size. I'm hopeful that I'll be impressed with durability as well.

Leaves white detergent on EVERYTHING!

Worst washing machine I’ve EVER OWNED!!! GE went down hill! Our 20 yr old washer worked so much better than this one! It leaves white soap on ALL OF YOUR DARK CLOTHES! You can’t use powder detergent, scent boosting balls because that makes it worse. I use liquid detergent and it’s a nightmare! I have to use a scrub brush every time I wash clothes to try to scrub off the detergent and hang them dry AFTER IVE WASHED AND DRIED THEM! Keep shopping! I will NEVER PURCHASE GE AGAIN! Total waste of money! I’m going upload a pair of shorts that just came out of the dryer. They cannot be worn unless I’ve scrubbed the soap off and allow them to dry! This happens with half your darks/colors!

Works well right out the gate. Happy with purchase so long as it holds its current function. Cant beat the agitator and takes half the time as 6 month old recalled washer we consistently had to add water to. Also cuts drying time as it spins well.

Had to replace my washer after moving. My old one was small, but it got clothes clean, although very wet. I really enjoy having the option to increase the spin time. Clothes come out damp not wet, which decreases drying time. I also love this had the option to come with the agitator. It seems that all the new washers are getting rid of them but my personal experience has been that the clothes seem to get cleaner with the agitator.

I went to different competitions and were told that what I wanted, an agitator, extra fill option, at a reasonable price didn’t exist. Then I found this washer at Best Buy. This washer gets my closets extremely clean, cut my laundry time in half because I can basically do two loads at once since this washer is super spacious and powerful, and was extreme reasonably priced. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

I researched and hesitated on this purchase for MONTHS before deciding. It turns out, I made the right selection. I'm still one of the 'old school' need an agitator kinda people and this washer has one but still has a huge tub. First load I did was two full sets of king size sheets, second load was tiny delicates. The washer was louder on the second load because there were more 'swishing' of the water noises, but very very pleased with how quiet this machine is. I've owned another that was WAY louder. Both loads of clothes came out fresh and clean, love all the settings options. Love this washer!

Had a front loader for years. Yes it worked great but made our clothes smell. So we purchased this and love it. Some say they are noisy. If your used to a front loader yes there is more noise but not any different than any other topload washer.

I have had the machine for about 2 months and am very pleased with my purchase. I chose this brand for the longevity and because it had an agitator. Too many people I know miss the agitator in their machines! No issues with how the clothes come out, even the blankets, comforters, and sheets. It does a good job of sensing the load and not overfilling it with water. The noise level is not an issue and cycle choices are plentiful. It is easy to use. I am still in the process of trying out more options, but so far this machine is a great choice.

I loved that this had the option to come with the agitator. It seems that all the new washers are getting rid of them but my personal experience has been that the clothes seem to get cleaner with the agitator. You get more of that hand wash feel. I love the clear top to see through as well.

This washing machine does a great job getting clothes clean. It's shocking how much of a load it can handle and yet, it's one of the smallest ones (of the regular sized units). The High Efficiency is great, it uses much less detergent. Clothes come out clean and spun so well they're practically dry.

We have a large family and we needed a large capacity washer. We found and purchased this one with reservations about all the water saving features. It has two part agitator so it moves the laundry which we love. After a couple of loads using those water savers where there wasn’t a visible amount of water, we felt like the clothes weren’t really clean. So we pulled out the manual and Google and discovered the deep fill button. Pressing it and holding it down until it plays its 2 second “song” overrides the BS, fills the tub so there is the right amount of water for agitation, and the clothes are clean.

The washer cleans so well because of the agitator. The clothes come out smelling so fresh and the stains lift easily. I love the various settings that allow me to really customize each load. It is a little noisy at times, but since we keep our machine in the garage, it doesn’t bother us. If you want old school cleaning power with today’s modern touches, this is the perfect washing machine for you.

After reading all of the reviews, I selected this washer, and I'm sorry I did. My main complaint is that is goes out out balance very easy with towels, bedding and rugs. The odd thing is that it continues to fill with water while saying its out of balance. I don't dare leave the house when I'm doing a load, fearful it will just overflow. It it very noisy on spin, and I wish that I had repaired my old Cabrio instead of buying new. Every top load that I looked at seemed cheaply made compared to models 10 and even 20 - 25 years ago. Hopefully somewhere down the road the manufacturers will go back to making good quality products. In the meantime, I'm stuck with a washer I'm not happy with.

My 14 year old dryer needed to be replaced, so I decided to buy this matching washer. I was very surprised that this washer has exceeded my expectations! I was concerned about a review that said the washer went out of balance easily during the spin cycle & the delivery person said that the washer needs to be leveled properly at installation & that won’t be a problem. He was right, it has not been a problem & the washer performs wonderfully! I love the Diamond Gray color.
