I LOVE this washer!

Every time I use this washer I say to my husband how much I love it! I have had this since February, 2008 and it is now August, 2008. I have found NOTHING that I don't like about it! It holds so much in one load that it takes me so much less time to do the laundry. Of course, then I still have to fold it all, but you know what I mean! It also uses so much less detergent. I bought a bottle when we first had this delivered and have just now run out. It also has many cycles to choose from and you can even create your own custom cycles. It even has a cycle for cleaning vomit. Gross, I know but came in handy when my daughter was sick recently. I'm so happy we discovered this before we purchased the other washer we had been considering.

The best top load washer on the market

I purchased this washer after reading several reviews. We owned a Whirlpool Duet Front Load washer for the last few years and I can tell you that this washer blows our old front load away. The clothes come out cleaner and the washer has every possible wash setting available. We couldn't be happier with our purchase.

Please avoid this product, or any other appliance from GE. After 4 years this washer needed its main board replaced at a cost of $300. This was on 12/16/09. First available service date was 12/22/09. A technician came and determined the electronics were dead and ordered parts, which came 12/24/09. They called to schedule service on 12/28/09 - we were away, so service was performed on 1/6/10. On 1/21/10, the machine effectively destroyed itself during normal washing. The internal drum came off during the spin cycle and dented the machine internally, broke parts, caused the machine to move about, and put a hole in the wall. I immediately called GE - the next available service appointment was 1/25/10. A different technician came out, saw the damage, documented it, and told me to call GE after he left. I called again - the problem listed was 'consumer abuse' and they said they would replace the machine at a prorated cost. Even though it was obvious that the problem was caused by GE and their service, I had to pay for it. 'These things happen' was what I was told after speaking to 6 different people. So be warned - not only is the quality poor in that it needed a $300 repair after just 4 years, the service is horrendous. Avoid GE at all costs! (It is now 2/1/10 and I'm still trying to get it replaced).
