The remote was easy to program, only wished the volume buttons would control the TV volume w/o switching modes. Each device must turned on individually.

It's my experience that this remote works best if I hold it in a vertical angle instead of pointing at my device. At times that doesn't work either so I need to try additional angles. For that reason I'm only giving it four stars. It takes a hot minute to learn which buttons do what, as each is not labeled exactly as my device remote is. The best part and the only reason I opted to purchase this device, is because it has backlighting which is a necessity for me while watching tv with house lights off.

Bought this for my mother-in-law to control her myriad of components. She was having issues with multiple remotes and remembering which HDMI to press for which item and this all-in-one did well. I dinged it one star simply because there are better (and far more expensive) solutions out there. For a basic unit, very pleased.

i really liked the feel of this remote, but bottom line is that it was too much for us. we ended up returning it. the functionality of the remote was just fine, once it was set up it did what we needed it to do, but it was difficult to figure out which button controlled which device on the fly and after two weeks we still were not feeling it. we liked that it lit up. the programming guide was quite lengthy and printed quite small. we ended up going with a 4 device remote that is not as sleek, but more intuitive and more appropriate for our situation. best buy accepted my return without any trouble, a feature which enabled us tto try this remote with confidence.

I purchased the remote so I could program my sound bar, tv and set up box from Verizon, the tv and set box programed fine but couldn't program my sound bar so unfortunately I don't useit. I guess if you want to program all your equipment ( playstation, dvd player) it should work fine.

The set up was easy. It controls my TV and my cable box. The only bummer is I have a sound bar and when in cable mode the volume doesn't control the sound bar. Otherwise I love the look and functionality!

Not complicated to set up, very helpful that it has the backlit feature for watching at night or in a dark room. Reasonably prices compared to other remotes.

this is a decent remote for the price - I also like the size and feel of the remote - it is lightweight and slim line - so easy to hold and use

Very light to hold, with an excellent back-light feature Transmitter is stronger than the other four remotes that I am replacing. Probably the best value on a non-programmable remote. It even works lying flat on the little table that is aimed at the TV, without having to pick it up. Batteries are not supplied with the remote.

Solid remote. Not hard to program - set it up for my Verizon cable box and Vizio TV. Would be nice to have an all on/off feature.

This is a good remote to replace a factory remote for my tv (dog ate the old one, true story). Works good and I still have most of the functions from the factory remote.

For this price point, it does everything it should. I do wish you could press one button and all components would turn on. Overall, happy with the remote.

Original remote for my surround sound stopped working. This replacement does exactly what I need. Turn the unit on and adjust the volume.

Solid universal remote. Easily adjust volume and channels. I haven't been able to use some of the Comcast channel search features.

This is a universal remote that has a backlight feature that programs very easily. Only problem I have found is there is no way to change the source that the TV pulls from on the remote. So if you want to switch from the DVD player to cable you have to get up and change the source on the TV itself or use the separate TV remote.

Easy to set up, use and point at things. Extremely light-weight so extended couch-surfing won't be impacted by a cramped up forearm. Highly recommended to those people whose dog has chewed the original manufacturers remote into 12,034 pieces of sharp, useless plastic. On another note - free dog to good home.

Easy to program! Lights up so u can see remote in the dark

I was connecting a number of different brand appliances and was able to program the remote for all but one.

This thing has worked great! Had no problem syncing this with all my devices, except my Sanyo sound bar.
